I always wondered why the motor had a bushing on one side and a bearing on the other. I like this motor in Tamiya cars. I have my motor in a Tamiya CC-02 Mercedes G Wagon. It is faster than the stock motor and has more torque too. I am even using a Tamiya ESC and it works great. Thoughts?
I have 2 550 45t trail máster they awesome. The real problem is when you don't want to spend too much, and the motor can give you 500 miles, that is impossible to beat. The motor from HH is always the best. Jhon is the guru for crawling. You want power HH is always a most have
Is this particular unit a 3 or 5 pole arm? I know because of the approximate extra 20% of wire length per wind, a 550 12 turn is about the equ. of a 15t 540 for rpm, but is a 5 pole affected the same way, or do the spin the same speed per volt as a 3 pole with the same gauge and wind count? Ta.
I remember when the first silver can came out. I was so pumped because no one made a 550 for crawling And that lasted forever in my wraith. Back in the day.
Crawlmaster magnum and stubby puller pros are my favorite. But I run the trailmaster and Crawlmasters in my sons trucks. They take an absolute beating. 2 of them have well over 500 miles on them. They've been to beat the creek 3 or 4 years in a row. They just keep on trucking!
Going to try one of the Trailmaster Sport motors in my Gen9 that currently has a 1080 G2 turned up to 8.4V. I have used your Crawlmaster Sport motor numerous times and love them. Thanks for keeping the pricing down, especially during this inflated economy.
Revolver for the win. Incredible torque density and great low speed control without a sensor. The Trailmaster Sport is a great budget motor but it's not a Revolver.
The 550 Trailmaster sport is what I have in both of my crawlers. My channel name says it all. The budget is always low and a lot of the times nonexistent. With the performance I get from those motors I really do not need to spend hundreds on the others. Tho I would love to go to something with more low speed control. I went to a 27 turn with a 9T pinion in my TRX-4 to get the most low speed control I could. Keep up the great videos brother!!!
I wore out my trx motor a few years ago and replaced it with your 21t... ❤ I try me bestest to support our "local" manufacturers! I just ordered a 2100kv XL puller pro for my custom Ryfty kit. 😊 I do a lot of traveling, if I'm in your neck of the woods I'm gonna come in and say hi... 😅
After bought the crawl master magnum 540 13T, revolver 540L classic 1950, and puller pro r 540L 2700 & 2100 for my trx4,all pair with castle mamba monster X, I am in love with the puller pro r 540L.
It's a solid motor for the price. Actually I feel that way about all your motors. But I honestly thought the most popular - by sales volume - would have been CrawlMaster Sport, specifically the 12T & 10T varieties in a 550 can because of it's 5 slot armature smooooothness.
You to build a specktrum ( dynamite) 6 kv motor that is easily programmed. A longer can with a built-in fan would be nice . More drag brake for road course racing.
And people say brushed is dead, lol 🙄 Great motor and no bearing on the back side to foul with dirt/dust/water, and easy to maintain. Far superior to any stock brushed motor! 👍
550 12T Trailmaster Sport. Ope, I was wrong. lol Really, those Trailmaster Sports have only been around that short of a time? I was thinking they've been around for 10+ years.
What brushed motor of yours would you recommend for the Typhon mega 4x4? I know I know, brushless power is better. I grew up on brushed motors, and all of my cars/trucks that I have now are brushless. I want have at least one that's brushed power with a good motor. What do you recommend?
Hey man love the videos, keep it up!!! I have a problem I’m hoping you can help with I have a bird scooter I got in non working condition and converted it using i brainpower controller and tf-100 (zp-883) style display. It has 3 speed modes and works fine in 1&2 but in 3 it will only work if I keep the throttle half way or less. Do you know what could be causing this??? Second these tf-100 style displays have a usb port I believe is to program the display, or so I’ve heard as it’s listed as not a charge port. The display have P-settings my particular version is missing most of the settings that control power output or speed settings , I can only adjust tire size, battery voltage for correct charge reading, number of magnets etc.(non power/ speed related settings). I’m wondering if this has something to do with my first problem… also I have been trying to find out if there is other firmware I can download to open up the settings of this display… I found an online manual for this type of display and at the very bottom, it listed they do change firmware depending on model/ updated etc. I tried emailing their help line, but have not received a reply.
Difference between 3 slot and 5 slot. 3 slot holds better, stronger detent force(the kind of click feeling that you get as you spin the motor shaft) and the 5 slot starts smoother (because it is always a shorter difference to the next phase of the motor than the 3 slot).
@@ryurc3033 John said in a previous video that the trail master actually had a better hold on drag brake than the crawlmaster series and I've been wondering why that is when the slot count should really make the crawlmaster stronger (I'm my understanding is correct)
Thanks John! It would be nice to see the differences in between the budget options - AND whether it’s placed in a two speed crawler vs single speed - and how the 540 vs 550 acts in both the two speed crawlers vs single speed. “High end” budget motors are important.. because of us who have multiple crawlers, there’s often just very few that get the expensive real high end options. I love variety! 🤙
I'm hooked on the 10 shooter. Once you go brushless 10 pole you'll never go back. Smooth without a sensor and even smoother with
My favorite is your line of revolvers

