It’s so crazy, bc I watch asmr to sleep. I found one of your vids just scrolling, then I saw this one. My A/C recently went out in my car & I’ve tried stop leak Freon and that just slowed the leak, but then it eventually blew hot again :/

Daniel, how did you acquire your mechanical skills and at what age? I like the step by step details of the repair.
My dad taught me a couple things when I was a kid growing up. After that, I learned everything on my own by doing research, watching videos, and just straight up trying it. It’s a “learn from experience” sort of thing lol

i am not 100% on what you did in this video but it certainly seems like you are suggesting we release R134A into the air... I believe there is a $30,000 fine for this in the united states. there is a reason there are proper disposal methods and there is a certification required to do such tasks but again I didn't figure out if you actually released gas from the system
You are correct, however in my case my system was already empty. I had a slow leak which is what I was fixing in the video, but during the time of filming the system was already completely empty. My compressor wouldn’t even kick on because there was no pressure (refrigerant) present in the system. If you do have refrigerant in your system, though, you should absolutely take your vehicle somewhere to have it properly evacuated before performing this fix! Thanks for watching! 😄👍

Stuff to do with AC systems, take to a mechanic. The gasses of AC can kill you if breathed in. Since you have to take it to a professional to have the system properly evacuated, have the job done there by mechanics where warranty is also compulsory for all parts they supply and fit. Don’t encourage non mechanics to do this kind of stuff. And also with filing the AC, there is a sticker on your bonnet telling you the capacity so you don’t need to weigh the cans etc.
