As for the floors, yes, there are "good floors" and "bad floors", mostly concerning turns and floorwork, but there's no way it makes you more likely to get bruises when doing knee drops. Bad technique is what gets you bruises.
I don’t believe Abby on that, and it’s most likely because from watching that episode and the few afterwards….I don’t remember seeing any noticeable bruises on Maddie’s legs, and for her to have any bruises like that….she would’ve had to be doing plenty of knee drops. If it truly was the case that the floors at The Rage weren’t that good…..why didn’t they just go to another studio? When they first went to L.A. I get so annoyed about how Nia was treated. At that age, Mackenzie didn’t even have a good voice, (and she admits in interviews later in life that she didn’t even want to sing, she was being forced) Nia actually had a beautiful voice and wanted to sing. :(
The amount of inappropriate things Abby says to literal children is so disturbing, especially considering the power she has over them. Imagine the controversy that would have happened if the things she said were shown on tv. But considering its Abby Lee Miller, she most likely would have said "bla bla bla, its the producers" because this woman never takes responsibility.
i looked up the saying and it’s not sexual, but in the context of the dance it’s really bad. the saying is abt like riding a horse all day and then shoving it back in the stables without washing it or feeding it (saying she doesnt want kalani mistreated or used up then forgotten) the context of the dance being PLL which has a teen girl with a similar vibe to kalani being sexually abused by her teacher
i honestly feel like the producers made them compete in the junior division so they would still be up against the candy apples. and that’s why abby couldn’t really give a definitive answer when they asked why she doesn’t wanna compete in the teen division. could also just be that she doesn’t wanna lose and she knows they have a better shot in the junior division. who knows 🤷🏼♀️
This probably isn't true, the producers would have just made Cathy get a new team (again). From like season 2 onwards, the dancers on Cathy's team weren't actually her students, they were teams bought on for the show. The reason Abby didn't want to compete in the teen division is like because it's a lot harder to win, they mention it a lot in the show but maybe Abby didn't want to outright say it then because the mums would call her a coward or say she is degrading their children because they're not "good enough".
I don’t think the mums were actually bothered for kalani not being stood up for, I think they were bothered that Kira wasn’t giving the producers what they wanted which could result in them no longer targeting kalani for drama and severing their girls instead
The saying “rode hard and put away wet” is basically in reference to wearing out a horse and not taking care of it. It sounds like something pretty gross, but that’s the reference.
Damn I’m not like a huge fan of Kira but why were they all so quick to attack her for everything in this episode? Like Jill accusing her of having a bad relationship with Kalani because Kalani, a teenager, didn’t tell her mom all of the details of a conversation she wasn’t involved in? First time being early! I love your videos so much. They make my day whenever you post! Thank you so much for all you do. So excited to start watching! :D
I have this random theory. According to Jill on the because mom said so podcast, the producers would take their costumes after competitions. Could this make sense on why some costumes look repeated? I also wonder if their is production notes for season 5 nationals and “drama filled” episodes in season 6 & season 7.
Love your videos!! Please do a video on this: What happened to the guest kids? I'm talking kids like Fallon who were only there for 5 mins. Where did they come from? Why were they cut so soon?
It’s kind of sad that Kendall got her shining moment disregarded by Mackenzie maybe that’s what Jill kept talking about when she said that Kendall kept getting pushed to the side.
Yea it’s kinda sad, I can understand certain levels of Jill’s frustration. Kendall is like right in the middle.. she gets more opportunities than most of the others but also way less than the “typical favorites” dancers
Jill and Kendall are absolute snakes. No wonder Nia's craft improved and Kendall just continued to flatline, Holly had the guts to do what Jill WISHES she could've done with Kendall. She's a COWARD.

@@briannacharles4948 there’s 2 meanings. One referencing how horses if not cooled down properly after horse back riding, can become physically exhausted and pant, the second meaning is piggy backing off the first but saying how the exhaustion comes from sexual indulgences. @5:50 I had to rewind this part a couple of times, believing that I HAD to have heard it wrong. Then again, believing the CC was wrong as well. .... . .. What in the actual .... 😳?
It an old saying that's about tending horses. When a horse is run too hard and works up a sweat, you're supposed to do some cool down and grooming before putting them to stable, otherwise they can get sick and start looking unwell. Older people would use that phrase to mean someone who looked overworked and uncared for. But a child definitely wouldn't know the context and it does sound sexual if you don't know it's about horse care.
It's just so annoying now They fought about Kalani not dancing when she legit didn't care if she danced or not anyways. They mace input to be a big thing when kanai didn't even care Also so sad for nia, I'm glad all the girls love snd support her now, it's sad how the ,oms and producers and abby got the way of their friendships
I'm not sure if it was producer driven or if they were delusional at this point, but the constant "go argue with Abby when your child isn't in the group!" plots when neither the mom or kid really care either way just makes me roll my eyes entirely. Nothing about this show seems unscripted by season 3 or 4.
RIGHT like why do they even care? Wasn’t Kalani like a full fledged member of the group by this point? Abby loved her technique obviously she wasn’t going to never be in a group dance ever again lmao
Jojo just defended a child predator and claimed the victims were lying... she also vehemently defends Abby despite the fact she put a lot of children through emotional abuse. But sure, it's great that Jojo can jump around in glittery bows and sing pop songs to 4 year olds. In fact its actually terryfing that Jojo markets herself towards children and also defends child predators, kinda like how its ironic her brand is "anti bullying" yet she supports Abby.
@@lexiright5609 we don’t know their relationship behind the scenes or why she’s defending Abby. But my comment was the recognize that jojo was able to overcome a lot and it’s not something to discount.
@@franks_fiction We don't really need to know their relationship behind the scenes because Jojo publicly defended her, it doesn't matter why because I doubt Abby forced her too. please don't defend emotional abuse against children. After all the stuff Jojo has pulled she absolutely should have her "achievements" discounted. She defended a child predator and a child abuser, there's no coming back from that but I'm sure people will still try to take the blame off of her.
I'm not surprised that the moms kept fighting over the same issues... they couldn't resolve it, no matter how many times it came up, not until much later.
When Jill first came Jill would stand up and fight as soon as she was of probation but slowly she was like Melissa and didn’t say or stand up for anything
Because she was making fun of Jill saying Abby took things from Kendall, when Holly knows full well that Kendall has had lots of opportunities taken by Abby, including the season 2 nationals solo, the featured part in "The Bite" group dance, and apparently also Abby didn't even start to do anything for Kendalls music career until she saw that Holly was doing things for Nia's. It is a bit hypocritical for Holly to laugh about that when she always gets angry when Nia's opportunities are taken away. (Rightfully so of course, but she should be equally upset when it happens to another child too)
@@miriamstern6962I truly believe Holly showed her true colors from the end of S4 and onwards. She’s not the queen everyone says she is and I think it’s weird to idolize and pedestal-ize her so much. She has flaws like everyone else and they REALLY showed in the later seasons.
I definitely agree that Holly is not the "unproblematic queen" a lot of fans say she is, since no one is perfect and there were some things she said or did that were questionable or even downright wrong. However, you have to remember that by season 4 she had been on a toxic show for 3 or 4 years that encouraged people to fight and say awful things so I dont think it was her showing her "true colors" necessarily, but just the toxic environment getting to her. i'll never understand why holly and jess were so mad that jill and melissa pulled their girls from the music video. it's their right to decide what they want their kids to be a part of and if abby was their manager why wouldn't they try to stay on her good side?
You don’t understand how Hollywood is then. Plus Jess explained by it’s not always a good idea to do that. If you’re trying to become an upcoming star especially in the dance world (the dance world has limited jobs) and you get picked for something whether it’s a commercial, music video, to be in a show, a movie, etc….but then your parent or whoever is taking care of you decides to pull you out….that looks bad on you. By your parent not allowing you to take the job, any potential talent scouts or people within the business who would’ve wanted to hire you….won’t want to hire you because you’d be known as the one person who’s parent wouldn’t let them. However, I’m pretty sure that whole issue was set up by the producers to create more drama. That’s something that can have actual repercussions in Hollywood where it makes it harder to get a job….Melissa and Jill didn’t willingly take Maddie, Kenzie, and Kendall out Abby made them (probably forced by the producers) because she couldn’t stand not being in control of the video. If you actually watch that clip to….everything that I’m saying will make sense. It’s not just about “my child, my say in the matter” it’s more so about “this is my child’s career”
@@tiamarrow6366 that's still none of holly, jess, and kira's business. They weren't mad cause Melissa and Jill potentially messed up their kids' future careers, but because they sided with abby instead of them. They were just being petty.
"rode hard and put away wet" sounds awful, and it's absolutely in line with other awful things she's said-- but it's a horse metaphor. Like, you work the horse too hard, don't dry them properly or wash them at all, they get sick, etc. But again, bad metaphor to choose.

It so sickening because if you read all of her solo titles they all have some type of double meaning for a MINOR.
Yeah
Like when Kalani had a "Shades of Grey" solo during the peak of 50 Shades Of Grey
@@speedy-gonzalex4627 EXACTLY LIKE WHY??
Kinda off topic but Abby wanted to make another Brooke through kalani
Abby had a tendency to try to remake Brooke. Constantly forcing older guest dancers into contortion/acro solos when 1) acro isnt a style that's done by teens much at all 2) none of those dancers ever specialized in acro. Just showed how much she missed Brooke's talent@@elisvictoria163
2:34 so this is why Jess was so awful to Brynn the following the season…Abby basically laid the floor work for everyone to hate her before she even became a team member😭😭
It’s so weird and ironic that she wants the girls to look more mature, yet does not want to train teens. It’s just weird. (Not to mention she had a problem with Nia looking too mature in her mv).
No she doesn't want them to look mature
@ yes she did. When they were very little she wanted them to look mature. She made comments like how they are not sexy enough and would make them dance to way too mature concepts and themes in their dances.
Imagine calling MattyB a nobody TH-cam kid. I know he isn’t famous like he used to be but back then that boy was just as famous as the dance mom girls
Abby is just delulu
idk how holly stayed friends with Melissa and especially jill after s5. They hated for nia to have anything
I also wonder that as well? I think maybe Melissa may have apologized especially since Nia and Maddie were extremely close. However, I don’t understand with Jill. Hillbilly Jill was extremely disrespectful towards Holly and Nia from the very beginning.
@@N84Lyfeyea I guess it was an apology. Even in 2014, Melissa loved nia. On the Zieglers afterbuzz , they all rant about how much they loved nia growth this szn and how much they love her. Maddie and Kenzie admitted that they and the other ogs used to leave nia out not on purpose but the Zieglers and her had gotten really close. It’s kinda shocking how s5 went but Melissa and Holly families are extremely close now. I mean even Kurt and Nia brother. It’s so weird to be honest 😭
@@N84LyfeCalm down Karen, Holly was being just as antagonistic towards Jill in this episode as well, in other words, DOING WHAT SHE WAS PAID TO DO. They're all friends.
i still don't understand why people think this. when did melissa or jill ever blatantly get upset when nia got opportunities? i think they both put their own kids first and tried to get them ahead, but i remember them always congratulating nia on her music and achievements.
@@alex-ib6oy Jill being upset that Nias music video was out and saying how it overshadowed or when they went to Australia and Jill was like holly changed so much only because Nia was performing her song and nnt supporting the group dance she wasn’t invited to be apart of. Literally just watch s5 😂😂
As for the floors, yes, there are "good floors" and "bad floors", mostly concerning turns and floorwork, but there's no way it makes you more likely to get bruises when doing knee drops. Bad technique is what gets you bruises.
Are you saying Maddie had bad technique? Or just bad technique in her knee drops?
My knees were constantly bruised - it didn't matter the floor. I hated it so much because it was so embarrassing.
I don’t think they went to The Rage, I think it was another studio so unless it was the producers’ doing….they could’ve gone somewhere else.
@@N84Lyfeshe might’ve had bad technique with her knee drops, but if that were the case….with every dance she did that contained a knee drop….she would’ve have some form of a noticeable bruise, unless her body wasn’t extremely sensitive.
@@tiamarrow6366 but they said it was during this season Maddie had lots of knee drops during the season and prior seasons. I think she also talked about Maddie ignoring an injury she had but I can’t remember where
I get so annoyed about how Nia was treated. At that age, Mackenzie didn’t even have a good voice, (and she admits in interviews later in life that she didn’t even want to sing, she was being forced) Nia actually had a beautiful voice and wanted to sing. :(
Excited to see what really happened the week when Alexa comes to choreograph for Kalani!
The amount of inappropriate things Abby says to literal children is so disturbing, especially considering the power she has over them. Imagine the controversy that would have happened if the things she said were shown on tv.
But considering its Abby Lee Miller, she most likely would have said "bla bla bla, its the producers" because this woman never takes responsibility.
i looked up the saying and it’s not sexual, but in the context of the dance it’s really bad. the saying is abt like riding a horse all day and then shoving it back in the stables without washing it or feeding it (saying she doesnt want kalani mistreated or used up then forgotten)
the context of the dance being PLL which has a teen girl with a similar vibe to kalani being sexually abused by her teacher
Jill acts like Holly hasn’t been there since the very beginning and doesn’t have every right to be over Abby.
i honestly feel like the producers made them compete in the junior division so they would still be up against the candy apples. and that’s why abby couldn’t really give a definitive answer when they asked why she doesn’t wanna compete in the teen division. could also just be that she doesn’t wanna lose and she knows they have a better shot in the junior division. who knows 🤷🏼♀️
That honestly makes so much sense
I love how straight forward and informative your videos always are!
The saying “rode hard and put away wet” is basically in reference to wearing out a horse and not taking care of it. It sounds like something pretty gross, but that’s the reference.
The Nia and Holly's situation reminds me of the Chloe and Christi's situation in season 4
As a silent viewer on social media 98% of the time, you are seriously underrated and I always look forward to your videos! Thanks for all you do x💕💕
Abby was SO gross, how could she say those things to Kalani & Nia?!
Damn I’m not like a huge fan of Kira but why were they all so quick to attack her for everything in this episode? Like Jill accusing her of having a bad relationship with Kalani because Kalani, a teenager, didn’t tell her mom all of the details of a conversation she wasn’t involved in? Lmao maybe this is what the moms mean when they said they would fight over random nonsense just to get the producers off their backs
First time being early! I love your videos so much. They make my day whenever you post! Thank you so much for all you do. So excited to start watching! :D
Yes! I was so excited to see this pop up in my subscriptions. Thank you again for all your hard work!
I have this random theory. According to Jill on the because mom said so podcast, the producers would take their costumes after competitions. Could this make sense on why some costumes look repeated?
I also wonder if their is production notes for season 5 nationals and “drama filled” episodes in season 6 & season 7.
Yup….Kelly even admitted that the products would do that mainly to stir up drama.
Love your videos!!
Please do a video on this: What happened to the guest kids? I'm talking kids like Fallon who were only there for 5 mins. Where did they come from? Why were they cut so soon?
Ooo this is a great video idea! All of the guests Abby brought on were very talented and had excellent technique
Hey!! I've loved your vids for so long!!
It’s kind of sad that Kendall got her shining moment disregarded by Mackenzie maybe that’s what Jill kept talking about when she said that Kendall kept getting pushed to the side.
Yea it’s kinda sad, I can understand certain levels of Jill’s frustration. Kendall is like right in the middle.. she gets more opportunities than most of the others but also way less than the “typical favorites” dancers
yeah i agree :(
Jill did this all the time and I think Kenzie did this coz they were trying to undermine Nia and Holly the whole time
Jill and Kendall are absolute snakes. No wonder Nia's craft improved and Kendall just continued to flatline, Holly had the guts to do what Jill WISHES she could've done with Kendall. She's a COWARD.
I absolutely LOVE your channel. There are finally things that makes sense bc of your honest and overt commentary. Bless you for helping us understand this show. If you ever get notes about ANY other episodes PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do a commentary on it! Thank you soooooo much!!! You really are the best, especially since you put very little of your own opinions and allow us to make up our own opinions. That is a wonderful quality and a rare one. You are a TRUE reporter/journalist bc despite channels like FOX who skew everything, EVERYTHING, to fit their own political agendas/narratives. You are brilliant and deserve your own show! And I find myself praying you can find as much dirt as possible, even on the AUDC or any other shows but especially Dance Moms. The moms were annoyed that Kalani accepted the award with her team? Why? she is part of the team. How petty my god
Moms were annoyed Bc when Nia didn’t dance in the group Abby didn’t let her accept the award with the team
It was because earlier this season when Nia wasn’t in the group dance she wasn’t allowed to go up there with them.

@@briannacharles4948 there’s 2 meanings.
Me personally if I had to fight about the same thing every week while being paid I’d do it
It's just so annoying now They fought about Kalani not dancing when she legit didn't care if she danced or not anyways. They mace input to be a big thing when kanai didn't even care
Also so sad for nia, I'm glad all the girls love snd support her now, it's sad how the ,oms and producers and abby got the way of their friendships
I love your videos!

Abby is so disgusting talking to a minor like that too
The way she talked yo Kalani
lol doood Abby is a nightmare, but “rode hard and put away wet” comes from a saying about horses. It’s nothing untoward.
Whenever Abby insults jojo, it’s sweet karma to see where jojo is now
Jojo just defended a child predator and claimed the victims were lying... she also vehemently defends Abby despite the fact she put a lot of children through emotional abuse. But sure, it's great that Jojo can jump around in glittery bows and sing pop songs to 4 year olds.
In fact its actually terryfing that Jojo markets herself towards children and also defends child predators, kinda like how its ironic her brand is "anti bullying" yet she supports Abby.
@@lexiright5609 this comment was made before she claimed victims were lying.
@@franks_fiction I'm aware, but it wasn't made before Jojo defended Abbys actions/bullying.

2:02 the episode just started and Abby all ready full of herself
Good luck Harry. We love you and are here for you.
I'm not surprised that the moms kept fighting over the same issues... they couldn't resolve it, no matter how many times it came up, not until much later.
When Jill first came Jill would stand up and fight as soon as she was of probation but slowly she was like Melissa and didn’t say or stand up for anything
Anyone else love how sassy Holly is? 😂😂
i just wish she gave those hating ass moms the silent treatment
we need what happend when kelly and abby fight and the hylands leave forever S04E07
12:16 How? Just curious.
Ashlee was having family and marriage problems during the time
Mostly likely the influence of the producers, since that's how the siwas got on the show
Producers wouldn't let her. Abby and Jojo have admitted the producers made Jojo be part of the team and Abby hated it,
All "rode hard and hung up wet" means is "someone who's had a very hard life. When a horse is ridden hard and sweaty, it needs to be walked and cooled down before being stabled." Not everything is sexual, and it's kind of weird to just assume it is. A little creepy lol. It's not a sexual saying.
There’s literally 2 meanings one being sexual and one not..
“NoT EveRyThInG iS SexUaL” said by a complete naive moron who really thinks words can’t have two meanings. Yes that phrase does have a sexual meaning and I’m SURE Abby wasn’t talking about no damn horses. Kind of weird how DEFENSIVE you became over it if anything…. 🫤
Ever heard of a double entendre?
@@corimoon3360when I looked it up it said when your boss overworks you. There's also an urban dictionary version, but I don't think abby was using that definition. She could have, but we don't know for sure.
Can you do more vids about season 7?
i'll never understand why holly and jess were so mad that jill and melissa pulled their girls from the music video. it's their right to decide what they want their kids to be a part of and if abby was their manager why wouldn't they try to stay on her good side?
Holly got her karma for talking trash and lying about Christi, Chloe, Kelly and Paige.
Womp womp
6:07 not surprising
"rode hard and put away wet" sounds awful, and it's absolutely in line with other awful things she's said-- but it's a horse metaphor. Like, you work the horse too hard, don't dry them properly or wash them at all, they get sick, etc. But again, bad metaphor to choose.
Dance moms uncovered please?
I've never really watched this show but I've been catching bits of it lately and I just can't understand people enjoying watching kids be abused. If we got to see Abby get her comeuppance more often I could understand but she just tortures children for the most part
