The games in BBTAG are: - BlazBlue - Persona 4 - Under Night In-Birth - RWBY - Akatsuki Blitzkampf (the last two from the video) - Arcana Heart (the pink girl with the naked angel) - Senran Kagura (the skating kimono Ice girl)
9:00 Bethany is correct when she says those are Coffins as wings. That's because the being behind Elizabeth is her Persona Thanatos. The Greek God of Death

this game is my life, i’ve loved playing this game for so long and seeing this is so cool one thing to note is that most of the characters with “stands” are persona characters that have “personas”, which are really good story driven games that i highly recommend playing, even on your own time the only none persona characters with stands are celica (who has a robot named menerva, a gift from her sister nine) and orie (that honestly i have no idea how she has a stand)
Orie’s Stand is just how her power happens to manifest itself. You see, almost everyone in Under-Night (Merkava being a notable exception) draws power from the same source, but it manifests differently from person to person based on their personality.
Interesting little fact, the creator of Blazblue series Toshimichi Mori and the creator of the Senran Kagura series Kenichiro Takaki were college roommates. Yumi (The 17 year old in a white kimono that is threatening to slip off) her Astral Finish is based off of her Ultimate Secret Ninja Art: Ice Queen Mode.
Yumi is 18 otherwise didnt k ow they were roommates, kinda shows how great friendships can be, they both created their own game series that were highly acclaimed and loved
As someone who's been a long time fan of the Blazblue series it makes so happy to see you guys react to this. The demon girl with an umbrella you pointed out is actually a vampire named Rachel who fights along with her two familiars, a cat named Nago (who turns into the umbrella as well as many other things) her smaller bat familiar Gii. She has the power to manipulate the wind and can call down large bolts of lightning. I just wish that this game featured all of the playable characters from the series. A lot of them have some sick Astrals but unfortunately a lot of them didn't make it into this game.
1:00 You were close. Ragna turns into a humanoid demon resembling the Black Beast, the dreaded creature in BlazBlue universe. His moniker IS 'The Grim Reaper'. Naoto's Astral Finish is also similar to his, which makes sense since it's been heavily implied that Naoto is Ragna and Jin's uncle.
To explain the "stands" (Persona 4 exclusively, since I know nothing about anything else, even if I know little about Persona 4.), the Persona 4 characters (which are almost all high school teens), have the ability to summon what is pretty much a manifestation of the user's inner self and thoughts although in a way that's different to shadows, which are enemies in many Persona games. Blazblue Cross Tag, it's got many neat little dialogue from characters that never even meet each other since they're in completely franchises, so I think it'll be nice for you both to react to their unique intro lines, RWBY's lines with many of the Persona 4 characters are pretty fun!
At least ArcSys remembered that Ruby is a weapon nerd....unlike RT who it feels like they'll just "mention" in a way once per season and it's like.....really?
Such an underrated gemstone of a 2D Fighting Game. I still remember the trailer where Arc System Works revealed a Season 2 Pass, where nine new characters were gonna be added to the roster. And in that same trailer characters like Neo Politan from RWBY, Yumi from Senran Kagura and Akatsuki and Blitztank from Akatsuki Blitzkrieg were gonna be added. I eagerly waited for the five remaining characters to be added, only for roughly 3 years to go by and there hasn't been a new update, nor any reveal trailers for any of the upcoming characters. Such a shame.... Such a shame.
Really, it just didn’t come any? Any reason why? Or were we just kept in the Dark? Hm, well, regardless, i think it could still be possible for it to continue, after all, I thought that Skullgirls were done for the longest time awhile back, but now, not too long ago, apparently it has started to get updates again, So who knows, maybe Cross Tag Battle still have a chance, I guess we’ll see, if we ever get any official news.
