I had a mini until a year ago. He was seventeen and my best friend from day one. Got him at six weeks, loyal intelligent and fun.He even saved my life twice. I always included him in everything that I did, and visa versa.
I’m so sorry for the loss of your little friend😢 Schnauzie’s do like to be included in everything, don’t they? 😂 my baby girl won’t let me leave her line of sight without jumping up to follow. She is the sweetest, gentlest, smartest little thing. I love her more than I can articulate.
Agree 100%. Fostered and adopted many shelter and puppy mill mini schnauzers through my life. I’m 73 now with some health issues. Life has not been easy for me. I took the path less traveled...obviously. I live alone now in a tiny modular home and no fence. Children and grandkids all grown up (raised my girls on my own...and while working full time for many years...also helped raise all 5 grandkids ....in the evenings, weekends, vacation days). Lost my youngest daughter to heart problems 9 yrs ago (she adored animals, was a vet tech for many years). Losing a human child...and losing a fur baby....the heartbreak feels similar, to me. The pain is overwhelming.🥺. For 8 years, I’ve been caring for 14 feral cats (all tnrd) and took in two stray cats with health issues. I so miss hugging and caring for my many mini schnauzers. With my health issues, I’m unable to walk a dog on some days....and I can’t afford a dog walker. What I wouldn’t give to be near some mini schnauzers. The nearest SPCA is pretty far from me. I’ve adopted many dogs over the years...my favorite were my mini schnauzers...Guy, Daisy and Deej. There were also many fosters who were all adopted out to loving families....but I cried every time they left. I kept in touch with many of the adopters who called to update me on their progress, over the years. All puppy mill rescues. My own...and just about every one of them...have since grown old and passed. As I stated...I’m 73 yrs old. I was fostering and adopting during my 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. They were all loved so very deeply. Such sweethearts. My heart melts whenever I see a mini schnauzer to this day. Thanks for sharing your beautiful baby.🥰
We just rescued a 10 yr old Schnauzer, Gracie. She is wonderful She was in a bad home. Getting Gracie out of her shell slowly. Just 6 months and she loves us, showing love now ❤️ Gracie is in her forever home 🐕 ❤️
Mine cried all the way home and cried and cried when I tried to crate her I had to have in bed with me to get any sleep she 4 now and loves a cuddle at night time she came from a puppy farm I didn’t know that when I bought her though some people would have given up on her but I couldn’t it was love at first site ❤️🐾
To me, a Schnauzer should look like a Schnauzer!! Crop tail, crop ears and remove dew claws. They heal just fine. I'm still alive and I've had surgeries!! 🙋♀️🐾🐾🐾
They grow up so fast! Our mini schnauzer Bublik is going to turn 1 next week. I never thought I'd say that but I miss his puppy days so much. They are extra adorable and cute at 2-4 months
Schnauzer's are busy little bodies from the time they are born always being prompt and active. I am a fortunate Schnauzer mom of Charlie. He owns my heart.♥️🐾💋💞Your baby is adorable.
I love Schnauzers! I have my third Schnauzer, named Bellamy. He’s six months old and kind of onry. He has your puppies coloring. But gosh, I want your puppies life! Beautiful scenery!!
Hate to be left alone. Are aggressive with new people coming in to their space. Will not back down from dogs that are bigger and stronger than they are. With little dogs it will intuitively chase them like they are rats, or in my neighborhood it would be mongoose. Will chase anything really. Chickens, turkeys, pigs. All of those are wild in my neighborhood. Her only fear seems to be of being left alone. Other than that mini schnauzer is the sweetest, smartest, fastest and most loyal little dog I’ve ever had the pleasure of being around. Be patient and make sure that your dog gets at least 45 minutes a day of exercise. Train and reward and be careful around other dogs or chickens, if you have them.
Update: I've now had my Schnoodle Brynnley 1 week. She definitely looks just like a phantom color Schnauzer. Crate Training is going great.. it's playpen time that's not going so good...and bites and or Chewing from the time she wakes till bed time. The only cuddle time I get is when she's about to fall asleep..I just love her.
I also am the proud owner of a Schnoodle as well ( pictured ) he is our first dog ever after having cats for decades . I must say I missed out for years not owning a dog sooner. He’s intelligent and extremely handsome & loving . I hope that you enjoy your pup as much as we do ours .
I like the usual stub tail and ears. Schnauzers especially miniatures grow so much hair in their ears and if it stays damp they can get infections and lose their hearing. People don’t take the time to properly clean their ears. And if you have a farm or really active woods type dog - short tails are safer as they don’t hung up in branches or bitten by critters, or other dogs. etc. that said years ago if used as a ratter - you wanted that tail to pull out of hole or burrow. It can work both ways. A friend got one with long tail when in Europe where it’s banned. Had a really strait tail, no curl. One of the kids closed the car door on it - talk about a mess and they weren’t old enough to know what to do, came running in house to mom and left the dog screaming. It became a snub tail. When their tails are docked at mere days - just a quick seconds process and off they go playing. No blood, infection - never stop playing or eating. Ears are about the same but a little more involved but are put to sleep, you just have to spend more time caring for them until set in position. And this allows lots of air to get in the ear canal. It’s like with docking tails on lambs - seconds procedure and they never slow down when they hit the ground. I wish people who get up in arms would consider the reasons behind some of these procedures. Each to their own.
Anyone know any breeders? What are prices of puppies? I had always wanted a Miniature Schnauzer but my mom and I ended up breeding AKC Maltese. Now I want to look at Miniature Schnauzers.

I have a ten mini schnauzer house rules sign at home. Rule number ten is that you will never owe alone. They follow you every where
Congrats on your beautiful gift from the creator of love and beauty.
I haven't even watched a minute of this yet, but I just wanted to say it's so nice to see a schnauzer withOUT a cropped tail!!!!
And ears!!
Best dogs ever, I have two and they own my heart ❤️
I had an all-black female named Annie. I've had so many great dogs over the decades, but she topped them all. So naturally smart it was amazing.
Adorable! I have 3 schnauzers myself. Best dogs ever!
It's hard to describe how amazing they are; thank you!

Best dogs ever, love ours, KASHI!
Nothing better than a mini!! ❤️
Precious! The world is brand new every day for these little ones! He reminds me of our Dudlee when he was a baby! 🥰.

He is so cute! I rarely see Schnauzers with long tails like that. My puppy Leo has a stub tail. He's my best friend. ❤️
Same with my Bentley Boo

@@phedges6476 they should look like a schnauzer so let’s start hacking away at them. Tf is wrong with you
I've been told they don't bob the tails in Europe. I think they are cuter bobbed.
Beautiful dog
I have a toy schnauzer, so glad I have her! So smart and very loving ❤!!

Hi prince Ralph.
He is cute. I had 2 but they were different as. Day amd moght.
👍❤❤❤❤
It's funny to see that long skinny tail wagging so much , our mini has a butt nubbin aka clipped tail . But it still waggs away
What is that huge collar for??
Does anyone on here have problems with them being fearful and sometimes aggressive? Do they really need to be socialized?

I’m getting a Schnoodle soon . The breeder says it’s taking more after her Schnauzer mom

how much did ralph weigh at 8 weeks and at a year
I don't quite remember, but he would have been around 3-4kg at 8 weeks old, at an age of 1 around 8 kg.
