Head: 1/16 oz freestyle head
Paint: Disco gold ProTec powder paint
Hook: Size #4 sickle
Eyes: 5mm Gold 3d eyes
Thread: White uni thread 6/0
Body: Gold crystal chenille
Tail: Cream marabou, holographic gold flashabou

Grate video I try to watch every one of your videos. I will tie some for my box . I tie one is gold /chartreuse with a number 6. 1/32 ouch Richard Gina fishing machine said it was the best he ever used in 40 years at night I need to give them a try also !!

Do you think a size 6 hook is small enough for small crappie (6-10in)? Also do you prefer the sickle hook or j hook style. I’m looking at the temorah ones on Amazon. I’m considering the normal j hook since it has a smaller gap but I’d like to know your opinion.
I catch small crappie on size 6 hooks all the time. Their mouths are definitely large enough. I prefer sickle hooks. I seem to have a better hook-up rate with sickles.
