He's too hard on his kid self.... if he hadn't been that kid, he wouldn't be who he is now. If he'd been those things as a kid, he might have become bitter or withdrawn or anything... if you are ok with who you are now, you have to accept that you were always who you needed to be at that time. We are the sum total of our struggles, and we learn more from getting things wrong than we ever learn from getting them right.
Very mature outlook and being real and honest about what life is like for him. All the best for his future to whatever he's got planned...
He's certainly got a bright future with his great attitude!

Hi, I have spina bifida. I'm not sure exactly what my specific diagnosis is, but from the research I have done, it seems most likely that the occulta form of spina bifida fits my case the closest. I have never had any issues with motor, verbal communication, or toileting skills, or even any intellectual disabilities. I do have autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and a thyroid issue, but I'm not sure that any of those are related to my spina bifida. I have never shown any physical signs that I might have spina bifida (such as a bulge in the affected area of my spine). This diagnosis was made when I had to have a scan, because I was having stomach distress.
Ok this is 5 years ago. I wonder where he is now? Doing well I hope!
Also give yourself a break you were a kid being a kid. :p
