I love the idea of implementing a wishlist to stop you from impulse buying. It's not about one day I'll own ALL of these things. It's about making a conscious list in your brain and thinking 'Do I really want this M&S trench coat? Or am I just rushing into something because it's cheaper than the Sezane Clyde when deep down I know which I'll like more?'
Yes to the Nobody’s Child try-on video, please! I’ve been eyeing Christy Dawn for years as well and now I’m doing a low buy year, so I saved up for a couple of months and splurged on the Gina patchwork dress. It was crazy expensive, definitely the most expensive item in my wardrobe, but it kind of made me want to throw everything else out 🥲 It really is dreamy!
Okay I own two pairs of Flabelus shoes. The burgundy pair you showed, and also the same model in black. I ABSOLUTELY FREAKING LOVE THIS SHOE. I cannot hype it up enough. Here is what you should know: 1. They are velvet, which is surprisingly a really durable fabric. I have gotten a ton of use out of my shoes and the fabric pretty much looks as good as the day I bought them. 2. I’ve worn these shoes for long periods of time (10-16 mile days of walking in europe) and find VERY comfortable. They do not have “arch support”, however from what I understand a flat shoe can be better for your feet so they develop the proper muscles needed for walking. 3. They can get stinky if you wear without socks. Highly recommend wearing no shows, cute socks, or tights/stockings. However, to clean them it’s super easy. I put in a delicates bag on hand wash cycle with cold water and gentle detergent with no other items. Then I let air dry and make sure to reshape them before letting them dry. 4. I honestly found these to be wonderful shoes through all the seasons. You can literally style them for any season. 5. So easy to wear with causal outfits OR a fancy night out. Especially perfect looking chic and walking on cobblestone with ease. These are legit my favorite shoes and I will die on that hill. There are a lot of brands that make Venetian slippers/friulanes (Cayumas, Vibi Venizia, Capulette, Drogheria crivellini)
Ohh the green dress is playing on my mind too, I have been considering getting a short wool dress or skirt for a while so this came at the perfect time... 😍
Flabelus shoes are amazing! They have a shop in London and I'd recommend taking the trip to try on in person, as I've found the sizing slightly off compared to my usual UK 7, and online returns take a while since they're shipped from Spain. Also yeah they're super comfortable!
I finally bought the plum linen dress from nobody’s child after seeing it on you all summer. I also got the Elsa midi dress in brown gingham. With the sale and 20% discount on at the moment it came out a good price.
I’m so relieved that the Sezane autumn release wasn’t really for me, aside from the laurel green jumpers (not sure which one will go for)and the leather Marlys jacket. The green dress would definitely be fabulous for you!
Totally like the fall look of pink city prints and ordered Cedar Jaal Laura dress, it is like autumn vibes totally. Thank you for the wishlist, sezane fall collection looks really pretty!
I don’t have anything else on my wishlist for the rest of this year. I just got a second hand leather suede blazer jacket in a beautiful brown and also I got the Leontine jumper from sezane. No more buys for myself for the remainder of this year.
If you buy from Christy Dawn, start with a dress. By far their best pieces and will really give you a sense of the quality compared to all other brands. I don’t have any other dress made like theirs. Their coats are also amazing.
So many beautiful choices! Think I will finally pressing checkout on the Claude bag in the chocolate croc print! Had the tab open on my phone all summer and just waiting for Autumn! Would also love a Nobody’s Child video! Also, can I ask what your lip colour in this video is? It is stunning 🧡
I actually bought that Dôen plaid dress from net-a-porter last week! They mislabelled it as the Harlow, which is style name of top version of the dress, but the dress is actually called the Edlynne dress! It's absolutely beautiful in person. If you're on the fence and love the color and style, I'd say go for it. :)
@@katie_louise oh no!! Net-a-porter updates their stock often when people return! I stalked the dress' page intil I found my size.🤣 so worth checking every so often. :)
Hi Katie, yes I would love to see a Nobody's Child review! I've bought a vest and black linen pants from them before and love them but buying from Australia they are more expensive - so would appreciate your take and opinion on their pieces 😊❤️
Hi Katie, I also love Doen and have been a customer since 2019. The plaid hardy top was on my fall wishlist and last week I went to get it at the LA store. It looks much better on the website than in person. I have a hardy top from a few years ago and the pintucks look straighter and overall quality better. It might have been a defective piece, but one of the Henri tops I also tried on had an uneven hem. Fortunately they had one that was perfect and I ended up leaving with a white Henri. Just my two cents.
