Tying the Gold Nugget Jig For Crappie and Panfish
Hi, which one powder you used? I checked the website and there is dipping powder with instructions to method that you used. Does those other ones work with similar heating method?
Yes I used their clear powder paint with it. I mixed a 1:1 ratio.
Thank you very much. I have tied a few as of now, and yes they do work. I will say this is not an easy jig to tie, least not for me. So far I have tied 6 and and I’m finally kinda getting the flow of it. Thanks for sharing, I appreciate all your videos.
end product is amazing
Bold for building right in the carpet floor 😂 but props for keeping it clean ! Good work and tight lines!
Do you know if this paint ever expires? Like does it one day just stop glowing even when you try to charge it again?
No idea. It still glows as bright as the day I got it.
Alright, thanks anyway ^^
Link for the UV resin please, great jig!!
Looks awesome great job 👍
$10 in uv epoxy
Haha right?
@MustacheJigs beautiful tho
Can you achieve this jig without the eyes
You can, it just doesn’t look as real.
Where did you get your Chanel and Zonkers from?
Flyfishfood.com
Nice work I like tying on 1/80th tube jig heads. Yellow calf tail with pink head! Slays the crappies!!!
I bet this isn’t even a straight rip from Cheech at FlyFishFood……
I put in the description that it’s an altered version of the baby fat minnow. I buy 90% of my materials from the flyfishfood shop and I chat with Cheech, Lance, and the crew every time I’m in there. Those guys are great.
I’ve been playing with using permanent marker on the leather of rabbit zonkers. In clear water the hide looks kinda silver white until it gets waterlogged. I’ve been putting dots or stripes on it to make it look more natural. That jig looks great!
Nice tie! Tight lines🕷️🐛🐜!!!!!
I am going to make a few of these. I can't wait to use them next year. I will make them this winter.
I wonder if I could do this effect on spinner blades ?
Try it! I’d love to know if that works.
That is awesome!! Looks great. It looks. Just like minnow. Great job.
what vise do you have?

@@MustacheJigs which one, they have several thanks

Nice looking jig👍
Thank you so much for your video series. You started with the basics yet were so thorough. Perfect for someone who literally knew nothing about jig tying.

Where u been bro missing these style flies man. Trout killers for sure.
The peacock bass will love that thing. FISH ON !
We were talking about using something other than earthworms for the kids to catch bluegill. Someone suggested using a jig under a bobber or bubble... Using a cane pole or spinning rod. We're talking grade school kids (Cub Scouts) or teens working on the Fishing Merit badge. Question... do you have a video on how you fish your jigs? Your thoughts please.
I don’t have a video like that, but I can make one. I typically fish it under a bobber, jigging it occasionally to keep it moving.
So, does it rely on your phone to store the data or does it have a spot where you can insert a memory card? I hope it doesn't rely on the phone's storage.
It has an internal memory that can store quite a bit of video. When your phone is connected to the device, you can download the footage.

I am new to fly tying. Where can you get those rubber legs and what is the diameter of them. Also what exactly are they called.
That is a killer peacock bass color. FISH ON !
Very nicely done and a great tutorial!
Nice jig. I do think a couple strands of red crystal flash would have really set it off.
Like the paint job on the jig head ❤
Good colors. That jig will work. Thanks for sharing.
👌 nice.
Nice jig
Nice jig thanks for the video
That color shift is crazy. It’s like an eye that stays in the center of the head at every angle.
Nice jig. Thanks for sharing.
This would be a Sacalait killer
Thanks for showing how you use the rabbit fur. I have some and was looking for a way to apply it to my flies.
You can also wrap it (Palmer) around the shaft for a collar. Rabbit in the water has amazing movement!
Will try this pattern in the Fall/Winter. Thanks
Stellar
I started using really light heads, 1/32 and 1/64 and tying in fly tying twister tails…. Talk about a deadly slow fall
I'm giving this a shot, but I just can't get the weight to stay on.. it always falls off. I'll keep trying. I have 100 hooks and 100 weights!
It works better with a thick wire hook.
@@MustacheJigs I just made about 5, using 3/0 and #7 weights.. there's a little getting used to, but it seems to be working! I do plan on a drop super glu just to make sure they stay connected..
Very cool!
Pretty jig ❤
