People don't even care about his lore or voice lines, they only judge his gameplay and how different it is, I am sure that if they would read his lore and listen to his voice lines they will like him.

I think that the pre-rework, speaking in terms of Gameplay, was better and originally. Yes, he was another one of those Basic Attacks character, but you have to be more strategic, specially because of his passive. If you did not have it, you have to play more passive and know when you can or not enter in a fight, also you could play him as an AP character, which is pretty cool to have new ways to play a character and still having fun. But the new Aatrox is more like a new and slower version of Riven, and having the old Passive in his ultimate is less tactical. You just have to wait two or less minutes (almost 90 secs, cuz of the CDR in the items) instead of five of the old passive. Also, i miss the animations of the pre-rework W. I think it was hella cool to heal and also pierce the enemies with the sword. I like the new Aatrox, but i will miss so much the old one and playing him as a baddas full attack speed but also as a nuclear bomb with his old full ap ultimate. But of course, this is just my opinion. In terms of lore and voice-acting. i prefer the new Aatrox. Even maybe his new appareance.

Play them at the same time and you have yourself an amazing time. I really hope Aatrox will be in the future seasons of Arcane, I'm pretty sure if they are going to put a main villain in this series Aatrox would fit perfectly for that role. Other champions that might play as the main villain is Viego and Mordekaiser.

Also bringing Aatrox into Arcane would mean tossing all the current charcters and plots because there is no way normal humans could fight him. The would have to completely shift the story and make it about the aspects.

Dude man's been trapped inside his sword for so many years he is unable to breathe and the only thing he feels is pain. Of course the only thing he can think of is the people who put him on that state and how he will plan his revenge
he's not the champion who would do jokes... thats why he's a god of his own... however Riot with a few of their corny punchlines got implemented in this dude, and his character is a bit unnatural
