Would you mitre external corners or butt them straight edge to straight edge? Also do you butter the tiles for the whole job or apply adhesive to wall at any stage. I'm thinking of doing my chimney breast and think mitring the external corners won't work out too well with the irregular face of these tiles. Thanks Tony
Love the channel, so many hints and tips. Could you recommend a water based gloss for window sill and best way to get a brush stroke free finish ? Cheers
What are you doing on the front of the chimney breast just painted. Wanted to do something similar but didn’t know if seeing end of tiles would look odd but this looked great
These tiles are in a house I am interested in buying, I'm not keen on the colour but think they'd look nice in a dark slate grey. Are they paintable and if so what paint would you recommend using? Thanks.
Cutting with 1 hand 🤦🏼. Better to use a powder mix adhesive because it’s a lot stronger when it sets not like the ready mix tub adhesive . I wouldn’t use ready mix adhesive on split face. It takes ages to set and it’s not suitable for heavy tiles.
Just fitted these tiles yesterday and never seen them fitted so bad… try scribing the tiles in !! People like u destroying tradesmen clown… yeeehaaa 🤠🤠🤠🤠
Very nice thanks for the video
Lovely job mate 👍🏽
I've never seen the one handed working technique before if you use both it might be twice as quick

Single handedly and awesome
Thank you.

Nice and tidy 👍🏻
Thank you.
You’ve used the wrong adhesive for starters

Yes just painting possibly upto the edge of the tile, may leave a small edge of adhesive. Thanks

Nice .Where did you purchase the tiles?
So nice 🤑🤑💚💚🖤💟💟 Have a nice day guys 🌷🌷🤑🤑
Thank you.
Would you recommend the Mac Alister tile cutter you used on this job?
Yes very good. Thanks
Dot and dabbed tile. I've seen it all now
Perfect way to fit these.. they are rough and uneven.
I would shred the wall then shred the back of tile….need good coverage boss

Nice tiles, onto normal plasterboard? They seem heavy
Yes nice tiles and its fitted to fire rated plasterboard.. thanks
Were they porcelain tiles?
I’m surprised your tile doesn’t fall or break.. this is not how you should put mortar on your tile at all
How do you finish the bottom after you remove the shims? Just caulk?
No best to grout.. thanks
why didnt you 45 degree cut them for the corners. would look better?
Very difficult to cut
@@PaintingandDecorating really I used a diamond constant blade on my mitre saw and just used a hose to keep the dust down.. very easy..
Well they do look nice, but I'll bet they're a bugger to clean after a few years.
Once finished they are sealed using a stone sealer.. which really does help keep the dirt getting ingrained. Thanks
How do you do a external corner with these tiles?
Interlock them.

Hey how would I know how many tiles I would need for my wall? Need your measuring insight plz
pieces sold a little under sq then measure your wall in sq
Exterior? Video shows up to an exterior corner. Not how to go round that corner.
Can you use this in a shower?
No
@@PaintingandDecorating thanks for replying, why can't it be used in a shower?

Lol. Don't show doing outside 90 degree
Is this a joke by any chance. Cheap crappy tile adhesive. Dot and dab not even scerating the wall. Really.
Doesn't sound like a joke.. maybe you need to work on your punchline.😁
bodge job
Amateur
Totally the WRONG way to do this.. And a terrible video without any commentary.
Thanks. Will take a pic in 10 years or less just to show you its still good.
