    it might use more fuel than a diesel but if you take into account the much higher price of diesel over petrol and diesels higher maintenance cost, i would have petrol anyday now.

    Rightly said....this is the most modernly designed (exterior especially) pathfinder ever ! the rear is so grande & matured ! btw the headlamp area is akin to armada/2022..thanks for posting !

      Great car, excellent engine and gearbox combination. 440Nm of torque is superb.

    These type of SUV's have more space than say a Prado or Landcruiser (unfortunately) so this factors into it when you have lanky teenagers and aren't doing decent off roading. The 2.7T towing is also welcome (others in class are 2T). Allow a decent trailer and campervan comfortably. As far a the petrol goes, if it's putting around town and not being driven high kilometres in a given year then it's not that bad. I test drove one, and with the cruise on 100 km/hr a got 7.4L/100kms. This was flat and unloaded so yes would creep up on a family holiday but this on par with my current diesel Euro 7 seater (which is smaller than this). Miss the low down torque but love the smooth linear V6 grunt. Bit like the old commodore and falcon days. Love the captains chairs but with any more than 2 kids, arguments will ensure so pity you can't opt for a bench in the Ti-L. Been a Landcruiser man in the past and have overlooked these large monocoque SUV's but I can see the benefits now (incl. Kluger). Might get a LC when the kids leave home as there's very little leg room in the back, cheers.

    Good looking it is! I wished they would open up sales on this one (with the "bigger brother" Terra) on the southeast asian marked. I guess if its made in Japan the chances are slim. As we know the Terra is Thai made.

    Moving from a Highlander to a Pathfinder as Highlanders are only available as hybrids now and I need to tow every now and again. Always prefer petrol over diesel.

    Given their similar pricing, how does it compare to any of the Everest V6 models?

    I think same thing, my husband n I were looking at the new pathfinder but we r hesitant cos it’s petrol n not diesel, I don’t understand why Nissan did this!

    Is it a direct injection engine? Just wondering if it will develop intake carbon build up over time.

    • @Drivecomau
      @Drivecomau  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Pathfinder's engine uses both direct and multi-point (port) injection, to help prevent the carbon issues of purely direct injection petrol engines.

    Are you sure that all models have a heads up display?

    The Nissan 3.5 V6 is getting on in age but that's not a criticism, perhaps better than a smaller turbo engine .

    Was expecting like $100k for this. Pretty good price for what you get.

    Sadly, I wouldn’t by the petrol without a hybrid, and diesel is increasingly not and option.

    3.5l Turbo is the best option balance of power smoothness and fuel economy. Hybrids and PHEV are too gutless once the battery is depleted. Personally I just with this they put this interior in the V8 Patrol that would be choice.

    • @Richard-sl8we
      @Richard-sl8we ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not a 3.5l turbo, normally aspirated. This car is 10 years behind the times. Nissan in Australia is on the downward spiral and has been for the last 10 years.
      Nissan only sold 188 new Pathfinders in 2022.
      There are so many better options in the Australian market; personally I'd choose a Kluger hybrid or a Palisade 2.2d.

    Petrols fine, unless your looking to tow a hefty caravan / trailer. Although I’d prefer a smaller turbocharged 6 cylinder. If this car was released a year ago I think it would sell well, but given it’s priced similar to the new Everest I know which I’d prefer