I really like the idea of the wish list. This might help me as well, I am prone to impulse buying. A brand I am loving at the moment is the Australian brand AJE. 😍🤩
Hi Katie. Thanks for the video. I am also trying to resist buying those burgundy boots from Sézane. Let’s see what happens on Sunday. 😅 Also I’d be very interested in a video focusing on Nobody’s child - I don’t know very well the brand but their clothes look very nice.
You need a friend in the US to buy and ship Doen and Christy Dawn your way. 😊 I love Doen so much, the quality is amazing and they hold their value well, like Sezane they are easy to resell. I have one dress from Christy Dawn, cute but very thin. Reformation is my style, I love everything they carry but I hate their sizing. I always have to size up which doesn’t feel good lol
Hi Katie, I only have my eyes on 2 pieces that will be released next Sunday, the new black and white Max shirt and the Émile in dark red. Otherwise I think I have everything I need for this Fall season 😊 I was able to shop a Lucas jumper and a Willa jacket during the archives. So happy ❤
Thanks for sharing Damson Madder! I'm eyeing the Dakota Midi dress in blue check, I think it would be wonderful for fall. Do you find it fits TTS? The size chart online seems to run a bit small.
Hi Katie, what amount of $$ per month you think would be reasonable to spend on clothes/shoes for an average income? I’d very much appreciate your opinion on this. Thank you!! 🌹Elena.
That gifted Damson Madder dress looks amazing on you - I absolutely need one! Could I ask what you think of the sizing, do you think the dresses run large or small?
Oh I feel your pain!!! Every time I see the Fall releases from The Peruvian Connection, I die a little inside. They are gorgeous, so beautifully made, amazing company values, but the price point is so high. I shop for them secondhand 🥲 but at the mercy of what others list online.
@@katie_louise thanks! I love it on you. Good to know bc I just bought one from reformation… looks about the same price, but I’ll see how I like it because I’ve been eyeing that brand. I just discovered your channel (from the states)… keep up the good content!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I absolutely hate Doen. Bought a sweater and skirt last year, returned the sweater, but should have returned both. So thin and flimsy, I rarely wore the skirt even though it’s pretty. Going to try to use it more this fall/winter but I will never buy from them again honestly. Too much money for what it is
@@katie_louise Not sure if they have a store in the UK, but if you get a chance and are still interested in trying their pieces, I say it’s always worth it to determine for yourself! And of course this is only my experience with two items, but in the interest of saving money and making sure I’m happy/confident in my purchases, I know that Doen should just remain on my moodboards and not in my shopping cart 😂
I love looking at Doen but the Hardy top is $450 Australian dollars. To give some perspective that’s the same amount I spend on 6 months of internet access. 😅 It might have to be a brand where I buy something for my birthday or Christmas. Reformation is the same, I bought a linen dress to wear to a wedding and yes it’s something I can wear multiple times but $485 is a lot of money 💰 I will watch these brands with much interest over the next couple of years because the economic situation in many countries is not great and many people will cut down on spending.
@@katie_louiseyes, although I feel like it could definitely help me move away from overconsumption to only purchasing a few items a year! I’m with you on the “ballerina-farmcore” combination, I’d been calling it country-pixiecore which is the same idea 😀
Lovely wishlist Katie. I just ordered a pair of Axel boots in cream and I so hope that they are the right size :) I do have a question about your list, if you don't mind. Do you actually collage it together and print it or just tag it somehow online?
The sezane othello is on my autumn wishlist! I love the aesthetic of doen, but it's so expensive 🥲 In love with their sebastiane skirt! 😍 The pointelle knit you are wearing is so lovely! Where is it from if you don't mind me asking?
You mentioned you might be a winter in the colour analysis. I would disagree seeing all those warm browns and warm red shades looking good on you, especially your really warm hair colour. Potentially, you might be a bright spring. The browns though make anyone but an autumn look like a peasant. So not sure about either.
Yeah maybe! I do think the camera distorts my skin and hair and makes it appear warmer than it really is though. I’m paler and less warm in real life I think. Honestly, I’ve been typed (unofficially) as every season at this point 😅 which is why I just kinda wear the colours I like and use my own intuition on what suits me!

I have the Doen Tahlia in floral bloom and it’s worth every penny. If you love silk and ditsy florals, this dress will give you joy forever
