And yeah Adachi does rely so much using His Izanagi, even still Azrael can still take a lot of beating and probably analyze His opponent from those attacks and all. Though knowing Adachi He probably transport Azrael into the fog and fight endless swarm of Shadows if the Guy doesn't want to give up. About Adachi and His gun, He never used it once to shoot directly on a Person ever. He's a coward that relied on others to do His dirty work (again, why He rely on Izanagi so much) in P4AU He had a move that shot the ground only to intimidate His opponent. Even though People said that Adachi was an ace shooter with His gun (and manage to shoot the crystal in P4AU), He still wouldn't take the shot when it comes to a real Human being just because of how a Coward He is. I seriously wonder whether Hazama/System purposefully brought in Azrael or not. At the very least, even if it *wasn't* on purpose, *why* did they put him on the gatekeeper side? Hazama should have known this would happen. XD
