    I have 4 knobs, 2 bass amps,a mids n highs amp, then a dsp, n it does look a little tacky but I use dm-608 to control them. Like you said it's nice to have a clip lights.

    You can use factory with a converter to hook up after market Amp did it in my daughter 2012 jeep and my wife's 2019 jee0

      Yeah the audio control lc2i is the best converter in my opinion.

    With a stock head unit if you have a line out converter or a cross over that has rcas you can run em

    • @johnnypiper1717
      @johnnypiper1717 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So if you have a lc2i pro it has main outputs and the sub out puts. So you would hook the rcas from bass knob to the main outputs and then to your amp?

    So external amplifier will have all 4 rca connections taken up? No way to use the rca already connected to the head unit and run 1 set of rca’s into the amp

    I have 2 way split rca, 1 connected to my subwoofer amplifier and other to my rear deck 6x9s amplifier. When i disconnect the subwoofer amplifier rca, then i can hear the 6x9s immediately playing a bit louder. This might be because i have both of these amplifiers ran on the same power wire (1 4AWG ground and positive distributed to 2 amplifiers) OR this might be because of the rca split. My setup is only max 400w rms, So the 4AWG is more than enough for these 2 amplifiers.

    What’s the benefit Of having an amp bass knob and rca knob together at the same time?

    • @JacobViral2
      @JacobViral2  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Convenience, clipping/monitor signals like voltage meter and adjustments/switches, safety. I only liked it because of clipping light personally so kept my amp knob always max and used rca knob to adjust accordingly.

    Hey mr. jacob. Can i ask somethin? I want to get the right voltage of my mono amp thrue multi tester. And here is the question? What testone hz should i use to test? To get 26v and correct me if i am wrong here is also the specs of my sub 700rms@1ohm and the given voltage is 26v. Anyway my box tuned 31hz.

    • @JacobViral2
      @JacobViral2  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most do 40hz for mono class d amps.

    Quick question once I set my gain with the smd and install an sky high knob do I need to redo my gains

    • @JacobViral2
      @JacobViral2  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would always tune gains after every equipment is installed. A bass knob shouldn’t alter anything but just to be safe I would.

    OK I'm gonna ask a dumb question, but my rca bass knob has a little blue and black wire. The black wire is a ground that I assume runs all the way to the battery ground? And is the blue little one supposed to be run to the remote on the amp?

    • @JacobViral2
      @JacobViral2  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Black is ground, red is power, blue is turn on/remote. Correct

    Hi I bought an evl 12 skar in a box that came with a bass knob and clip light, I bought a separate box and installed another evl 12 in it but seems like I get the clip light on with the same sound settings. Does this light work the same now that I have 2 separate 12’s or is it safe to turn up my bass a little more than when I just had the one 12? Sorry I’m new to audio in cars

    • @JacobViral2
      @JacobViral2  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The power splits between both subs, so now both subs get split power instead of one before, amp only puts out so much. Clip light should be right.

    Broskii help, I got some kickers for my Camry, two basic 12s and 1200w amp, kickers work fine and i love em, but my bass knob cuts out for days, most of the time it’s just sitting there. I leave it turned all the way down bc sometimes the bass that’s going at that moment from the stereo settings cuts out, and the knob connects so I’m able to use it like i should be able too with no problems, but it lasts a good 10 minutes until it cuts again and I’m back with the stereo settings, it’s the weirdest & most frustrating thing because I know it works, but I can’t find any info anywhere to help me fix it, and trust me I plugged that bad boy in and out about 6 times and nothin, PLEASE help me out

    • @JacobViral2
      @JacobViral2  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is amp cutting off after playing or just the Bass knob issue? I would try without a Bass knob and adjust your gain to not clip.
