    As Portuguese, I feel so happy to see that people in Malacca are trying hard to preserve their identity and their language. Hope to visit the Portuguese Settlement there soon!

    My parents on both sides are from Melaka and both spoke Kristang. My grandma🙏🙏 spoke only kristang. However mom n her family immigrated to Singapore in the 1930s when she was a child. I treasure this language as it reminds me of home. I live in Switzerland today n make it a habit to visit Melaka every year when on holidays in Singapore❤️

    Fantastic lecture, may the Malaysian Kristang language be preserved and, as a pagan, I also hope all the native spiritual shamanic traditions of that country!

    Actually i consider Kristang as the Portuguese language of Malacca. A creole language could turn into a new language too.
