What type of plane is the ITA one I saw on the ramp? I enjoyed watching LCY departures/arrivals in my time in London last year. Pretty cool that the E-jets and Airbus A220 with Swiss can fly there. I wonder if there could ever exist a transatlantic flight using that airport as the A220's and new Embraer E2's have extended range and are ETOPS certified. Flying from Halifax, Canada would probably be the most likely possibility with a safe range and Porter flies Embraer E2's and Air Canada flies A220's. Maybe a pipe dream but you never know!
You might need to give me a timestamp for the ITA aircraft. I'm having a hard time finding it when just skimming through the video and I don't remember seeing one when I filmed it, so I'm not sure exactly where to look. And I guess never say never on the A220 or E2 doing a transatlantic flight to LCY. BA used to have the A318 that did that.
@@sla31 You can see it around 9:41, blue livery. I had a look at ITA's fleet, most likely an A220. Just saw the LuxAir Q400 at the start of the video too, pretty cool to see that. It just occurred to me that JetBlue also bought A220's from Bombardier when it was the C-series, and one of their main hubs is Boston. A220 service from Boston to LCY also a possibility.
@@thecaynuck ah yes, now I see it. I was looking at AMS as I honestly didn't remember seeing anything at LCY other than BA and that Luxair Q400. Yeah, that's one of their A220-100's.
Very complex/strict aircraft Departure and Arrival procedures at London City Airport to avoid all sorts of conflicts in incredibly congested skies surrounding the Capital, especially Heathrow traffic over Central London and of course the skyscrapers within very close proximity to the field, all from a relatively short runway. Excellent video from here in my home Country.
I always enjoy a good ERJ flight. I wish there were more operators of the larger 190/195 in the US. I rarely ever get to fly on JetBlue in generally and Breeze basically stopped operating in my part of the country. Thanks for watching my friend!
I think I'm right in saying that London City airport is one of the few airports in the world where the ground and tower controllers are remote. They use a network of high Def cameras ( and radar, obviously) to see what's going on.
Without conducting a Google search, I don't recall the last crash or other incident involving an Embraer. They seem to be well-constructed and maintained. I flew on one a long time ago. Solid ride.
Their earlier planes had some issues with icing, especially their EMB-120 turboprop. Even their current jets struggle in icing conditions but not enough to be disastrous. I like their planes though!
I can think of a couple ERJ crashes. I remember an Aeromexico ERJ-190 one fairly recently which resulted in a complete hull loss, but I think that was a weather related incident. Overall I'd say you're right though. I think the ERJ series has a pretty good safety record overall.
WOWOWOWOWOW!!!! Super-Fantabulous views taking off and coming in!! Yes, you're on your next Amazing Race around the world to claim your Million Dollar Prize. That was one hell of a takeoff there. I was just watching Son of Godzilla and then, I switched over to your video. This is the one where Godzilla fights giant praying mantises and then Spiga, the Giant Spider. That last mantis was no match for the spider. He had that mantis all wrapped up in cellophant. Note how that movie came out decades before any of the Arachnophobia films. If you REALLY want to get your spider fix, see The Mist (2007) where they're all trapped in the supermarket and they encounter monster spiders from another dimension. Anyhow, another super-fantastic video on your part.
@@sla31 I very much look forward to see your accounts of your next Amazing Race. Remember to ready each clue very carefully, Drink The Ooze, and respect any Sand Worms you may encounter.
There are no jet bridges at LCY due to the terminal being so close to the taxiway/runway. There isn't room. And BA prohibits the use of electronics on the ramp and they will yell at you if you do haha.
Wow that was a quick rotation, lovely !
It sure was. Flying these ERJ-190SR's in and out of LCY was a blast! I'm glad I was able to share it with everyone. Thanks for watching!

Man those Embraers take off like a rocket.
They definitely do. So fun to fly on! Thanks for watching!
Good shots at both airports! Like the KLM fuselage and landing gear at AMS!👍👍

When I planned this trip I was determined to fit LCY into it. It did not disappoint! Thanks for watching my friend!
AT Begining of Climb , Engine had a SLITE WHINE , Later good Turbo Fan Sound❤ Going .
Damn that took off fast 😅
Yeah it did. It was quite the ride haha. I felt like we were shot off an aircraft carrier!
Nive video as always. Love these E-190 flights out of L CY. Take off was impressive on the short runway. E-190 is a great plane

Flying into Amterdam , Holland now 😊
Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina
I love British Airways❤❤❤😊😊😊
Thank you for inspiring me to make an aviation channel!
I'm always happy to have been an inspiration for others to create their own channels! Happy flying my friend!

I believe you are correct. I haven't heard of any other airports doing that since LCY did a few years ago.
😊 English Countryside is Real Nice . , Food Service on board is good . NICE VIDEO
Glad you enjoyed it my friend!
Old dock tracks can still be seen.

I enjoyed comfortable flight when I last flew on it. Thanks for the replies.
Thank you Bryce once for uploading the video once again 😊😅🎉🎉😂😂❤❤and what is your next flight video?
I'm glad you enjoyed it my friend. Today's flight is on an Air North 737-500 from Kelowna to Vancouver.
That had to be the shortest takeoff I think I’ve ever seen.
These ERJ-190SR's are specifically designed to operated out of LCY and they sure do pack a punch. They were crazy fun to fly on!

Crazy AOA on the initial climb!
These 190SR's are no slouch, for sure. Man they are fun to fly on!
CF34-10E7 takeoff power 😎
Love it!
Glad you enjoyed it my friend!
What happened to the boarding bridge? Also, let’s just say I’ve been binge watching your channel today. Well, kind of.

@@sla31 Strange! Why'd they not allow a harmless vid? That's sad!
Amazingly short taxi (for Amsterdam standards)
Having flown in and out of AMS a dozen times on this trip, I got tons of the LONG taxis to and from The Polderbaan runway haha.
Pilot must have flown off of aircraft carriers. He had the break on at full throttle and just let off the peddle.
Classic short field takeoff. This was an awesome flight to take in person and I'm glad I was able to share it with everyone else. Thanks of watching!
Great fly! Do you have pets at home?
We have two dogs. A 16-year-old Westie and a 9-year-old Cavapoo.
👍
