I think Necrit may need to reanalyze his place on that "most powerful champions" list LOL Seriously though, it's sad how ironic it is that Aatrox criticizes Varus' "mortal emotions," yet shows such care and compassion to his fellow Darkin, unaware it's a "mortal emotion" as well. This kind of serves as proof that he really was a noble soul, to care so deeply even in his current state and madness, we now even know he's not just trying to "end his suffering," he's trying to free all of them, it's why he's calling them to this "last war." He may be one of the most tragic antagonists of any setting I've ever read or heard of, maybe even on par with the likes of Emet Selch, props to Riot's lore team.

Voicelines aren't 100% canon. Usually, they are a "what if" thing. These particular voicelines show what Aatrox would say *if* he saw the weapons; it doesn't mean he did. In fact, the descriptions of most Darkin indicate that they broke out on their own.

It’s almost heartwarming to see Aatrox glad to see his comrades again. That he never forgot their names, and finds kinship in their shared purpose. You can tell that this was more than just a general and his soldiers following orders, but a leader and his warriors that admired one another.
Aatrox always a tragic figure, but now he has a redeeming quality. He genuinely cares about(most) of his fellow Darkin and for most of them it seems to be mutual. Even as corrupted and damaged as they are, they still trust their general to lead them.

I love the characterization they gave Aatrox through these voice lines. It really shows a new side of him, before the maddened state we see him in LoL. His interactions with his fellow darkin, and Joraal in particular show him to be such a caring leader, looking out for his teammates and respecting their power. The voice lines he has about the blessed isles shows that even as a darkin, he still has memories and recognition of what was once a beautiful and sacred place. Wish we'll get more content like this for the characters we know and love.

See, for all his bluster, I'm not sure Aurelion WOULD destroy all of Runeterra - he'd want to destroy Targon for sure (and I don't just mean the mountain, I mean the empire beyond Runeterra), but I think if he saw that there were enough good people in Runeterra he'd probably spare it - especially if they helped him fight Targon, like Pantheon is doing. At his heart Aurelion is a creator, an artist - even in spite of his enslavement, I think he'd still be on the side of life in the end. We know he hates the Void, so he probably wouldn't like Aatrox much either.
I feel like it was a missed opportunity for Riot to not do it in Wild Rift as a mini event. I mean... Wild Rift has already a quote-on-quote "mini event" of Renekton vs Nasus and Kha'zix vs Rengar at sertain points in the game so why didn't Riot do one about Aatrox and Pantheon once Aatrox got released it's beyond me.

I think it's because the Darkin saga is only a "what if" scenario caused by Kayn overcoming Rhaast to become a Shadow Assassin and raided Master Yi's temple. Thus, leading to the events of Xolaani taking over Jun's body and this huge battle between the Darkins and some other champions.
It sounds like Xolaani left the front lines during the war in Icathia. Aatrox calls her a coward, so she ran? And maybe she tried to warn them that they couldnt handle it, and now every is corupt with ptsd (poor Joraal 😔).

I didn't read the lore but all I knew that Xolaani is kinda like a priest of Shurima before she was corrupted. I didn't knew what makes her to be despise by Aatrox so much...
she simply didnt trust the other darkins to stay calm (tricked all the darkins into taking blood magic so she could use it to control them) which triggered a war between her and the general aatrox which got them all sealed to their weapons by targonian aspects
She tried to pull a Zerg/Tyranid by doing something Similar to Bel'Veth: uniting the world in herself. She was planning to control the entire world in a hivemind, which would bring an end to war, suffering, turmoil and even sound itself. After she absorbed what seemed to be Horazi and then Mihira into her being, we can see what that progress would look like in her Aspect's Bane form. Naturally, being united in a massive hivemind against their will by some crazy ho is not what most of the darkin wanted, especially not Aatrox who was their leader. Then the Darkin war broke out, those that were under Xoolani's control and those that resisted with Aatrox clashed, until twilight trickery and other targonian intervention sealed them in their current suffering. If you sum it all up, Aatrox hates Xoolani because she started this whole mess. without her, they would either be Ascended, or dead, but not this horrid middle form.
What if the darkin finds out their emperor is alive? Their purpose reinstated… make Shurima great again with ease, or their madness is far from salvation

(If I recall correctly, Naganeka was originally named Valeeva in previous stories, and is named as such in the game files, but was eventually changed to Naganeka, so the line might be referring to him 'getting her name wrong', so to speak.)
Naganeka And Valeeva are two different darkins. Naganeka was the snake-like(until a chicken became her host) darkin in the twilight of the gods, while Valeeva is believed to be Varus' sister

I didn't read the lore but all I knew that Xolaani is kinda like a priest of Shurima before she was corrupted. I didn't knew what makes her to be despise by Aatrox so much...
She fled the front lines and corrupted their forms into what they are now
she simply didnt trust the other darkins to stay calm (tricked all the darkins into taking blood magic so she could use it to control them) which triggered a war between her and the general aatrox which got them all sealed to their weapons by targonian aspects
She tried to pull a Zerg/Tyranid by doing something Similar to Bel'Veth: uniting the world in herself.
She was planning to control the entire world in a hivemind, which would bring an end to war, suffering, turmoil and even sound itself.
After she absorbed what seemed to be Horazi and then Mihira into her being, we can see what that progress would look like in her Aspect's Bane form.
Naturally, being united in a massive hivemind against their will by some crazy ho is not what most of the darkin wanted, especially not Aatrox who was their leader.
Then the Darkin war broke out, those that were under Xoolani's control and those that resisted with Aatrox clashed, until twilight trickery and other targonian intervention sealed them in their current suffering.
If you sum it all up, Aatrox hates Xoolani because she started this whole mess.
without her, they would either be Ascended, or dead, but not this horrid middle form.

No that's not canon , niether of kayn or rhaast won and kayn didn't get defeated and in the rhaast version he actually took the weapon so yeah both those aren't canon

So yeah Runeterra is cool and all but I DONT WANT TO LIVE there😁.
