I bought one. Still have it. Best car I ever owned. The V8 in it won Wards 10 best engine award two years in a row. 0-60 in 5.5. Motor Trend did a review on it and tested the interior decibel level and it is only 4 decibels louder than a Rolls Royce Ghost. I took the trunk interior apart and installed stick on sound deadening, because car trunks are the worst culprit for road noise because the enclosed space acts like a giant speaker. So now I am positive that my Kia is just as quiet or quieter than a Rolls. Part of the reason for the cars quietness is that it has an acoustic windshield, but it also has the front sides and rear sides laminated. Some luxury cars, like the Lexus RX only have the front sides laminated, while the rear sides are single pane regular glass. You can roll down the windows half way and look at the top of the glass and see the 2 panes with the acoustic laminate sandwiched in the middle. It makes a massive difference in NVH.
Do you still have this K900? Am thinking of buying a '15 used and wondering if you have any major issues with it. Thanks
Price like a regular Japanese sedan, reliable like a Honda Accord, drives like a Ferrari, luxury like a Bentley. Just the name that scares ppl.

The used market is crazy in these cars. You can pick up a k900 with around 20k miles for low 20’s.
Absolutely! I'm seriously thinking about going that route; I don't mind the depreciation hit.
Not to mention, I’m pretty sure, if it’s ‘certified pre-owned’ the factory warranty rolls over to you. 10 year 100k mile power train is nothing to sneeze at.
Fool, how is a Panoramic roof "Great" ? What are you, a woman ? Real Men don't give a Damn about a Glass roof in the back seat !

Am thinking of buying this used. Very nice review. My current auto, '04 VW Phaeton has power open/close trunk, and 4-zone climate, and all outboard seats are heated, cooled, and massaged. That is what $66K bought back then!
I'll never understand why Lincoln couldn't do this. Truly their successor if you're not a badge snob.
I currently have a 2014 Optima EX with the Premium package. I love it. However, I'm in a position now to upgrade and I'm leaning towards the k900 heavily. No disrespect to Lexus, Mercedes or BMW, but when you see one, you've seen them all. I like something a little more original that no one sees, that has the luxury, style, electronics and speed and is unique. Thanks for the review Dave...
Thanks and do appreciate your open-mindedness in all your reviews David. Most car reviews/ers are too damn bias - they all care about badges for status and speed that you can't do every single day on the road.
Appreciate Kia and the other non-luxury brands that they've step up their game in terms of luxury even though they have a long way to go. And let's be honest, most of us cling to much into Europeans brands especially the German ones. Most people care about status rather than practicality - price, usefulness, safety, gas, maintenance and so on. Thanks to Kia and the like for giving us more options - in the luxury department - for more practical prices without compromising too much in comfort and having standard features than most luxury high-end brands with their awful options that should be leisure basic. This is a good buy for a family-oriented person, not a self-centered one.
Great review Dave. Kia has absolutely nailed it with this car. I commented on your Cadenza review, and this car fixes all your complaints about the Cadenza. This is showing the world that Kia means business. I would love to upgrade from my Optima to this.

Everyman Driver In my opinion, you've got to go for the V-8 in a premium luxury sedan. The V-6 just doesn't cut it in a car this heavy. And the V-8 in this car is such a good one, as well.
Dave- GREAT video on the K900. I live in the Northeast and deal with snowy winters. Would this car handle OK with 4 good winter tires and 'Snow Mode' option engaged? Please advise. Thank You.

Since you live in Boston I would wait a few months to see if they come out with all wheel drive. There might be a all wheel drive version at the LA auto show.

This kiwi for discontinued in 2020 so you should see what fits in your budget between the first gen model which ran from 2015-2018 or the second gen model which ran from 2019-2020

I would not spend $59000 on Kia. That is just ridiculous.
It's a nice car that is cheaper than other cars, but this isn't as reliable as toyotas or Honda.

The sales numbers on this are not very good.
As great as this car is, I simply can't get my head around purchasing a Kia. They really need to work on rebranding because I just can't compare it to the competition when it comes to reliability and quality.
That's right, I have a problem. I have a problem with high quality, reliability, luxury, power and peace of mind when I drive. I don't think Kia can deliver that package as of right now.