Just received a 45t Trailmaster in the mail. Putting it in a Ryft. Not sure how it will go 😅
I bought a 12 turn trail master 550 many moons ago, thing has so much use, the fan inside has burn marks on it and it still fires up n kicks ass.
Still running this motor in my Wraith from years ago favorite is Definitely Puller Pro
...Which one.....!!??
🤔

just put a crawlmaster 12t 550 in my trx sport with a 2 speed. Great products keep it up
I always managed to kill the 12t motors in a trx4 lol

I have one, love it. Recommended by my bestie Jordan Sicht. :)

I am here to watch you. I have one rc wpl. LOL
I got one of this on my rig👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 and i remember it being soldout and had to reorder.
I've run a lot of inexpensive brush motors and these are my favorites
awe yeah!
My favorite it puller 400

I have 4 Holmes hobbies motors and this Trailmaster sport 550 was my first and its still my absolute favourite!
...For what RC, which application...!?? 🤔
The best of the best of the best sir.
I bought a couple of these for my boys red cats

Hey, I love the 19t retro sport. Re-released retro kits need love too and more of it.
Do ship them international

I think it would be cool to see you come out with something to compete with the fusion motors 🤙🏼💨💨
Favorite product? All of em :) Puller Pro R 4100kv, BLS HV500, BRXL, and the one that got away... the BRE-XL :( (Please make more)
And people say brushed is dead, lol 🙄 Great motor and no bearing on the back side to foul with dirt/dust/water, and easy to maintain. Far superior to any stock brushed motor! 👍
I would love to try a ten shooter in my moon buggy build😍
I still have my silver can crawl master expert 35t 540s in my moa
When I order from you guys it ups the number of motors ordered. Entered 2, but at checkout it goes to 4. I guess I'll use 2 and have spares.
My Axial Basecamp motor burnt up what would you suggest?
This is my first Axial and I don't know much about them.
550 12T Trailmaster Sport. Ope, I was wrong. lol Really, those Trailmaster Sports have only been around that short of a time? I was thinking they've been around for 10+ years.

You had mentioned a drag brake difference between the crawlmaster and the trailmaster, but I wonder what internal differences are the cause of this?
Difference between 3 slot and 5 slot.
3 slot holds better, stronger detent force(the kind of click feeling that you get as you spin the motor shaft) and the 5 slot starts smoother (because it is always a shorter difference to the next phase of the motor than the 3 slot).

Would this be a good motor swap for a 2wd slash?
@EastTejanoRC yes, 21t 550
Thanks my new motor 🤙🏽
I have a 35 Turn
..."with what".....!??
🤔
Awesome thanks 🫡
