    This recipe is absolutely wonderful and I will be making it for friends and family this Christmas. Thank you so much for sharing this fantastic recipe!
    If you crumple your parchment paper, you can then flatten it out on your baking sheet very easily.
    God bless you and, thank you again!

    So I had these for the first time at Global Village from a kiosk called Austrian Roasted Almonds. I bought 3 packets, 2 of salted caramel almonds and 1 of the pistachio coasted almonds. I wish I could post a photo! But they are so darn addictive, I literally pop a few in my mouth even before going to bed 😂 now they are getting over and I've been on the hunt in YT for the best recipe to make these. I've gotta try this recipe soon 🎉🎉🎉
    Thanks for the video, appreciate it 🙏🏽

    Cutting parchment to size and dampening bottom of the corners helps it stay in place.
    I’d be interested if folks have experience using a silicone mat instead of parchment. Would silicone affect the cook time or how the nuts bake? I’m curious.

    • @FlannelAcres
      @FlannelAcres  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I haven't tried that before, so I'm not really sure. I guess I'd be afraid of the almonds getting too brown before the coating has a chance to crustify. If that's not a word, it should be. Lol!

    Pour the egg from the shell into your hand. Let the white run thru your fingers. The yolk won't break. Then put it into separate bowl and add to another egg and tell everyone it's a 2 yolk egg. Have some fun while making the job easier for you. Advice from experienced 81 yr old cook.

    • @FlannelAcres
      @FlannelAcres  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm, I wonder if an egg white substitute would work. That would be my first guess. Also, with roasted almonds, you'll have to watch them to make sure they don't get too toasted. :-)

    That's not how you make candied almonds... All you need is a pot, water, almonds, sugar, cinnamon and maybe some vanilla... Egg shouldn't come anywhere near those almonds and neither does it "at the fair"...

    • @FlannelAcres
      @FlannelAcres  5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      What a boring world it would be if there were only one way of making candied nuts. I'd rather make them with eggs and see the interesting comments it brings.
