I'm thinking about it for the hill on one side of my yard. No grass but dandelions and weeds love it. And it's a bear to get thre mower to run across it without sliding sideways.
Ya know, the gentleman with Ryobi mentioned something. "As the tools reach their life cycle". What that really means, is "We no longer warranty, or service that product, you're on your own, bro!". I personally own one of their 40V String trimmers, although the line feed is a bit cumbersome, it works quite well. Am I planning on dropping another $100 or $150 or so for a newer version??? Nope! Not unless they are going to give me some sort of trade in allowance. (HINT HINT HINT since you apparently have communications with Ryobi...) Fact is, I have a boatload of Ryobi tools, it wouldn't hurt to give a trade-in/Loyalty discount for folks to upgrade their equipment. Just a suggestion.
I have to admit the trim mower is a great idea. I never would have thought of that. Is that why she mentioned the blade attachment instead of the wire? For the trim mower? For a small yard it's ideal.
@@JackKirbyFan those blades you’re thinking r mostly meant to b for “brushcutting” heavier stuff down but u could probably use them for grass too. May b a better cut too. Only thing is, I don’t think they cover the whole width of the cutter.
I changed the guard on my Whisper trimmer and it made it lighter and quieter. The 17" Whisper trimmer can be extremely quiet if you reduce the string size and the string rotation speed.
I have the pole saw but would LOVE to be able to buy the hedge trimmer head for the pole saw pole/extension. I had to drop another $159 for the whole thing when the head would do.
I like their confidence having tools of other brands there and not disguising the branding or anything…like hey now compare it to this piece of junk from this brand…in all seriousness it is great the amount of innovation Ryobi are doing these days
So im a long time fan of the channel, and i have to admit its been a good 5 to 6 months since ive checked back with you guys. Last time ii was here, it was Milwaukee this, snd dewalt that, and ryobi was nothing but junk. So i got about 25 deep in the comment section, and i saw only one comment about another brand, the ego trimmer. Where are the Milwaukee and dewalt fanboys? Has everyone jumped the bandwagons? Ive seen it all now.
Say I just purchased a 18v plus one wich actually has the direct drive motor being at the bottom... I'd like to ask what battery should I use as far amp... 6, 4, or I was thinking a more powerful 6=9....
These are nice I guess for just someone who does their own yard, but for commercial use I dont think these kind will last. Gas engine is just more powerful and durable.
2db is not alot, however a great idea and might even be able to engineer it so that the path of the weed whip spinning cuts the air in a certain way that it makes it almost silent
Shoot, I JUST bought an 18V trimmer and now this mower deck thingy comes out. Now it'd be cool if you could retrofit the deck to your existing 18V trimmer. As for the 40V's, I still prefer the Expand-It split-shaft, because I use a brush cutter and pole saw/pruner a LOT. I put a beaver-type blade with chainsaw style teeth on the brush cutter, and it's absolutely ferocious on woody invasives like honeysuckle and barberry. Absolutely no need fuss with a gasser.
I want to see comparisons where the companies go take products off the shelf and do the testing from the self products out in the set up areas, so there is no less chance of companies bringing there own juiced up products. Guess thats why they bring preproduction models and say this will be the product sent out but with some SMALL tweeks(wink, wink)
Are we forgetting something here or just hoping no one will realize with the motor on the bottom it will add more back stress. Why would anyone want that?
Ryobi need to change everything about their branding. Their tools seem to be becoming good but I just can't buy their stuff because of reputation. Change colours, name, design, something. Milwaukee, makita or ego has that prestige of looking like you know what you're doing when you're holding it even if you don't. Kind of like Nokia bringing out a good smart phone trying to compete with Apple.
Nah they don’t need to change anything, they target homeowners not commercial/industrial workers. They have a great price point for those who want to DIY
Ryobi marketing team is smart . men like weed Wackers. Men like beautiful woman. Put them together and make her smart and knowledgeable about said weed Wackers and bam. You have weed Wacker sales pretty much in the bag.
Home front yard should be fenced and leave it up to homeowners however they want to use their land. Front yard is currently useless for public display and no privacy
that mower/trimmer looks like an interesting idea something for smaller flat yards
I'm thinking about it for the hill on one side of my yard. No grass but dandelions and weeds love it. And it's a bear to get thre mower to run across it without sliding sideways.
Marky Mark would approve of feeling the vibrations.
I like it. Ryobi stepping up the game. Thanks for great video Vince.
Thanks Cuz, appreciate it!