@@johanstenfelt1206 The big difference is that Skullgirls is more of a deep passion project worked on by, for the most part, a single group with its own characters, even after suffering multiple controversies. BBCTB has more than four franchises as part of it. A big part of why there's just no updates could be that there just wasn't really any point in continuing. Rooster Teeth hasn't been performing the best as of late so there was probably no point in introducing more RWBY characters, likely not enough people still play the game to justify adding more DLC and more characters from any of the other series either. Or I dunno, could be licensing issues.
The RWBY characters were all original sprites, which is pressumably why they were only 5 characters. I always was hoping to see Team JNPR make the cut, and the lead developer wanted to include Penny and the guy from the Black Trailer (IDK if he was name dropped where you guys are in the series yet) but that never panned out I guess... Yang and Blake had to wait until post release to be DLC, which angered me at the time but at least they were free... And ended up be my 2 mains Also 1 fun fact is that Penny's fighting style according to Monty was actually based on Nu 13 from this game... which just makes me wish she got in the game so much more
So as you saw this is a crossover game but here's the rundown: Blazblue cross tag is a 2v2 fighter containing characters from a bunch of different properties, all of them being anime. The first set of characters you saw were from Blazblue. That game, despite its looks not really changing throughout the years, has the best mechanics of a competitive fighting game of the featured games here in my opinion. The set of characters that were all summoning humanoid beings were from Persona. I'm sure you guys have heard a lot about that series already, so all I'll say is the game actually gave characters from different games different mechanics that matched their original games. In this case, summoning your persona in battle gives them an edge in specific circumstances, but other characters can strike those personas to do extra damage. Neat little detail there. Third is Under Night in Birth. It's a really fun game, but interestingly Cross Tag was the games first use of English dub and for some the game's first attempt at putting together some continuity. You know RWBY already, but the game has 3 games featured that only have one or 2 characters. Those being Arcana Heart(Aino), Senran Kagura(Yumi), and Akatsuki Blitzkamf(Akatsuki and Blitztank). This game is more fun to watch in a professional setting than to play imo but I do still like the game.
I never jumped onto a video so fast. This is my favorite fighting game of all time. It may not be as popular or well liked. But I loved this game so much and the friend group I made. Glad you saw something from this game. Thanks for making my day.
Really hope you check out Blazblue Central Fiction at some point. A lot of the BB characters unfortunately got skipped over being put into Cross Tag Battle, and the ones that did have some absolutely fantastic Astral Finishes.
I hope they're one day able to react to all the character special interactions. Some are pretty cool and funny and since they're reacting to RWBY right now, I'm sure they'd enjoy hearing them interact with the other game series characters!
Yuusssss. BlazBlue ya'll. Such a fantastic anime fighting game and I can never get enough playing this series. Ragna (a grim reaper), Jin (Ragna's little brother), Noel, Rachel (a vampire) along with the RWBY gang are all my favorite characters. I was really excited seeing the RBWY gang involved with this game and I knew you two would get a kick out of seeing them too
Fun fact: - The reason a lot of people were hype for this game was because of RWBY. Given that every non-RWBY series reuses the sprites from their actual games, the RWBY characters were made from scratch. - When the RWBY characters are doing their Astral Finishes, the Volume 1 theme song plays. - Each RWBY character also has their own theme songs (straight from the show). - All of the RWBY moves are all call-backs to the show. - In the launch roster, only Ruby and Weiss were avalable while Blake and Yang were DLC. The reason for that was because the developers were getting the game ready for EVO. Then controversy regarding the decision happend, and Blake and Yang were later made Free DLC. Neo was later added as paid DLC as part of the 2.0 Update.
My favorite has to be yu's arstral Its just so cool and also that line" thousands die but tenths of thousands are born their place meet your maker!" Its just awesome
Most of The japanese school kids with the big summons similar to jojo stands are Persona RPG series characters brought in from their fighting game spin off.
My favorite is Makoto’s, the one where the girl hits her opponent to the moon, creating a fist shaped crater, then the moon cracks apart. Also past Blazblue games have featured RWBY themed palette swaps for the characters, namely Bullet as Yang and Taokaka as Blake.
BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is a crossover of sprite based fighting games Arc Systems developed, Blazblue, Arc Systems 2nd favorite child right behind Guilty Gear and specifically made back when Arc Sys lost the rights to most of GG's important characters, Persona 4 Arena, a fighting game spin-off of the dungeon crawling & social sim jrpg Persona 4, and Under Night In-Birth, another fighting game that Arc Sys helped with the console release of, but also added in RWBY simply because Roosterteeth found out the creator was a fan and they reached out to him. So while the other 3 series reused assets from previous games, the RWBY character are the only ones at launch to have completely new sprites.
Blazblue (you were correct in pronouncing it as “BLAZE-BLUE”) is an anime fighting game that is from the same company that made Guilty Gear. This one called Blazblue Cross Tag Battle pretty much is a crossover fighting game that includes 7 different franchises. It was only initially 4 being Blazblue itself, Persona 4 Arena, Under Night In-Birth, and of course your favorite, RWBY. The last 3 are pretty much added DLC from Arcana Heart, Senran Kagura, and Akatsuki Blitzkampf. Since Blazblue is in the title, that’s why most of the characters consist of that cast, but the reason for the other franchises, is because Arcsys (developers of Blazblue and Guilty Gear) were also responsible for creating Persona 4 Arena and Under Night (usually called UNIEL because of the latest version of it) And RWBY only got in because the creator of Blazblue liked RWBY and Rooster Teeth pretty much contacted them to see if they could get their characters into the game. The last 3 franchises though were never associated with Arcsys, and are pretty much guest characters. It was pretty much a very hyped game for people that were familiar with any of the franchises and anime fighting fans in general. I don’t think it had a long competitive life, but I still find it a very fun game to play through. Now you have been introduced to 4 other fighting franchises and more suggestions for Fight Night Fridays. I say only 4 more because this is pretty much RWBY’s first and only crossover they’ve been in, and Senran Kagura not really being a fighting game franchise, but a like Dynasty Warriors game where you mow down hordes of enemies with flashy attacks. Also, Senran Kagura is catered HEAVILY towards degenerate males as it has very explicit content not for young children. Weekly Tekken Lore suggestion: m.th-cam.com/video/bA49WgGOKp4/w-d-xo.html
This comment has spoilers for the Weiss vs Mitsuru Death Battle 7:56 Ok so in game this isn’t a reference but the person in the video choosing to use Weiss for Mitsuru’s Astral Finish may be a reference to the Weiss vs Mitsuru Death Battle, where Weiss was killed in pretty much the same way.
DAMN BLAZBLUE CROSS TAG???? I'm glad you guys got to watch this! Maybe you can play a Persona game sometime!!!! You guys should also react to the supers/finishers in their separate games! BlazBlue Central Fiction Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Undernight In-Birth EXE:Late CLR
Keep in mind that this is a crossover from four different franchises. Plus some bonuses. I was going to do a rundown of every single character but the story behind each one is so long and complex my device was slowing down to a crawl just from typing.
