Maybe Jerry from Big Jet TV broadcasted your take off that day. Iberia uses their flagship very often for that short hop to London. Great airplane. Europe's best product in the sky ( France, Germany, Spain & GB ).
I was there a couple of times on this trip. I’d been to Madrid before this trip once but took a train in instead of a flight. So this was my first time using the airport. I hope to be back again in the future.
The approach in Madrid is always very interesting. Typically aircraft arrive with high speed/energy close to the ground and the flaps are lowered at the last moment.
I wish wide bodies could fly these short routes more often. I am aware fuel costs will be higher, and more flight attendants would need to be hired, but the higher amount of passengers should make up the costs of additional salaries and fuel costs. Even in Asia, narrow bodies are flying these 3 or 4 hour flights. Back in the day, widebodies were still popular for the route.
Well, there are a bunch of articles out right now that explain exactly why the increase in passengers count doesn't outweigh the additional costs of operating a wide body on a short route. American Airlines' CEO recently went into great detail as to why they are no longer going to operate any wide bodies domestically on short routes and it's pretty informative. Basically it boils down to there being too many first class seats and all of the airlines frequent flyers simply buy economy knowing they'll get upgraded. So, they don't really make any more money than with a 737 or A321 and have 4 times the cost.
Thanks my friend! You want to know a secret? The whole last 45 minutes of this video is audio from another A350 flight where I was seated in the same spot. Iberia plays copyright protected music during the entire approach and I can't use that on TH-cam or my video would be demonetized. It took me hours to splice the audio together so all of the hydraulic sounds, landing gear, and everything else lined up correctly. I then have to splice out the Japan Airlines announcements and splice back in the announcements made in Spanish. Most people don't realize the lengths I go to to ensure the best possible final video for everyone to enjoy. So, I always appreciate it when someone does! Thanks again my friend!
@@julianedelsonkatz7206 most Iberia flights operate like they're an ULCC. The only service offered on this flight was a "pay for what you want" service. And I almost never pay for anything on flights. 99% of the time, what I show for the "onboard service" section, is what you can get for free.
Because there are already a million other channels who do. When is tarted this channel I wanted it to be purely about the aviation and travel. Just you and the flight and nothing else to distract from that. I've had the same style of video since I uploaded my first video 9 years ago. There are plenty of great trip report channels. Jeb Brooks, iTripreport, QFS, Lunadog99, etc. That's their game and I have mine haha.
Your full flight videos just give me that feeling of flying. Thank you for actually full flight videos with high quality
Glad to hear that my friend. That means they are doing their job.
What a beautiful aircraft! She’s a beauty!
Couldn't agree with you more. Thing is absolutely gorgeous
Love the A350-900 nice airplane airliner every airline. Great passenger plane. Nice trip report London, England to Madrid, Spain.
Love the A350-900! Deltas is very pretty 😍
This route was served with Iberia's long and elegant a340 600. Glad Lufthansa still flies theme.
I wish Iberia still had them. I loved the A346 in their former livery.
Absolutely brilliant
Glad you enjoyed it my friend!
Beautiful plane and gorgeous plane watching at LHR.... wonderful, thank you! 🧑✈️✈️🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!
¡Que Bonito! Iberia aerolínea, sigue siendo el mejor
When I flew on the A350 (Delta) that view was exactly the same POV I had but on the other side. This is amazing.
Glad you enjoyed it my friend!
Windy landing, but pilot seemed to handle it well.
The A359 is a champ in the wind
Some great work bro 👍
Thanks my friend!
It is impressive how the windy approach resulted in a smooth landing. Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it my friend!
Nice shots at the airports! 👍👍

Nice we had you here in Madrid!

Very good!
Loving the A350-900, hope you will fly the -1000 soon.
Yeah me too haha.
very good thank you

Yeah and then it's a 500 mile taxi to the terminal haha.

I have this plane in Cabin Crew simulator Roblox but it’s the 1000 series
I didn’t realize Iberia ran their A359s on some inter European routes
This is the only one I could find it on. They also run this flight some days with their A330's, but most days it was the A350. Cool flight!
Wow what a quiet airplane! Is it as quiet as the 787?
Yeah, I'd say it's just as quite as the 787. I prefer flying A350's over 787's, but more for the window designs than anything else.
So much effort put into these videos we appreciate it🫶

Was there an onboard service on this one? I didn't see it at 42:54.
There was no onboard service. I forgot to rename the chapters after changing the times.
@@sla31 Well then, I know you film those on most of your flights!

21L17. Something (looks like smoke) quickly goes up and over the wing. Anyone have any idea what it is?
Either the timestamp is not correct or I'm not seeing what you're seeing haha. Might check that and then maybe I can shed some light on the situation.
