I actually didn't expect that this video get this viral while I actually paid promotion for Those Who Fight which got much less views. Sorry for the misleading title. I recorded ages ago to post for the launch of the FF7 Remake. Didn't know there's a new arrangement on that for piano. Apologize for those who came to look for REMAKE version. I also love that she is that way compared to how she works mechanically. I feel like it's pretty often that a female character who specializes in hand-to-hand combat ends up with a fiery personality and is louder and less patient, so it's interesting to me that Tifa is sort of the opposite.
the difference between tifa's theme and aerith's theme is so evident, tifa's theme provides a sense of calmness with a hint of sadness but suddenly gives you comfort and says everything's alright. meanwhile aerith's theme gives you sadness, loss of hope, and loneliness. the music for these two are so incredible and just shows how different their lives were...

@Hermann Thomas she was bratty and a very confident girl before her father died. Then she just lost all that confidence. Funny to think Aerith is the complete opposite, early on she lost her mother and all yet she's very outgoing, playful, gentle and wise all at once. You really can't judge a book by its cover.

I love Tifa so much for her character, her heart. She looks after everyone, always fights even if the odds are against her, and had a warm, open heart to everyone she meets. A lot of fans tend over-look that, and think she is only popular for her appearance alone and beauty (which, is understandable), but beauty only goes so far. It's her wonderful outlook in life and fighting spirit that makes her such a great character, and another side to a coin entwined in Cloud's life, that he needed her to come to gripes with, and both conquer their past together, to move forward and save the people they care about.
Man this song really hits hard. It felt like Tifa is behind Cloud always staring at his back feeling safe protected but somehow conflicted with her feelings even though she knows she liked Cloud, but instead she felt very distant to him and just forever staring at his back and slowly Cloud is going farther from her reach.

In Advent Children, Cloud at first could not forgive himself. He thought he needed to be forgiven by Aerith, when in fact it is only him who could not forgive himself. In my opinion he did love Aerith, alot and as we know not all love is transparent and it's not just a black and white situation just that in that timeline he loved Aerith so much that's why it was difficult for him to move on. And in the end he started to let it go, he's forgiven himself. That's why Aerith said "you're alright now, aren't you?" as she and zack were going back to the lifestream. He finally accepted that Aerith is gone. That's why he could move forward, and probably the time when he can clearly again see Tifa as a love interest. He simply couldn't move on that's why it was difficult for him to see the people near and dear to him. Or at least that's how I saw the movie as.
Know what this song feels like? It's like going back to your hometown only to find out the things you've loved have started to fade away. The tree where you and the kids gather to play, the starry skies you can no longer see, that favorite spot at the rooftop where you used to take your alone time when you needed it and even the people themselves whom you're unsure if you'll ever meet again. You've grown, -you've grown apart- the things in the past which built you who you are today are changing. And now some very dear things you've treasured burned to the ground, all the hard work, all the love, care and effort you put just to make your dreams come true. The smiles you've made and shared with everyone along the way all gone. They're all in the past now. Once again, you grow, you look up, you smile and think "I'll treasure these memories, for as long as I still have these memories we are all still together". Still, you take comfort in the fact that there is still hope, then as you gain another hint of strength you press forward.
I love Tifa’s theme... it reminds me of finally coming home after a long day and being comforted by a mothers warm embrace - like you know she’ll always be there for you even if you’ve had it rough. Aerith theme on the other had reminds me of sadness- like a faint whisp of happiness that was lost, the sense of losing someone important but cherishing the memories you have . I just love the contrast between the two.

yeah! final fantasy music pays a lot of attention to character when it comes to the OST, so I'm not surprised if that was the intention. it plays whenever they have a meaningful interaction too, which I think is really beautiful.
Even if I am a very emotional person, I found my way to control my feelings. But Tifas theme, how many times I don't listen to it, there is a very fin wall in emotions which is close enough to break so I can start crying. Every singletime I need to really try hard to not cry on her theme because it's so beautiful.

I really love tifa so much, as much I'm a new player of this game. My family can't afford the game when I was a child, I just watch people play Final Fantasy. I always peaked interested of tifa her character herself, she is very special even this theme really makes me tear up. Tifa is a girl who is very brave, kind, independent and determined person like a gryffindor and very loyal, sweet and supportive person to cloud like a hufflepuff. Even cloud got interest to another girl, she is still supportive of him💕💕
I just need to see how you can make their relationship unfold (Tifa and Cloud), this Tifa has already gotten so much exposure and doesnt just seem like walking fanservice. You see how gentle she is even though she can snap a spine. The way she talks with kids, or helps the people in town, or how she loves and cherishes all the people in her life. Even how she tells the shinra employee that she doesnt want anyone to die, she wants things to change but she never wanted a war because of it. She wants a peaceful, humble life to grow old in a small town, knowing everyone and falling in love. Shes so comforting to be around even when shes upset theres this feeling its always over someone elses sake. Never putting herself first, she just wants to help anyway she can. I want to see more of how gentle and sweet she can be, and how shes able to change cloud from a person not that close with his own emotions into his true self. Them when hes forgotten everything after the life stream fallout, under the highwind just having a moment of passion during the end of the world, I need it man
to think tifa was originally supposed to be the side chick in the game but she is actually one of the most favourite and well written characters of all time (in my opinion). heck, her theme is also freakin good....

This is beautiful and gives me a bittersweet feeling, almost to the point where I feel like I might start crying, but in a good way I guess. I really needed this. Thank you. Man this soundtrack is spectacular.
I feel like tifa is the most critical character in the game, not just the fact that it presents the past and current events involving cloud but she's also generally endearing and exciting. I would go as far as to say she's my favorite final fantasy character, and yeah her appearance didn't hurt with my decision making
one year later im performing tifas theme,main theme,hollow,one our way,one winged angel,atherins theme,battle theme,prelude,and the original game over sound on piano thank you for bringing me into the world of FF as i didnt know what it was then i played the game i fell in love with the characters and the music and i decided to hold a solo performance of 1:30 hour to play all of the final fantasy songs i have learned over the course of one year
I still replay the game every few years on my old PSX, and for all people make fun of the graphics, it is a very good game... and the graphics fit in their own weird way. Maybe the nostalgia goggles talking... I know there are some janky cutscenes when they didn't go full-blown "smooth" CG but oh well.

This is the most incredible song that ever written for a game. Uematsu is a genious and %50 increased the sales of the game. We are very lucky since we can hear these masterpieces while playing a game with an incredible story.
I randomly thought of this theme late at night and the second I heard it, tears started flowing and I don't really know why. Maybe because it's such a beautiful theme, maybe it's the memories that are linked to this music... Maybe it's just general nostalgia of my childhood, when everything was so much more simple and new and exciting. It's amazing how much emotion some sounds in a particular order can cause... it's such a wonderful feeling... smiling but at the same time crying... devastating yet calming, heartbreaking but at the same time healing. This melts my heart. Thank you for the beautiful music! Tifa has always been my favorite Final Fantasy character. They really did meet and exceed my expectations, specially with Tifa, in FF7 Remake. I think Tifa is the perfect metaphor for "The One that Got Way." Cloud evidently chose to pursue Aerith, but I think Tifa was perfect for him. BFFS for life, though!

90% of Tifa's story is all about meeeting Cloud and her journey with him. The only woman who's always there for him. Meanwhile listening to Aerith's theme, I can only of her moment with Zack. Zack has been forgotten by people. But I know Aerith always kept him in her heart. Cloud belongs to Tifa. It's balanced that way.
I know this a while ago but its a beautiful performance. I wrote my brass arrangement around the same time. I just couldn't get myself to be satisfied with it till a few weeks ago. Its a gorgeous melody and I wanted to do it the same justice you did.

This theme is not for Tifa only. I think its for both Cloud and Tifa. The song emits a reuniting vibe in every part.
Interesting you thought that, I read on Reddit Tifa’s theme is actually a duet with male and female parts. It’s a great analysis breaking down the chords and parts. Google “tifa theme duet” and it should be one of the first results.

yeah! final fantasy music pays a lot of attention to character when it comes to the OST, so I'm not surprised if that was the intention. it plays whenever they have a meaningful interaction too, which I think is really beautiful.

Even if I am a very emotional person, I found my way to control my feelings. But Tifas theme, how many times I don't listen to it, there is a very fin wall in emotions which is close enough to break so I can start crying. Every singletime I need to really try hard to not cry on her theme because it's so beautiful.

I really love tifa so much, as much I'm a new player of this game. My family can't afford the game when I was a child, I just watch people play Final Fantasy. I always peaked interested of tifa her character herself, she is very special even this theme really makes me tear up. Tifa is a girl who is very brave, kind, independent and determined person like a gryffindor and very loyal, sweet and supportive person to cloud like a hufflepuff. Even cloud got interest to another girl, she is still supportive of him💕💕

I just need to see how you can make their relationship unfold (Tifa and Cloud), this Tifa has already gotten so much exposure and doesnt just seem like walking fanservice. You see how gentle she is even though she can snap a spine. The way she talks with kids, or helps the people in town, or how she loves and cherishes all the people in her life. Even how she tells the shinra employee that she doesnt want anyone to die, she wants things to change but she never wanted a war because of it. She wants a peaceful, humble life to grow old in a small town, knowing everyone and falling in love. Shes so comforting to be around even when shes upset theres this feeling its always over someone elses sake. Never putting herself first, she just wants to help anyway she can. I want to see more of how gentle and sweet she can be, and how shes able to change cloud from a person not that close with his own emotions into his true self. Them when hes forgotten everything after the life stream fallout, under the highwind just having a moment of passion during the end of the world, I need it man

I feel like tifa is the most critical character in the game, not just the fact that it presents the past and current events involving cloud but she's also generally endearing and exciting. then i played the game
i fell in love with the characters and the music
and i decided to hold a solo performance of 1:30 hour to play all of the final fantasy songs i have learned over the course of one year
When I first heard this, I was already in love. I've never played the game but this... This is just amazing.
I still replay the game every few years on my old PSX, and for all people make fun of the graphics, it is a very good game... and the graphics fit in their own weird way. Maybe the nostalgia goggles talking... I know there are some janky cutscenes when they didn't go full-blown "smooth" CG but oh well.
The music from FF VII will live on for as long as we have recorded music. It's just as good as any classical masterpieces.

I randomly thought of this theme late at night and the second I heard it, tears started flowing and I don't really know why. Maybe because it's such a beautiful theme, maybe it's the memories that are linked to this music... Maybe it's just general nostalgia of my childhood, when everything was so much more simple and new and exciting. It's amazing how much emotion some sounds in a particular order can cause... it's such a wonderful feeling... smiling but at the same time crying... devastating yet calming, heartbreaking but at the same time healing. I think Tifa is the perfect metaphor for "The One that Got Way." Cloud evidently chose to pursue Aerith, but I think Tifa was perfect for him. BFFS for life, though!

90% of Tifa's story is all about meeeting Cloud and her journey with him. The only woman who's always there for him. Meanwhile listening to Aerith's theme, I can only of her moment with Zack. Zack has been forgotten by people. But I know Aerith always kept him in her heart. Cloud belongs to Tifa. It's balanced that way.
