Intro] Wash off your sins Bound by the burden of the grief that's found within Drowned in a sea of sorrow bound to learn to swim Wash off your sins [Verse 1] Since you were born A flake of a broken soul who never would endure Shaped by the ills of fate that always felt unsure Since you were born [Refrain] In your eyes, I Could see a loathing for the truth You are burning within [Chorus] Dead you are A yearning for eternal life A longing for a sacrifice Praying for the end of time As the curtain falls [Verse 2] Under the cross The revelations of a narcissistic mind Harbored resentment for the joys of humankind Under the cross [Instrumental] [Bridge] Wake up And pull out the thorns from your heart Wake up Or sleep with the damned [Chorus] Dead you are A yearning for eternal life A longing for a sacrifice Praying for the end of time As the curtain falls [Outro] Words Hard to forgive How could we fall From grace

I doubted they would ever top this album and they still haven't although the past two records since this have been very good.. but they just don't have the magic this album has - they don't sound as cohesive or evocative as Lykaia at all to me.
I agree. In terms overall tone and song structure, it feels like they're trying to emulate Lykaia, but falling short. I hope they experiment a bit and bring something new and exciting to their next album.
Yes, this album is their best. I just bought it on vinyl 5 yrs after buying the cd. Vinyl sounds fantastic(analog recording on this one). Magical record!
I just got into these guys and I've worked through their discography starting with Lotus. Honestly, all their stuff is really good and I absolutely love this band as a very melodic, vocal oriented form of prog metal. But I think Lykaia is definitely their best, it's just a phenomenally well written album.
They can't emulate Lykaia because they've strayed too far from the metal genre, unfortunately. Besides, I think the last two albums are a bit repetitive.
Great song, great record. Lykaia is my favorite Soen album. Magical and Epic!.
That outro just rips me apart every time...
My favourite song from Soen.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
So underrated
Intro]
Wash off your sins
Bound by the burden of the grief that's found within
Drowned in a sea of sorrow bound to learn to swim
Wash off your sins
[Verse 1]
Since you were born
A flake of a broken soul who never would endure
Shaped by the ills of fate that always felt unsure
Since you were born
[Refrain]
In your eyes, I
Could see a loathing for the truth
You are burning within
[Chorus]
Dead you are
A yearning for eternal life
A longing for a sacrifice
Praying for the end of time
As the curtain falls
[Verse 2]
Under the cross
The revelations of a narcissistic mind
Harbored resentment for the joys of humankind
Under the cross
[Instrumental]
[Bridge]
Wake up
And pull out the thorns from your heart
Wake up
Or sleep with the damned
[Chorus]
Dead you are
A yearning for eternal life
A longing for a sacrifice
Praying for the end of time
As the curtain falls
[Outro]
Words
Hard to forgive
How could we fall
From grace
when we fall*
Thank you!
I think this is the Best of SOEN
Love some rhythm shred guitar.
My favorite song of all time!
Tool + Opeth + System of a Down = Soen
Well, the drummer is an ex-member of Opeth ;)
@@detike14 I know, I took a photo with him when they came to play in Bologna in 2018 😄
@@StefanoKerouac Thats awesome! I gonna see this guys the 14th of october in Amsterdam 😉
This poetry ❤
Perfekt mašin!
Wash off your sins
Bound by the burden
Of the grief that's found within
Drown in a sea of sorrow
Bound to learn to swim
Wash off your sins
Since you were born
A flake of of a broken soul
Who never would endure
Shaped by the hands of fate
That always felt unsure
Since you were born
In your eyes, I
Could see a longing for the truth
You are burning within
And within, you are yearning
For eternal life
Longing for a sacrifice
Waiting for the end of time
As the cards unfold
Under the cross
The relations of a narcissist in mind
Harbored resentment
For the joys of human kind
Under the cross
Wake up
And put out the thorns
From your heart
Wake up
Or sleep with the tide
And within, you are yearning
For eternal life
Longing for a sacrifice
Waiting for the end of time
As the cards unfold
Words
Hard to forgive
When we fall
From grace
Thanks!
Cântecul meu preferat!
Ce fain! ❤️
Increíble mi nueva banda favorita
Großartig ♥️
This song is marked as explicit, because of the bass tone
The part at 3:34 really hits special, am I right?
If someone ...
When im almost of died, i just wanna hear that outro before ...
I know the possibilities that don't happen...
But would be awesome..
what are the back voices of the outro saying?
Worst of fall
How can we find the truth
How could you be so wrong
Reap what you saw
@@egg596 I think this is a typo, the last line should be "reap what you sow", but yes. And so wonderful.
Banda da gota serena
Pena de chumbo

I still think their best music is on cognitive
boring.
Why every metal band has to have "fall from grace" phrase in their lyrics?
