Hi Mark, I have some of your smashed metal and candy red , I need to add decals on the clearcoat ,two or more , then remove any peel , can you recommend a grit for this ( its only a motorcycle tank and side covers ) and then clearcoat the decals with another two coats . Cheers for your videos

All guns have different fan patterns . In a lot of the videos on my channel I’m using either walcom slim Kombat . Walcom carbonio 360 light . The carbonio definitely has a bigger fan than the slim Kombat .
All candies fade to some degree doesn’t matter what brand it is . DNA paints candies are UV tested and proven to exceed 5 + years without signs of fade
I always liked Candy Apple Red over a silver base. Gold base to me looks to yellowy orange. Its always great to watch you apply your craft.

Can you use black as a base before the candy paint?
Sure . Won’t look anything like this though . Will look black with a slight red hue

How long after you put the red candy coat down did you apply the clear ?
15mins between last coat of candy and clear

no , due to candy being a dye . a touch up with a brush will be very dark
