This is Cloud's feeling.. Cloud's grieving. Can't not cry over this no matter how many times I listen it. His sadness just seems real like he's real. I can't believe I get so emotionally attached to a game character after understanding his story.

@@mrplaystationguyr5 Square hurt me when they promised a FF 7 remake and released a game called FFVII Remake and only gave us about 10% of Final Fantasy 7 and charged us full price after waiting nearly 20 decades.
The song gets me Zack, Cloud, and Aerith's vibe. This piano version kinda makes me feel lonely, cold, and empty like Sephiroth. Hats off to Uematsu.

After the Turks takes Aerith around chapter 13, if you walk around the Sector 5 Slums, this song plays and i dunno how Square Enix managed it, I immediately associated this track with the distinctly absence of her. Its like the title, it feels hollow. No dialogue necessary, not exposition, no subtext through visual imagery, just same place you always walked around and it just feels sad.
This is super accurate, though that was an instrumental that plays in that section if I remember correctly
Somehow the feeling of the Sector 5 slums transforms completely at that point. The same track played earlier too, when first visiting the area, but on the second time around the feeling is definitely more 'hollow'.

I love this song so much, it feels like it’s exactly what Cloud feels when he thinks about Aerith and Zack
His guilt over their deaths, how he “failed them” and wishes for them to come back once more and smile. That if they do he promises to never let them down again

Something I love about your playing, is the wide use of dynamics and how you let the silence speak even louder than the notes. A very syncopated song and the amount of breathing you allowed to happen in the tempo made it hit all the harder, and bring the emotions to bear even more than the original ever could. As I've said on a previous video of yours, a very VERY talented player and a very competent musician. You take the true meaning to syncopation and dynamic range in all the songs you play, and you truly understand what tugs at those heart strings. Keep up with the fabulous music!!!

It’s likely. Aerith’s death had the BIGGEST impact on him and you saw how heartbroken and depressed he was in Advent Children. With that in mind, It’s more likely about Clouds feelings towards Aerith’s death.
