Is the gold really solid or capped because I found this scrolling in the comments in another review: "The Black Bay S&G models have solid crowns, bezels and end links while links in the bracelet are capped. The 1926 and Royal lines do differ. The Royal bezels and bracelet links are capped while the crowns are plated which helps assist in keeping the cost more approachable. The 1926 models have solid end links with capped bracelet links and bezels, however the 28mm versions do have solid bezels. You may see or hear otherwise, but this info is direct from Tudor." Thanks!
@@abdullahkarakus8639 Where did you see a listing that said it was plated btw? I just assumed it’s pure 18k gold since every listing on every site doesn’t specifically say “plated”
@@abdullahkarakus8639 this particular model per serial number just says “yellow gold” bezel while some other models have “solid gold” on the bezel tab. That may mean this particular model is a gold plated version while there are others with solid gold. For me I’d rather have the solid gold version
Owner of the Tudor Royal 41mm blue. Yeah, do not crank it down so much. Screw it until you feel the resistance and that will ensure your 100m of water resistance.
@@jerrywangg bingo. I got the 38mm. Jeweler said with this particular model you gotta be careful not to tighten crown too much. You’re getting full water resistance when the Tudor insignia is upright.

You’ve got the crown screwed down too tight. My jeweler told me to not crank it down that much.
Well if you don’t want water to get in the movement you should screw your crown very tight.
