Season 5 shows how vile Abby was towards Nia after Chloe, Brooke and Paige left. But I hated how the moms try to downplay the treatment of Holly, Christi and Kelly. As well as Brooke, Paige, Chloe and Nia.
Abby seems to resent when Nia experiences any success especially if it's not under her terms. I did have to laugh about Abby thinking that she's the expert about headshots and the reality is that casting directors want headshots that look youthful not glammed up since a lot of times children are asked to play younger since the older you are the more hours you can work
I was upset with Holly when she tried to downplay what went down with the secret duet and jumping down on Christi like the rest of them. Also when Chloe and Christi left yet the only ones to actually check on them that day was Cathy. 😱😬😳🙀
saying that nia is becoming a mini-me of holly is honestly a compliment. holly was always the most reasonable and she stood with nia every step of the way
I agree with you and Nia is a credit to both her parents. The majority of the time Holly was respectful and looked at both sides of the argument. Nia didn't talk back and was kind to everyone.

This episode seems more producer driven than usual. They planted a script for Jess to steal, sent MDP into the rehearsal room a dozen times, ordered a fruit basket, arranged a casting call, made up a fake blacklist, etc.

Talia and Kalani were actually in the Top 3 Mini Female Best dancer at the 2011 Dance Awards, Talia 1st Runner-Up and Kalani 2nd Runner-Up. Both went on to win Best Dancer later on, Talia was 2012 Mini Female Dest Dancer and Kalani 2013 Junior Female Best Dancer.
Erin always loved Chloe clearly because unlike Abby she saw the passion and talent. Also though she was quiet disgusting for her comments about dieting on impressionable children.

I know the production notes aren't 100% reliable in terms of forming a character judgement but the diet comments and her tactics for "motivating" her students seem uncomfortably similar to some of Abby's behaviour
My daughter was at a dance convention where Erin Babs was teaching Jazz. Erin called my daughter out (my daughter's name is also Erin) and gave her a partial scholarship for another convention! We have a picture with them together. This was 2015, so not sure if this was pre-, during, or post her dance moms episodes. I really liked her, but the show portrays her waaaayyy different.
Idk why Erin gives me a nice teacher vibes but nobodies perfect and she seems to be a bit mean to other dance teachers but she compliments her students well unlike Abby.
@@karengloor7211 i worked as a stagehand doing the light board mostly for a dance competition one year, and Erin was there with her team. I didn't get to meet her, but her team really did win 1st place most of the day I remember.

Abby will have her own dancers sit in the same room as the solo competition for the week and yells about how it’s good for kids to have a rival to push themselves harder, wouldn’t a competing team across the hall be the same thing? Their goal is to beat their team, how would that change from rehearsing next to them? I feel like that might have been a producer “say this” text to try and hide the fact that Abby due to her narcissism is a giant toddler.

I wanna know why they skip over the talia situation. Like why was she randomly brought on as a guest dancer on a reunion show? Season 3 episode 0. I feel like Abby really wanted her to replace someone but it was never mentioned. And why was she given a shot on a reunion and not a shot on a regular episode? and how come we as the audience are not reminded that we’ve been introduced to talia before?

Erin making disgusting comments and using questionable methods with her students (like threatening to cut them from the team) doesn't impress me. Unfortunately, the dance world, especially in competitive dance, is filled with teacher abuses, body shaming, yelling, etc, most dancers just "get used to it"

i love your videos. i live in pittsburgh and my best friend who is also a fan of the show is in town, and we went to see the aldc the other day and it’s SO eerie how run down and abandoned it looks. and then, i wish i was kidding but we literally found abby’s house, even verified it with shots of her house from the show. it was insane 😂
I remember watching s5 with my mum and also by myself and we were both so confused as to why she was literally never at their training sessions, i felt so bad for the mums and the kids because they couldn't dance and they spent time away from their families and friends to be there, and abby was just disgusting that season. Honestly, if i rewatched, i'd want to skip s5. my mum thought she was on dr*gs or something that season because of her behaviour, it was just so random and awful.
You should look into what happened to the footage that we see in the sizzle? It drives me CRAZY that there are two episodes that were filmed before the pilot that we’ve seen minimal footage of.
The way my jaw dropped at Erin’s comments about the diets for her dancers. That literally is the reason girls their age develop eating disorders and is probably perpetuating disordered eating culture in the dance world. That’s absolutely disgusting.

