I really enjoyed this, even though most of this tech talk sounded like, "First, you want to locate the centaur, and kindly ask him or her to relinquish the fan. I would probably download msi afterburner. That program will show you any sings of hardware related problems. It tracks temps as well as usage so you can pinpoint which hardware is acting up.

Also, the screws on the CPU bracket mount should have a system to prevent over-tightening. All of the AM4 builds ive had have been that way so I'd assume its the same for AM5s

I know you said it but yea that is WAY too much paste 😭 If anything it would interfere with thermal conductivity lmao
If I had the other bracket for the AM5 chip I’d agree, but with the upgraded metal secure bracket it’s just fine. The cooler applies plenty of pressure to thin out the paste between the chip and the bottom of the cooler. I’ve been checking my temps as well, and I’ve had no problems! 👍
