- Man. Sometimes humanities triumphs are so very tender. After a bit of digging into this artist's background, I see that she lost her battle with cancel, but won something very special - an incredible outlook on life. Get the Kleenex out for this one, folks.

My son was killed in a motorcycle accident September 2019, he was just 24 years old. February 2020 just 5 months later I was diagnosed with Leukemia. My heart and life was shattered into a million pieces 😭💔 I would later on be diagnosed with severe depression and PTSD. My whole world changed and I was stuck in grief. I was watching AGT one night and I listened to this young ladies story and the song she sang. ,I heard those words "you can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy." I listened over and over again as those words agreed with my spirit. This beautiful, strong, sweet young lady changed my life in an instant. I laugh more now and I am starting to get excited about life again. Night birde, Jane has made an impression on my life and I am thankful for her life. I pray she is singing with the angels now and she is happy, whole and healed. She has truly inspired me in the midst of my depression, sickness and grief ❤️
I was diagnosed with lung cancer just a few weeks ago and it was caught early. I will have surgery soon and the prognosis is very good. In spite of that I was feeling down and mortal. I watched her last night and she "got me bad." I've spent quite some time learning all I could about her. I'm 68 years old and her courage and grace enabled me to find peace.
I can't count the number of times I've watched her audition, and I cry every time. What a brave and beautiful spirit...
I came back here to watch her again after the special TRIBUTE from The South African Choir in AGT; ITS OK....My eyes are filled with Tears and I am laughing at the same time, because IT'S OK.....WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU NIGHTBIRDE💔💔💔 IT'S OK...R. I. P😢😢😢
If you don't shed a tear, you are not ok. The purpose of music is to make the listener FEEL something. Jane has made a difference in people's lives. Rest In Peace Nightbirde.
Unfortunately Jane actually had to leave the competition and ultimately ended up passing away. After seeing this air, I followed her story. And right up to the end she just wanted her music to touch the world. She was such an amazing human being, and I think we could all learn a little bit from her.
Something else very rare in this audition was the complete and reverant silence of the audience after she finished. It was acknowledgement of being in the presence of a humbled spirit and the honor bestowed on the audience for being allowed to share those precious moments.
I love how as soon as the first chord is played she smiles. It’s almost as if she’s already found her place in heaven and for a few moments she is healed and at peace. Such an inspiration!!! Truly.
Sadly Nightbirde Died on 19 February 2022, after loosing her battle with Cancer but her performance, music and the inspirational way she looked at life will continue to be eternally profound.
The audience was so quiet as she sang. They hung onto and felt every note that she released. Sweet Nightbirde, hope you will meet me when I complete my assignment here. 🙏❤️
This was a rare television moment of searing reality. The world stopped and listened. Beautiful soul.
I think it speaks volumes that this beautiful young woman was able to go on television and deliver her message of courage, love and acceptance. May her soul have found peace, and may she long be remembered as the lovely young woman who told everyone who would listen, "It's Okay".
Even after she passed away, Simon was still brought to tears when she was brought up. She had to leave the show for treatment but lost her battle. It's so sad. What a Gem.
I had just survived my cancer when she left us. This song has touched many. Simon certainly has not been the same since. He really really cared for her.

Every so often I need to hear this amazing young lady perform this beautiful song! Our 43 year old son passed away from a rare complication from chemotherapy on December 16, 2016. In early February of 2017, my husband was diagnosed with stage IV cancer and he passed away on June 2, 2017. My Mom, sister and nephew travelled for my husband's funeral & got home on June 7. On June 9th, we received a call that my 38 year old nephew passed away in his sleep. For well over a year I was literally drowning in grief, unable to cry for fear I wouldn't ever stop. When I heard this beautiful song, the tears started and lasted for what seemed like forever! Only then was I truly able to begin to heal. I hope she knew the amazing impact she had on the lives of so many!
After reading all the comments here, I'm glad I wasn't the only one to react with so much emotion to this beautiful and inspiring soul. It's hard to put in words the impact she had on me. She's a gift to the world.