It would take all day - and at least a half-dozen videos - to explain BlazBlue, and you already seem to know about RWBY, so I'll limit myself to giving more details regarding the Persona users. One thing I should probably note here is that Persona uses the theories put forth by Carl Jung, with regards to the "Collective Unconscious," Shadows being the untamed aspects of a human that can become a Persona when tamed by the ego, and so on to craft the supernatural element of this series of games. Existing in parallel to the observable universe, this Collective Unconscious is what gives birth to the many mythologies and pantheons held by societies over the millennia (which, Jung asserted, explains why so many different cultures had similar stories, heroes, and personalities of their deities). In this realm, various beings exist and constantly put humanity to the test, many opposing humanity but a select few aiding them by finding people like Yu Narukami and helping them awaken to their Personas. Granted that even this isn't enough to fully explain what's going on in the Persona-verse, but it's enough for this. Also, going in order of appearance in the compilation for ease. - Yu Narukami (the kid with grey hair) is the main protagonist of Persona 4. As with the rest of the Persona characters, his moves are pulled from Persona 4 Arena Ultimax (which, you can probably imagine, was also developed by Arc System Works). His Astral Finish is his awakening to the fullest manifestation of his Persona, Izanagi-no-Okami - the creator-god of Shinto. In the final battle, he is driven to the brink of despair but uses the bonds he made with his friends and various other people he met in Inaba to awaken and cast Myriad Truths on the final boss (as with most Persona games, this is more of a "cutscene" victory). While electricity is associated with Izanagi, he is not defined by it because he holds the Power of the Wild Card, which is what allows him access to a huge library of Personas. Few humans have this power, so they're limited to one Persona if they ever awaken theirs. - Yosuke Hanamura has the Wind element and uses daggers, so while it's not a move directly from the original P4 they did give him a great showcase of his skills as a speedy fighter. - Chie Satonaka is the only other one with a direct pull from the original game - sometimes, if you hit an enemy with an element they're weak to, a teammate can follow it up with a special attack that knocks over another enemy (or enemies, in Kanji's and Naoto's cases), but Chie's follow-up, the Galactic Punt, functions basically like an Eject spell from classic RPGs in that it completely removes the enemy from the field. - Yukiko Amagi's motif is cherry blossoms, a signature aspect of her Persona Konohana Sakuya, so her Astral Finish is a veritable maelstrom of cherry blossom petals (IIRC she racks up the highest hit combo with her Astral Finish alone). She's also my favorite character to use in P4AU because I like zoners. - Kanji Tatsumi (the punk) is by far the strongest of the Investigation Team (and second in the Persona series only to Akihiko), which makes the punch that he does with his Persona Take-Mikazuchi even more painful. He also uses the Electric element. - Teddie (the mascot) is... complicated... while his associated element is Ice, his playstyle accentuates his playful and random nature. His Persona, Kintoki-Douji, has a missile sticking out of its backside to symbolize the tomahawk that the person his Persona is named after used as his signature weapon - hence the enemy being sealed inside and launched into the air to explode. - Naoto Shirogane is associated with Light, Dark, and Almighty (non-elemental) magic, but her signature weapon is her pistol (which she is legally allowed to carry as a licensed investigator), so her playstyle is designed around both, and thus her Astral Finish simulates a sniper shot - something that would always be lethal compared to a pistol, which might not always hit the intended target. - Mitsuru Kirijo, the leader of the SEES team in Persona 3, returns in Persona 4 Arena as the leader of the Shadow Operatives to work alongside the Investigation Team to find an errant Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon that disappeared in the Inaba region. Her cold, elegant demeanor is perfectly encapsulated by her Persona, Penthesilea, and her Ice element. As for the Finish, when something is frozen cold enough, it will shatter by any impact... - Akihiko Sanada is a part-time member of the Shadow Operatives and traveling boxing fanatic (hence his strength outclassing even Kanji's). His Persona is Caesar, which explains why it is associated with the globe, as the Roman Empire was considered the strongest power in the world for ages, and even now is regarded as the foremost power of the ancient world. - Aigis is an Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon - an android built by the Kirijo Group and given a heart... of sorts... in order to awaken to a Persona and fight Shadows during their investigations into the Dark Hour (see Persona 3 for more). She awakens to the power of the Wild Card