That weed whacker / mower deck hybrid design is frickin genius.... that's perfect for smaller yards / condos / etc. very cool idea.
black and decker has had one with that for a while
"If you're using a cord, you're gonna cut it"... I did.
Good vibrations. That’s a great tune!
I have the pole saw but would LOVE to be able to buy the hedge trimmer head for the pole saw pole/extension. I had to drop another $159 for the whole thing when the head would do.
Them just tossing the black and decker pecker wrecker at the end had me laughing. Nothing more infuriating hahaha

Hello again Vince and Vcg
Thank you for another Great Video.
The EGO is super powerful. I have the trimmer the hedge trimmer and pole saw. All of them are super powerful.
and their design looks like something from 2050
I would grab one of the Trim / Mower's today if it was available in a 40v version.
Love the fact its battery powered no more gas no more cords thanks for the vdo.) Trick is 2 batteries have one charging at work site 😅
Glad you enjoyed it
@@VCGConstruction o no no thank u.)
O no no thank .u
They will work great in California during summer blackout lol

I think ryobi is getting up to the competition
Great video
Nice cant wait to watch!
Say I just purchased a 18v plus one wich actually has the direct drive motor being at the bottom...
I'd like to ask what battery should I use as far amp... 6, 4, or I was thinking a more powerful 6=9....
How's it cutting California grass
Wow, a Ryobi trimmer that mowers, now I’ve seen it all❗️👍🏻 1-18-2022
Love the John Deere in the background 👍🏻
ryobi has nothing on EGO they dont even make a powerload trimmer that winds up the string i still love my EGO POWERLOAD
I was going to say this also 🤷♂️😂
Ego triple the price ....so yes ryobi has something on ego
Awesome another one for Ryobi 👍
Damn fine as wine
Curious to see if Hart shows up with some of these
I have a lot of think tools and lawn mower ......love'em
Vince, when is that trimmer/mower going on sale? I need that!!!
Ryobi... The only platform that you can make a hole in wood and run to the patio and cut your grass, then go to the pool and clean it
Mrs Ryobi I think you accidentally tripped me in half marathon
Chaka gillis might wanna start rethinking his slogan
Ryobi knew exactly what they were doing hiring this woman lol
I'll take 20 of everything!
What’s the run time on these string trimmers at full throttle? How much on average does it cost to charge one as opposed to gas?
Black and Yellow for me Vince … No problems at all
please explain why in the hell you put a battery draining head light on the 40 v mower?
Great video Vince👍. Did you see the new craftsman v20 line?
Its dope
These are nice I guess for just someone who does their own yard, but for commercial use I dont think these kind will last. Gas engine is just more powerful and durable.
Obviously, that’s why they keep saying “home owner”
Black&decker ... always funny tools 😁
Cool stuff !!!
And the young lady factor representative is HOT !!! She can stop at my shop anytime LOL !!!!!
Thanks for the video Vince.
Well, seems Ryobi isn't so bad after all. I'm starting to like it a lot actually.
2db is not alot, however a great idea and might even be able to engineer it so that the path of the weed whip spinning cuts the air in a certain way that it makes it almost silent
Hmm, I'm tempted to try some "drillium" on the guard for one of my existing 40V trimmers......
2 dbs is a big difference. Dbs are logarithmic, which means that a tool that is 2 dbs louder will be twice as loud.
She makes me want to trim my bush.
Shoot, I JUST bought an 18V trimmer and now this mower deck thingy comes out. Now it'd be cool if you could retrofit the deck to your existing 18V trimmer.

YESSSS!!!
I want one too
Good tools, idc what Shaka has to say about em
I have purchased this without being able to examine it first hand. When affixed to the mower base, it is very sloppy at the front end.
Yea, doesnt look so functional. Better buy small regular mower with that $ instead

"WHIP-IT", WHIP-IT-GOOD" !
I guess Chaka needs to say that Black and Decker are trash! Nice video guys!
That was hilarious 😂
real nass like.
TRZ wishes these were flex tools
Beautiful and into power tools!
Are we forgetting something here or just hoping no one will realize with the motor on the bottom it will add more back stress. Why would anyone want that?
I hoped they would compare all their string trimmers so I could find the best one for me. Unfortunately this was a waste of time.
Thanks - all pavers. 😳😄
Lol you thought the black &decker...
Your handle for the Whisper trimmer, isn’t comfortable for 🙋🏻♂️ ME, because I’m left handed.
I own the DeWalt trimmer. It doesn't look anything like the one they are using. I'm not sure where they got that but I think it's fake.
Older/newer model?
She is very pretty and knows tools lol
Ryobi

Ryobi needs to stop making new stuff or imma go broke, lol
Until they have a powerload, I'm holding on to my ego
So did you have to pay for that b&d ... 🤣🤣🤣
Wawawee wa how much
The female product manager was a nice bonus included in the video. However, she called the shaft a boom.........lol
Ryobi good for weekend warriors only!
I'm a hardcore diyer... I drilled thousands of holes with my p213... Works like the first day I've got it

The WHisper Trimmer is NOT attachment capable.

🤣👍🏻👊🏻🤛🏻💪🏻🇺🇸
Still think ego is the way to go but thanks for the video!
First
Nobody cares
Cordless trimmer sounds like an ozymoron
lol
I just come here, because of that babe. 🤪😏
🤦🤦🗑🗑🗑
I mow grass for a living and battery trimmers are trash. Nothing compared to a powerful redmax gas trimmer
Different requirements bro
@@iamaduckquack thanks, I had no clue what I’m talking about
Grass is always greener…something like that.
Redmax is top of the chain in blowers too.
What did this hottie talk about?
ryobi 🤮
