Whether or not it backfired remains to be seen. Not smart, assuredly. I dont personally think the energy among the die hards is there for an all-out save Trump type of gathering. Mainly, in part from seeing consequences in real time. People have jobs. Lives. Responsibilities. And nobody is coming to their rescue if caught doing crimes for Trump. But if the era Trump has tought me anything, is that anything is quite possible, and statistics don't mean shit when it comes to the stupidity of people, who are in fact stupid enough to support Trump.

There is an episode of the PBS TV show Frontline called 'the choice', and in it is described how Trump would start fights between cadets while @ military school.

As a senior citizen I have seen presidents come and go, but I have never seen the likes of this man child who wants to be a dictator. The sad part is if we don’t defend our democracy there are people who are so taken in by everything he tells them ,who are willing to help him become the dictator for life .
I am a combat veteran who fought and has suffered for this country. I want almost nothing more than to see Trump behind bars. The fact that there are people in my land who would support a man who wishes to be a dictator hurts me to my very core. May we all find peace.