during The Answer, but sadly nothing comes of it in either that or Ultimax... Still, her sheer firepower and other capabilities are more than enough to take on any but the most powerful of Shadows. - If Teddie was difficult to describe, then Elizabeth is even moreso... To do that, I'd have to go into the concept of the Velvet Room and who she works for, and that would take going into the storylines of Persona 1, 2 Eternal Punishment, and 2 Innocent Sin... and neither of us have that kind of time. Suffice to say, her role is that of one who "rules over power," and thus has access to every Persona that the main character awakens to or obtains during the course of Persona 3 (sadly, they didn't include her "sister" Margaret, who is Yu's "ruler over power.") As such, each card that appears in the beginning of her Astral Finish is a different Persona (they're represented by the tarot card system), and she even summons Thantos, the ultimate expression of the Death arcana (and unlike other Personas, shows up VERY early on in P3 for story reasons... in a very disturbing yet awesome cutscene). The skill she uses is the 9999 Megidolaon, which she uses in the hidden fight you can have with her in P3 after a certain number of turns has passed. - Labrys is spoilers. Please play Persona 4 Arena Ultimax... - Tohru Adachi is also spoilers, but you can probably guess who (and what) he is based just on his Astral Finish. As an aside, the 'blobs' in his Finish are the forms of the Shadows in their default form, and they only change shape when confronted by a Persona-user. Seriously, even if you have to play it in your free time, I *HIGHLY* recommend playing Persona 4 Golden (thankfully all of the recent Persona games are on Steam now, with Persona 3 Portable showing up a bit later). It gives SO MUCH CONTEXT to not only Ultimax but the characters from that game... Even if you never react to the game for your channel, it's still worth playing.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames You're welcome! As you can probably tell, Persona is a series I'm passionate about, so I love talking to others about it. 😁
it would have been better if you reacted to the Astral Finishers from a proper Blazblue game (preferably Blazblue Centralfiction) since Blazblue Cross Tag Battle is a crossover spin-off which doesn't include many characters from each of the franchises it represents. But yeah, Blazblue is my favorite fighting game franchise (not one of my favorites, THE favorite) and I really love the characters, music, plot and lore (even though they may very well be the most complicated and convoluted plots and lores next to Fate series) and my favorite character is Hazama (the green haired guy who dresses like Michael Jackson and summons a gigantic snake). Another thing: if you ever decide to react to the Astral Finishes from Blazblue Centralfiction, I have to warn you that Relius Clover and Amane Nishiki have unique Astrals against EVERY. SINGLE. CHARACTER.
Thanks for the heads up. We will eventually check out some more Blazblue games but not sure when. Wanted to finally see some of this game and the rwby tie in helped anchor us into this game and style more since we’re currently watching the show on our other channel 🙂
its a shame the sound suddenly fell away starting from Ruby's Astral. I do love this game, so many fighting game franshises all in one game and some of the interactions are alot of fun, its a shame the game never really took off. about RWBY games, aside from this one there is RWBY Grim Eclipse, a hack and slash game, and the recent RWBY Arrowfell, a sidescroller wich is based after the events of season 6.(even has new original music from casey dee Williams.)
the guy u didnt know if he turned into it or not, thats people from a game called persona where they can call there "true self" to fight for them its a good series.can be a lil dark n dramatic too.also love blazblue and its story
So to clarify the reason why rwby was added to this game is because the lead designer of rwby is a fan of blazblue and the leader of blazblue is a fan of rwby
@Definitely not definitive. You guys don't have to but I thought you could react to one of my favorite games "Donkey Kong Country Returns" and see the Speedrun since it goes by quickly and the music won the music of the year.
I would like to see you do all BlazBlue Openings next. I would also like to see you do all BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle: Character Introduction Trailers at some point too.
So Blitztank was actually once a human, but was turned into a blitztank by the terrorist orginization Gesellschaft, which was run mostly by the nazis and their Japanese allies, but is also run by the Knights Templar (who worship an evil god called Perfecti), in WW2. While blitztanks were mass produced, this blitztank is the only one that is actually functional when Akatsuki Blitzkampf takes place (about 50 years after WW2) While the other blitztanks has no personality or will of their own, that blitztank has actually kind of regained consciousness. Blitztanks are able to run because of powerful objects called the perfection motors.
