Mini Schnauzer, improve lead walking

My Mini Schnauzer, Ramone, has been learning how to walk nicely on lead, stay in close and try not to get too fixated on what's happening around him. In this vid you can see some of the techniques I've been using to help him improve.

I have an 18 MTH old mini schnauzer exactly the same colourings. Mine is friskie with a strong prey drive, pulls and has a very quick gait. She does listen most of the time but reacts to other dogs. I get her to sit stay but most often her drive takes over. I will try your method. Thank you for sharing. Jerome is so sweet and gentle.

Nice. One thing to try is active distraction. Try throwing a treat on the ground and say 'find it', then use a series of commands that she knows that require her to be active. These work for Ramone, so might be worth a try. Good luck.
