- Build orders are essential for improving in Age of Empires 2 and now there is an interactive build order guide to help you practice. In this video I highlight the "Man At Arms into Archers" build order which is a great starting point for newer players. I play using the guide myself to give you all an idea of what it's like. Whoever made this needs ease up with the grades, I just started learning this but I've shaved like 4 minutes off my time (Down to 24 minutes) and sucks to constantly see F F F -_-
how do you click on your scout?
Can you redo this tutorial on DE, i think it's easier to follow that way

@@ottomanpapyrus9365 the only difference is the voice is not TTS so its clearer, and you can see instructions on screen with counters and shit all the time

The build order is fine, but usually what I see a lot in competitive play is that high level players actually use the militia and scout to escort two villagers to build forward towers on enemy wood lines.
Hey Tristan. Thanks for presenting this guide, will try it out. A question though: wouldn't you in a real game make horse collar at cca 15 minutes or so? It looked like you might afford it and it would probably help pretty soon...

I really don't like doing any build order where I have to make more than 6 farms without horse collar. It just seems like a waste. Is there any version of m@a into archers where you get horse collar relatively soon? Like 8 farms?
I guess if you push/mill deers you have less farms to build.

Hey T90, I enjoyed watching the tutorial! Two questions came up while watching:
1. What difference does it make when you have 3 oder 4 vills on wood after the first 6 on sheep? I see different players go for 3 or 4 sometimes.
2. Is it really worth it to delay horse collar until clicking up to castle? Seems like a waste with so many farms and I'd assume it doesn't make a big difference for the castle time but will reward you in the medium/long run.

4 vills on wood is important if you want to go for 2 Ranges you might get it without but its pretty thight
best way try it out and see if you are fine with 3 vills on wood
The Tutorial didnt took in account that he is making this many farms i guess if you have 16 famrs i would get it too
when you want to go for scouts you should go for 3 on wood for example

Is it okay to get loom with pop 12?
only if you are housed longer or you really need it for boar lure/ vils at front etc
I dont like loom in dark age because it delays my 8 min feudal age
Are berries not efficient? Why these build orders ask to transfer from berries to farms if you don't need to spend wood at that moment?

T90: around 18 farms is enough you dont need more....
Me: average game around 30 or more farms
He imho meant at that point in the game you don't need more. You should eventually go for about 120 vils, and 30+ of these would surely be farming :)

I'm a little confused, why bother even making the men at arms?
they slaughter vills! if they arrive at the enemy base as feudal comes in, the enemy are not ready to repel you.
imagine the enemy sending 6 knits whilst youre upgrading to castle.
