I first knew who Waddy was when I was 17 years old and my brother won a trip off the radio to go see the US Festival 83. My brother took me, and coming from Calgary Canada flew down to CVS Festival 83 ! Wadi was playing guitar for Stevie Nicks , what a impression I've had of him. Thanks to you folks, we get to see how big of a impression why he had on the music business.!!!! Absolutely incredible and thank you very much
Waddy is easily one of my favorites! Not only a master of the fretboard, but you get a show when he's onstage. How he doesn't have his own corner in the HOF is beyond me.
A fav of mine too Chris. And, good thought- there SHOULD be a category in the Hall for side men and session players for sure! I remember seeing him at the old Capitol Theater in NJ with Linda Ronstadt's band. He blew me away and I've never forgotten that show. I saw a bit of the Nicks 24 carat gold show on a PBS fundraiser and thought - that sounds like Waddy. Damn! As soon as I saw the long wavy blonde hair I was jazzed! Listened while he covered Buckingham's leads note for note while not breaking a sweat, and doing his own thing for her newer stuff. A legend for sure! And supposedly he and Nicks are together. I don't keep up with much rock gossip but that's cool. She the hottest 72-year old I'VE ever seen! I was impressed by her too. I always thought she was good but never took her too seriously back in the day. She's matured! Peace
It is so cool you're talking about fretboards which is fantastic thank you. A friend of mine has spent a lot of time and endeavor into creating what he calls a scalloped fretboard. If you're interested in hearing about it I could probably send you videos about him talking about it and explaining it . It's up to you and it's all good and thank you very much
I snuck up into the dressing room at the Bijou cafe in philly back in the late 70s? when he was with Ronin. They were just finishing burning one and he said "yell for Cinnamon Girl when we go back out, we do a killer version". So i did, and they did. Their whole set was killer. Also saw him with the expensive winos too - that band ROCKED. > Waddy is THE man for sure.

@@ciaranmcgreal7966 I stand corrected ,don't remember where I read it,but I found an interview of LW interviewing WW and vice versa, and they both told the story!

I've always been curious as to why they never invited Waddy into Fleetwood Mac when Lindsey quit in 1987. Rick Vito and Billy Burnette worked out fantastic imo, but still you would have assumed their first choice would have been Waddy as he was already playing with Stevie for years.

Saw Waddy play in Toronto last night for Stevie Nicks. He was great! Amazing guitarist and a wonderful show!
The Immediate Family is simply too much talent in one package. You know every song worth listening to if you know these guys!
Waddy is blessed with talent. That's some high praise from Keith and others.

This is the man! So many times u heard a guitar player and never knew it was this man!
Waddy learned what he knows from people who were "good"; he then took what he learned and went to another level☝. He is now the person you learn from
Waddy Wachtel is the MAN
It's good, very good, that he is seen and known, for the PHENOMINAL musical artist that he has become.....👍😁
I'm glad Waddy is such good friends with the Cowsills.
They are the best band EVER!!! They deserve each other!

Love Waddy- especially his work with Linda Ronstadt... and search for his Ronin album. It's fantastic
