    Hello dear qdc I'm watching you since 7 years right now and you inspired me to do modell building by myself. And even tought I curently stop doing it, I'm still coming here from time to time just to make sure you're still uploading videos and having fun encouraging people to start with this beautiful hobby. Thx for all the great valuables lessons I learned from you're videos. Cheers from Germany

    Wow QDC that's amazing. My deceased uncle, trained on the quad halftrack in Germany in 1953. About the same period they reinstated the Wermackt. ( German Infantry.) 1953. Nice build, Dragon has alot of parts, and building their kit's is challenging. Thanks again for sharing.😊.

    That Dragon M-16 really looks awesome. I can’t believe how cramped that poor gunner is in that AA seat! I’m 6-3 & would get cloister phobic as heck all squeezed in like that. It was cool to see it in action at the Fairfield, Ca.base. I live in Seattle but I grew up in Danville, Ca about 35 miles away from there(‘75-‘80) I really like that Verlinden accessory set, they always pack them full so that you can have extras for other kits. The huge front winch really turned out great Q, that AV Vallejo rust streaks set is fantastic, a decade in the making but well worth the wait.

      Thank you for your kind words. This is a good kit and it's too bad they don't make it anymore. The accessories from Verlinden Productions adds a lot of interests to this project, I agree. I know Danville, CA well. I honestly want to thank you for watching this video. Take care.

    Goes to prove it is never too late to finish a model.. even if it was started years ago!! :) I have the Tamiya Mortar version of the US half track, which is different to this version, obviously. I need to get it built, have always wanted to build a US half track, ever since I saw one driving, many years ago. I have also seen one or two static ones. The first one I saw was the same version as what you did in this video, with the AA guns. . :) Good to see Buster is supervising you, as always. And yes, when it comes to accessories, sometimes less is more. I'm doing the same with the M6 Gun Carrier WC-55 that I'm currently builing, I'm leaving a few things off, because it will look better. I may have to invest in the 'Rust & Streaking' set you showed, as it is one thing I have trouble getting to look good. It worked very well for you. The end result of the build is a piece of art, the weathering in particular is excellent.. Well done, my friend!! :) You were finally ready to complete it!! :)

    Another fact for the M16 is not only used in AA roles but can be used for ground support which earned its nickname, the "Meat Grinder" due to its ability to pulverize enemy infantry within seconds thanks to the 0.50 cal. Quad Mount.
    The Soviets acquired some M16's as a part of the Lend-Lease as well..

Speaking of being Christian, I recently came back from Rome and visited the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. It's a beautiful place and you should visit there if you haven't already. My next video will be the Tamiya Carro Armato tank. I plan to use Rome as my backdrop for my intro. I wish you and your family a good day. Take care 😊😊

    • @qdc748a
      @qdc748a  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello 😊😊. During World War Two the US Army used a color called Olive Drab which is mostly brown in color. This color is unstable back then and it often changed color if exposed to the sun for a long time. It often turns to a yellowish color. I think the Marine Corps used green during the war but I'm not entirely sure. Take care 😀😀

      You made me remember about another modeler named Linda Ryan, who had a community of modelers; some envious guys tried to take over of her community by saying wrong things about her. She got depressed and almost took her life, but many other modelers helped her to make a stand against those usurpers, and she prevailed; the mayority remained with her, and she was back in the race with a new and more honest, more stronger community.