When you said Platinum is sweet (the magical girl at 3:20) I can here all the BlazBlue fan's forehead vain pulse. Platinum's main personality is something a lot of people don't find endearing lol. I do think you need context for some of these. Like my fav are Mika and Celica. But Celica is a hard one. She basically just wants to help everyone so her's, she's trying to heal her opponent but she stumbles over her words and accidentally tells her robot to attack which is why she's confused when the body disappears. Only series I didn't like in this game was RWBY. Idk they used the same background for most of them and besides Yang the animations where not as dynamic. Like Ruby is supposed to be flying through the air but they centered her in the middle of the screen, so it looks like she's just floating, and it ruins the whole set up. I get what's happening, She's hooking the opponent on the scythe and using the gun to carry them in the air, but the way it's animated doesn't look like that. In RWBY's case, the character interactions are much more interesting than the finishers. Like Ruby fangirling over everyone's weapon.
iirc in japanese her line is a pun on "pain pain go away" but the robot misunderstood "go/fly away" and made the opponent go away instead. It turns something innocent into a brutal execution
So there are 2 RWBY games. One of them didn't get a lot of love which is called RWBY Grimm Eclipse and the other one is sort of new called RWBY Arrowfell
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames thanks. By the way, the characters from the Persona 4 rosters fight with their ability to summon their other self called Persona.
Wait, this is the first time you do BlazBlue, right? And you’re starting with Cross Tag Battle? The Crossover Game? While sure, it is considered as a BlazBlue Game overall and it is the latest one to come out, but i wouldn’t say it’s strictly a BlazBlue Game though, since it has other Series within it and it’s non-Canon too. If you want to start-off BlazBlue with Astral Finishes, then I think you should do all of the Astral Finishes for BlazBlue: Central Fiction, because it was latest Game to come out for the Main Story and is way more purely BlazBlue than Cross Tag Battle is, since like i said it’s a Crossover Game.
Honestly, I feel like the persona series would be interesting for you guys to play since 3 and 4 are being released to modern consoles, and five being available on all platforms now.
Who else would like them to see Super Robot Wars-FinalAttacks for any game in that franchise? It's a crazy one and would become a multi part video but i would love to see something like a SRW 30 reaction, it's pure crazy anime stuff for basically any game in the franchise.
I think it's time to branch out into other games of the "souls-like" genre! * Remnant: From the Ashes * can be summed up to Dark Souls but with guns, and I haven't even paid attention to its story at all, although still, the gameplay is plenty nice, other than the large amounts of damage you can take when you're not being careful... * Hollow Knight * is a great 2D indie souls-like, and while the art can be cute, the lore can get a bit dark (both metaphorically and literally), but it can also be beautiful in many ways, from a god of dreams seeking revenge through an affliction of the mind, to the great Wyrm-king that created the mighty kingdom of Hallownest. And yes, every character or opponent in this game relates to a bug somehow, even if it doesn't look like the real thing. * Code Vein * is an anime game, anime dark souls to be exact, I could never really take it seriously, but I did finish it once, you play in a world of revenants, humans who turned into basically superpowered vampires thanks to the BOR Parasite and I'm blanking on so many other important tidbits other than something so bad happened that where we are is the final city for a society of Revenants, but it's also pretty damn wrecked and is covered with the lost (Revenants who haven't had any blood and thus transform into something more monstrous). * Blasphemous * is a 2D souls-like that can get a bit graphic even with all its pixel art, the main appeal of it being that it's more based on Christian stuff, all about religion, HEAVILY about Christianity and it will not hold back on grotesque imagery, I wish I knew more about its story, because I know it's actually a pretty good game with a decent story!
I think you guys might get a kick out of tekken tag tournament 2 tag throws. (Sorry not trying to make a tongue twister) but I think you guys might like it.
This game was the most crossover game to witness as my college roommate was hype for this game and let me play it since I saw RWBY characters in the game. It was fun but not my cup of tea since he played it on Switch at the time 😅 Also I feel like this might be a bit of lore with Platinum and Mai character being unisex characters with them being part male with a female body. So I might be wrong or right, so don’t quote me please.
Platinum is actually three souls sharing the same body - Trinity (girl), Luna (girl), and Sena (boy). The body itself was first Trinity's so physically Platinum is a girl. Trinity is basically a dormant personality nowadays so it's between Luna or Sena when either is controlling the body to determine whether Platinum identifies as a girl or boy at any given time. As for Mai, she was originally a boy before an incident with a magic grimoire turned him into a girl. It also supercharged her sense of taste so it's so sensitive that she can only eat the "cooking" of Noel (who, in-universe is a terrible chef since she has no sense of taste) without experiencing sensory overload.
The games in BBTAG are:
- BlazBlue
- Persona 4
- Under Night In-Birth
- RWBY
- Akatsuki Blitzkampf (the last two from the video)
- Arcana Heart (the pink girl with the naked angel)
- Senran Kagura (the skating kimono Ice girl)
Thanks for giving us the games list 😀

As someone who's been a long time fan of the Blazblue series it makes so happy to see you guys react to this.
Ruby fan girling over ragnas sword and the Susano'o unit is pretty funny
@@LeFisheboi Absolutely, and it'll make it even better for RWBY fans since they've seen it before, like Ken and Beth did!
@@QtAsteri I don't like the undertone that Terumi is gonna let ruby in the armor considering what that does to you, but nonetheless pretty funny 7/10
At least ArcSys remembered that Ruby is a weapon nerd....unlike RT who it feels like they'll just "mention" in a way once per season and it's like.....really?
That would be fun to see the dialogue. Thanks for the recommendation. Maybe when we see more Persona we will check it out so we get more references 🙂
Legend says that there are still some BBTAG players waiting for an update for the game.
4:52 for reference susano'o just broke the entire planet here, why is the funny snake man the literal God of destruction
😯
Hm, well, regardless, i think it could still be possible for it to continue,
after all, I thought that Skullgirls were done for the longest time awhile back, but now, not too long ago, apparently it has started to get updates again,
So who knows, maybe Cross Tag Battle still have a chance, I guess we’ll see, if we ever get any official news.
@@doctorsnakeeater1997 hm, fair point.
this game is especially crazy since we have character from balzbue, birth undernigth, RBWY, Persona and more in the mix
And ended up be my 2 mains
Also 1 fun fact is that Penny's fighting style according to Monty was actually based on Nu 13 from this game... which just makes me wish she got in the game so much more
You guys should definitely check out the astral finishes for actual BlazBlue when you can, that being BlazBlue central fiction, great video
Yeah cause there’s a lot of bangers like Izanamis, Bullets and the different variants of Relius and Amanes astrals
We will check it out at some point 🙂
So as you saw this is a crossover game but here's the rundown:
Blazblue cross tag is a 2v2 fighter containing characters from a bunch of different properties, all of them being anime.
Thanks for giving us a breakdown of the games in the so crossover 😀
My favorite underrated fighting game next to SFxT. Love both!
😎🤟 crossover games are fun
I never jumped onto a video so fast. This is my favorite fighting game of all time. It may not be as popular or well liked. But I loved this game so much and the friend group I made. Glad you saw something from this game. Thanks for making my day.
We’re glad to have made your day and finally checked this series out 😀🥳🙂
You guys gotta react to the team interactions
They’re so good
😎👍😀
I was really excited seeing the RBWY gang involved with this game and I knew you two would get a kick out of seeing them too
Yup. Seeing them in a fighting game was a lot of fun and a good way to help introduce us to this new fighting game series 🙂
THANK YOU FOR THIS REACTION, my vision has come to fruition
🥳🤗 our pleasure
Yall got me watchin stuff i never watched before and im all for it
Nice! Happy to hear your watching some new stuff along with us 🙂😀
Fun fact:
- The reason a lot of people were hype for this game was because of RWBY.
You guys should check out the special dialogue between the characters it’s really good
😎👍🙂
My favorite has to be yu's arstral Its just so cool and also that line" thousands die but tenths of thousands are born their place meet your maker!" Its just awesome
Most of The japanese school kids with the big summons similar to jojo stands are Persona RPG series characters brought in from their fighting game spin off.
😎👍🙂 Thanks!
I was more glad to see the characters from the persona. Every time I see them, pleasant nostalgia rolls over
☺️
Long have I waited for this video in particular 😂
I've been waiting for this one 🔥
😎🤟
I might be biased, but I really liked Neo’s and everything shatters when she finishes them off
I would be very interested to see yall react to the story of Persona 4 Golden honestly. It's so very interesting
Will add it to our request list. Imagine a lot more persons requests will be coming next week 😇
OMG YES I been waiting for some of these! I love blazblue!
You guys should react to all of the call of duty zombies perk jingles and try to guess what they do In the game
Since Blazblue is in the title, that’s why most of the characters consist of that cast, but the reason for the other franchises, is because Arcsys (developers of Blazblue and Guilty Gear) were also responsible for creating Persona 4 Arena and Under Night (usually called UNIEL because of the latest version of it)
And RWBY only got in because the creator of Blazblue liked RWBY and Rooster Teeth pretty much contacted them to see if they could get their characters into the game.
Weekly Tekken Lore suggestion:

This comment has spoilers for the Weiss vs Mitsuru Death Battle
7:56 Ok so in game this isn’t a reference but the person in the video choosing to use Weiss for Mitsuru’s Astral Finish may be a reference to the Weiss vs Mitsuru Death Battle, where Weiss was killed in pretty much the same way.
Bro, your comment is the only thing spoiling that. You could've just made a vague reference to it tbh.

DAMN BLAZBLUE CROSS TAG????
I'm glad you guys got to watch this! Maybe you can play a Persona game sometime!!!!
You guys should also react to the supers/finishers in their separate games!
BlazBlue Central Fiction
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax
Undernight In-Birth EXE:Late CLR
Thanks for giving us a wealth of info on the persona characters on this game 😀 a series we are looking to check out some more 🙂

it would have been better if you reacted to the Astral Finishers from a proper Blazblue game (preferably Blazblue Centralfiction) since Blazblue Cross Tag Battle is a crossover spin-off which doesn't include many characters from each of the franchises it represents.

Had been requested here and there and finally made it to a fight night Friday 🥳
So Blitztank was actually once a human, but was turned into a blitztank by the terrorist orginization Gesellschaft, which was run mostly by the nazis and their Japanese allies,
but is also run by the Knights Templar (who worship an evil god called Perfecti), in WW2.
I actually got this game for my birthday.
So there are 2 RWBY games. One of them didn't get a lot of love which is called RWBY Grimm Eclipse and the other one is sort of new called RWBY Arrowfell
i think we can agree Weiss was the best one! ❄🥰

Yall have got to react to the special interactions there are great
I think you should check the Fate Series NOBLE PHANTASM's, they are pretty cool and they also have ties into mythology.
Honestly, I feel like the persona series would be interesting for you guys to play since 3 and 4 are being released to modern consoles, and five being available on all platforms now.
Who else would like them to see Super Robot Wars-FinalAttacks for any game in that franchise?
It's a crazy one and would become a multi part video but i would love to see something like a SRW 30 reaction, it's pure crazy anime stuff for basically any game in the franchise.
th-cam.com/video/v8UnMI2JfcQ/w-d-xo.html&si=EnSIkaIECMiOmarE for SRW 30 plus DLC, it's great...but long so more than one part
You should check out the interactions of the game.
Thanks for recommending some new games in the “souls like” genre 😀

I think you guys might get a kick out of tekken tag tournament 2 tag throws. (Sorry not trying to make a tongue twister) but I think you guys might like it.
Yup. That is a game we plan on checking out for sure at some point 🙂
This game was the most crossover game to witness as my college roommate was hype for this game and let me play it since I saw RWBY characters in the game. It was fun but not my cup of tea since he played it on Switch at the time 😅
Also I feel like this might be a bit of lore with Platinum and Mai character being unisex characters with them being part male with a female body.
@@gladiatrixathena2756 oh interesting, I was thinking about it being simply lore giving from my roommate telling me to give me more hype in the game
