As a vet tech, I see so many awful breeders and not very well bred golden doodles. You seriously go above and beyond! It would be an honor to get a pup from you- wish every breeder was like you!

I loved today’s vlog, I was happy to be notified of your post. I am from Toronto Ontario Canada and seeing how good of a breeder you are makes me want to drive to North Carolina to adopt one of your pups. I am still grieving the loss of my 14 years old golden doodle Danny who died summer of 2021 and my heart is still not ready for a new puppy. Maybe some day. You blogs bring me joy. When do you begin the progesterone tests during their heat? After bleeding has stopped? How do you know when to start checking prog?❤
No - between 6-8 days after their heat starts!

We only own Tilly - Fozzie is an outside stud!

We get it straight from our vet! I don’t trust any other prenatals!

Do you have any tests done on the stud?
Yes he is fully health tested as well - genetics, hips elbows cardiac and patella’s! He is owned by a breeder friend of ours!

Do they sell home progesterone tests to save money and time on vet bills?
Yes but they arent always accurate!
Hi Bailey, I love your channel! Do you ever do vaginal cytology to see if mom's ready for breeding? We're on a waitlist for a different breed of dog and this is what our breeder does. Her pup's supposed to go into heat this month. I am low-key nervous that the cytology isn't as good as progesterone.
I have only done one once, but I did it with progesterone as well!
how old is tilly?
I love Tilly so much, wish I could get one of her puppies! God has other plans though, and we're expecting a human baby in just 2 weeks, 💖 so no puppies for us for the foreseeable future. Hope everything goes well with this next pregnancy, I know she'll produce wonderful offspring for you!

Hi I know I'm not the person you asked for advice but I just wanted to give my unsolicited advice anyways.
There is always a chance of difficulties with pregnancies, there can be stillborn puppies, complications with the birth, or afterbirth, etc. The only thing you can do is talk to your vet, make sure your dog is a good candidate and just go through the whole process with the vet, so if there ARE any complications, they can help and guide you through it.
@@briannacooley6762 ok thank you! I will keep this in mind my dog is only 8 months at the moment so we will not be breeding just yet but Tysm it definitely keeps me up to date!
@@horseriderjessica Yea I wouldn't recommend breeding her the first time she goes into heat. I would wait until the second time. But I'm glad I could help a little!
I have a girl who's a year old who I would've loved to breed but I'm not a breeder and don't want her to go through all of that just so she can have some cute puppies, so I'm hopefully gonna be getting her spayed in a couple months
The first thing you need to do is get her health testing done - if she doesn’t pass that she shouldn’t be bred! After that then you can consider whether to breed her or not.
@@horseriderjessica wait til 2 years at least. Do some health testing as well, she may be a great dog but that doesnt mean she needs to be bred unless those genetics and conf look grest too! Also consider do you know of homes? Do you know whos going to buy and do they deserve those puppies? What happens if they dont all sell? Are you willing to keep them for 4, 10, 18 months or even their whole life? Or will you just shelter toss the leftovers. Consult your vet, find you buyers, and ultimately do whats best for mama dog. Millions of dogs are happy without puppies and millions of owners are happy never breeding them. Complications are too high in my personal opinion to do it as a one off “for fun” thing.