Don't know if it relates to this episode specifically, Abby didn't want JoJo on Dance Moms and when JoJo was on AUDC actively tried to get her eliminated every week. JoJo was there because production wanted her there so Abby was resentful that she couldn't control the situation
I remember these auditions and the produer was told by Abby that Nia changed the direction of the narrative and that's her mothers doing. Lisa did complent Nia on the direction she took the character. Abby was always undermining Nia
I thought there was built in drama of Maddie and Kalani going head to head in their solos. In the episode itself it does not even mentioned that Kalani had a solo. It was called Fragile Forest and she received a perfect score. Maddie also had a perfect score. So the judging panel had to work to figure out who would win. It did go to Maddie but I think this would have made for great TV and it actually happened.
If the moms' try to dismiss Abby's toxic teaching and behavior as 'tough love' then bring up when Abby told Kendall that the other people in rehearsal were a thousand times better than her. Not to mention when she indirectly was referring to Kendall (episode where the moms were keeping tallies of Abby's mean remarks and comments). Then again, the producers probably were involved with that, too- with the moms making comments in S5.
Why was Abby crying though? I’m still confused about what the personal issues were and why she refused to enter the studio. Was it related to trying to resist the producers or something?

producers often cut out dances if it doesn’t relate to the storyline they want. reality shows tend to have a “storyline” for an episode or season, so if something doesn’t fit, it’s removed from the show and sometimes the cast has to pretend that something didn’t happen
There is really no excuse for the mums behaviour but at the same time they are stuck in a contract and seed to get desensitized and stuck in their own kind of abuse cycle with Abby and production…

I wanna know why they skip over the talia situation. Like why was she randomly brought on as a guest dancer on a reunion show? Season 3 episode 0. I feel like Abby really wanted her to replace someone but it was never mentioned. And why was she given a shot on a reunion and not a shot on a regular episode? and how come we as the audience are not reminded that we’ve been introduced to talia before?

Erin making disgusting comments and using questionable methods with her students (like threatening to cut them from the team) doesn't impress me. Unfortunately, the dance world, especially in competitive dance, is filled with teacher abuses, body shaming, yelling, etc, most dancers just "get used to it"

i love your videos. i live in pittsburgh and my best friend who is also a fan of the show is in town, and we went to see the aldc the other day and it’s SO eerie how run down and abandoned it looks. and then, i wish i was kidding but we literally found abby’s house, even verified it with shots of her house from the show. it was insane 😂

I remember watching s5 with my mum and also by myself and we were both so confused as to why she was literally never at their training sessions, i felt so bad for the mums and the kids because they couldn't dance and they spent time away from their families and friends to be there, and abby was just disgusting that season. Honestly, if i rewatched, i'd want to skip s5. my mum thought she was on dr*gs or something that season because of her behaviour, it was just so random and awful.

The way my jaw dropped at Erin’s comments about the diets for her dancers. That literally is the reason girls their age develop eating disorders and is probably perpetuating disordered eating culture in the dance world. That’s absolutely disgusting.
Nia was really good in the audition from what we saw, and even if she wasn't, it's so awful and unprofessional of Abby to start saying bad stuff about her own pupil

Don't know if it relates to this episode specifically, Abby didn't want JoJo on Dance Moms and when JoJo was on AUDC actively tried to get her eliminated every week. JoJo was there because production wanted her there so Abby was resentful that she couldn't control the situation

I remember these auditions and the produer was told by Abby that Nia changed the direction of the narrative and that's her mothers doing. Lisa did complent Nia on the direction she took the character.

Mia is a hard working person, but Abby is just so mean and disrespect Nia and Holly and most of the moms, I think Abby needs to seek counseling.
I thought there was built in drama of Maddie and Kalani going head to head in their solos. In the episode itself it does not even mentioned that Kalani had a solo. It was called Fragile Forest and she received a perfect score. Maddie also had a perfect score. So the judging panel had to work to figure out who would win. It did go to Maddie but I think this would have made for great TV and it actually happened.
If the moms' try to dismiss Abby's toxic teaching and behavior as 'tough love' then bring up when Abby told Kendall that the other people in rehearsal were a thousand times better than her. Not to mention when she indirectly was referring to Kendall (episode where the moms were keeping tallies of Abby's mean remarks and comments). Then again, the producers probably were involved with that, too- with the moms making comments in S5.

In all fairness, by this point Abby was also annoyed by other people getting to ride on the backs of her show, especially other dance studios. Almost understandable that she decided not to play in to this one
I’m so confused could you please talk about this episode, for nationals season 5, mckenzie never got a solo in pyramid yet she performed why was this solo not aired? I was very confused as mckenzie was the only person that deserved a solo nationals season 5 and she didn’t get one
producers often cut out dances if it doesn’t relate to the storyline they want. reality shows tend to have a “storyline” for an episode or season, so if something doesn’t fit, it’s removed from the show and sometimes the cast has to pretend that something didn’t happen
