Congratulations, David,Kim,and Nala on 10,000 subs.🎉🎉🎉 I am so glad you plan on keeping things the way they are as far as the vlog goes. I love watching you. LOVE FROM IOWA! 😊❤❤❤
Congrats on 10k! We really enjoy your content. Please keep it coming. Your vlogs are refreshingly authentic and very informative. We visited Korea twice and stumbled upon your channel when you only had a few posts. We are planning our trips to see SE Asia and your vlogs have been so helpful. Da Nang is on the list thanks to your content!
Kudos to you David, Kim and Nalla. Greeting from Palo Alto. I’m a new subscriber and new to your channel. My wife and l have been enjoying your blogs. We specially enjoy the different cafes and restaurants that you both get to enjoy, it’s a treat for us as well. Also, do keep sharing the cost of the meals and the drinks, that helps us put things in perspective and we enjoy that as well. Lastly, as ourselves are huskies(x2) owners, pls do continue adding Nalla to your blogs, we enjoy seeing him too. Your blogs makes us feel we’re among friends. Keep up the good work. More power to you both.
Congrats on 10k!!! 🥳🥳 Glad to say I was here before that😆 I hope you can finally get to talk to someone from TH-cam! Take care David, Kim, and Nala! Just to add, I hope Kim buys a magnet from all the countries you go to!!! 😂
Congratulations on the 10K!!🎉 Yes, to keeping the vlogs raw and authentic. Can't wait to see the adventures with Nala. I am sure she will be happy to not have to wear the muzzle and have a yard.
Congrats!!! 10k is just a start. I'm quite sure that number will just keep going UP, UP, UP. Love your vids. Excited to go travelling with y'all. Can't wait to see you 3 in the new house. Fun times.
Congrats 🎉🍾🎈 on 10k and the new place! Looking forward to seeing it all cleaned up. That place will be way easier for getting deliveries and taking Nala out. Plenty of room for a scooter 🛵 or e-bikes now too!
Yes! People underestimate the headache navigating downstairs to pick up food delivery where the elevator is stopping in every floor and the grab driver keeps trying to call you 😭
Hell yeah, you should move into that place. I'm glad you're doing it. Congrats on 10k. Next time you see Sal let him know I subbed, but only because he starting featuring you. Hahaha
Great summary of the options in Danang. My Jpn gf and I looked at Monarchy, Hiyori, Azura and Indochina. It was difficult to find availability for what we wanted, plus dealing with agents is so tiring. We agree that we wouldn't visit the VinPearl mall that much. We decided just to get a serviced apartment walkable on the edge of An Thuong. When we go back, we'll have to check out Bach Dang and Filmore. That story of the negotiating with the Landlord sounds horrible - culture differences - you made the right decision. I think half of it was also the agent in between. Congrats on 10k subs! Now you can finally contact YT!
It is really rough finding a place here because all the agents have different listings so you have to deal with a bunch of agents at the same time. An Thuong has great options. We probably would have ended up there if we didn’t have business on the city side. I’m pretty sure that the landlord and the agent for that place were related. It was a little suspicious. Seemed like the agent was using the unit to throw parties.
Nice Video David and congrata on the 10k subs! Interesting to see your journey with Nala, we ended up locking into a 6 month contract on the exact apt you viewed on Ha Bong with our 2 little pomeranians. So far things are going great. Will be keen/exited to see how your house move goes. I think Nala will love a bit more space. Right choice I think 👍
Oh that’s so cool! I thought that was a great apartment (even better than our current one). I think if it wasn’t for the our commute to the city side, we would have picked that one so I’m so glad you’re enjoying it.
congratulations on 10k we're looking for accommodation in Da Nang ourselves right now. There's more: brand new Sam Tower with good renovation. Blooming Tower - they have very large three room apartments with great views of the bay.
Yeah those are ok too. The downside is the location. They’re very far up north and there’s not much near you. Lots of empty lots. But of course the trade off though is you get much better value for money
The weather is cool but you might still catch the end of the rainy season. The beaches are safe there are lifeguards always there and they will have red flags up and not let people swim when they deem conditions unsafe. The beaches here are super kid friendly IMO. They’re shallow super far out and the waves are generally super mild.
Thanks I was surprised it cut out almost all the wind noise it was super loud up there. I have no idea I assume if you buy from official channels then it’s all the same
Hello David & Kim & Nala! been watching your vlogs ever since I was planning for our trip in VN! all of them were super helpful! just curious what visa do you guys use for moving in Da Nang? :)
We have been in the Filmore. It is a great building, it seems many units have been purchased on spec, up to 1 million dollars for some units. Several issues it is very noisy next to heavy loud music at night and new construction next door on both sides. Many units are being rented including the one we got on a 90 day lease. We come every year to DaNang it is by far the best City in Vietnam, at least for us, with the only issue of Many Tourists, on junkets. Vietnam like Other Asian Countries has many busted half finished developments, but is bustling with new and remodeled construction on each and every street. DaNang is a foodie paradise. A meal from $3 to $150, almost all excellent. One could only hope introduction of California wines. Where else can you get an entire prepared Peking Duck, including sides delivered for $28 US from a high class Restaurant?
That’s a great choice. The resort villas are very nice and we considered them and might have lived there if we didn’t have to go to the city side often
Enjoy your videos! I actually play basketball there as well about 3x times a week. People start showing up at the court usually after 5:30 pm pretty much everyday as long as it's not raining. Maybe I'll see you there 😂
@TravelWithNala Yup. Pick up. You can just show up ask around and form a team. Usually people only play 4v4 half court. From your video, the courts on the left side of the soccer field is where everyone plays. The right side is normally for groups/teams to rent out, but you can go there if there's no one playing on it as well.
I think a lot of people would enjoy the quieter areas. IMO driving on a scooter along the beach is not a chore at all so you can always cruise into the city
Theres actually a lot do vegetarian restaurants in Da Nang. Not sure if there’s any walking distance but definitely plenty of options within a 5 min drive
Hey there! Congrats on your successes! Your videos are more honest than most. Can you tell me about your electric scooter that I saw in Social Sammy's video? I'm moving there on 1/3/25 and want to buy one
@@chrisfisher1975 oh no it's an ICE. A popular electric scooter here is the Vinfast scooter. The electric scooters are also legal to drive without a license.
@@TravelWithNala yeah that’s why I wanted an electric. I figure I’ll buy one right away, and if for some reason I do move, I’ll just sell it or give it away to the next nomad. Any recommendations? Is there a better way for us to chat? I have some other questions. Thanks! Dinner is on me when I get there!
I’ve watched so many of your videos and Sam’s videos, and a few others, maybe I got it mixed up. I was just trying to find the video where I thought it was electric, but grrr
Hi David, I’m new to your channel and currently living in Orange County California. I’m retired but the wife is not. I’ve planned to move to Vietnam to retire 6 months out of the year and back to US. Question about the VISA to travel and live there. Do we need any document to live there if we decided to stay a little longer than 6 months? Thank you Dino
Yeah the tourist visa is only 90 days. A lot of people take a flight to Thailand for a week for like a vacation within a vacation or they do a visa run to Loas border
That river is not living up to its potential. It’s missing paddle boarders, jet skiers, and kayakers. They should clean it up to recreational level - I Imagine that would benefit the riverside real estate.
Leave the river alone, there’s a whole ocean a couple mins away. Maybe make the two sides along the river more recreational; park, trees etc. like in Huế.. there’s a longgg park and walking area all along the perfume river on both sides
Are you concerned about rats getting into your house? There's lots in Danang and that's why I want something a few floors up. I have heard about rats getting into the apartments.
Does this make you a real TH-camr now?😂 Jokes aside, in Vietnam there's a real issue with landlords and useless maintenance fees. Complaining about faulty and rundown facilities doesn't work🤦
Am I…. A professional TH-camr 😲. Haha yeah unfortunately landlords not fixing things seems to be a global thing. Luckily it’s super easy in Da Nang to find people to come over and fix pretty much anything
We would love a comprehensive review of monarchy. We are looking at moving to da nang with a big dog too and thanks to your videos are looking at monarchy. Seems like there aren’t too many options if you have a big dog :(
Yeah I’ll try to do one. I think it’s a great option in a great location. It’s also one the only high rise buildings that allows big dogs. Places like Hiyori only allows small dogs. There a big dog community at monarchy too that all have their dogs play in the courtyard in the morning and a few dog friendly cafes too in the building
@TravelWithNala also do you mind me asking how you got Nala to Danang? From our research we are able to get our dog to HCM but from there to Danang seems difficult. A lot of agents are recommending train or private car for that part which doesn’t seem ideal.
@@ChauNgo83 You can fly directly to Da Nang. Websites weren't up to date when we flew in and said HCMC and Hanoi were the only animal quaratine gates. I would call Da Nang International to confirm. We flew into Da Nang directly and we always see a couple dogs at the airport when we fly in and out.

turning lovely patina into a plastic addendum?
