When I watched her rush in with no helmet, my only thought was "She's going to get coughed on from the patient. Blood is going to scatter all over her face." I wasn't expecting the random glove issue.
I remember we were "learning" about it in school ( I was around 8th grade when it was going in America and stuff), as were basically taught that it was a death sentence to get it.
I remember that. It was this whole thing for awhile. I think there was a teacher from my state visiting the one with the outbreak they wouldn't let come home. Not infected. Not even a chance of infection. There was just this whole panic around it.
This reminds me of when I got COVID pneumonia and was in the hospital for 9 days. I never saw a doctor in person. Only over video chat and Interacted with only nurses and as little as possible. I remember this was during lock down. They where wearing hazmat like suits. They had those yellow disposable gowns over there scrubs. The kind used in surgery. They had face shields and masks and it was like something out of a movie I swear.
Exactly and why are they making him move himself when in reality I feel like a nurse should be geared up and ready to avoid the percentage survivability to drop in a potential life threatening situation for the patient just because a nurse wasn’t there when needed😕
It always boggles my mind how well the deathly sick people can speak on these shows. It seems like they are only sick when it's ideal for the episode lol.
No one is immune to Ebola it's capable of making even the youngest fittest and healthiest people critically ill. People who are infected with Ebola but who survive the Ebola virus are thought to have a protective immunity to the specific strain of Ebola that made them sick for up to 10 years, but it's unclear if their immunity lasts longer than 10 years and they can still become critically ill with a different strain of Ebola to the strain that they recovered from. In fact, since it's not the Ebola virus itself that kills Ebola patients because Ebola hijacks the immune system and tricks the patient's own immune system into attacking everything in the body except for the bones it's actually the Ebola patients own immune system that ends up killing them, not the Ebola virus itself so ironically the stronger an Ebola patient's immune system is the more likely that they are to die from Ebola.
ugh I really wish in medical dramas that screenwriters put more emphasis for the nurses who are consistently compassion for their patients and always standing by and for these patients during rough times the world is facing and has faced in the past and not just portraying them in scrubs in the background when in reality 1-2 nurses are usually always are at their sides and knowing lot more than we give them credit for❤❤
