He's our centre half
He's our number fouuuuuuuuuuuuur
IT'S VERGIL VAN DIJK
That's why we came 💪🏼
Beautiful
Amazing! Love the fact you break down the chords to practise but more importantly you sing the whole song so you get a sense of where the vocals tie to the chords.... Thank you!!
That is how I learned which is why I teach that way. Hand for noticing. Good luck and take care
Thank you again for your songs that give me so much pleasure in playing the guitar. Warm greetings from the Netherlands. Stay healthy!
Did this one for my senior year talent show/fund raiser. Nobody knew the song, but I implied that the song made me think of my town and school. It was funny and a bit of 15 mins of fame for an 18 year old me. The other students thought it was hilarious and the teachers were not amused (at least outwardly. Being older now, I’d bet many of them thought it was funny too!).
I’ve done it at open mics in my hometown since. It’s always good for a laugh. I’m sure I’m not remotely the first person to have done something like this or have this kind of story. For what it’s worth, I tend to play My Hometown at open mics in that town too. Gives the folks a warm fuzzy after jabbing them a bit with this one.
Awesome, it’s a great tune. I’m sure you did it justice!! All songs come with many stories. And I love hearing all of them. Thanx for sharing yours. Take care
Great lesson! Just what I was looking for so I can play along with my mandolin. Hello from Texas, USA
Another great tune made pretty easy to learn! Thanks, Marty, love the way you present the songs and show us how to play a version we can manage without being advanced guitarists. What surprises me most is I want to learn almost every song you put on your channel - different from lots of other sites!
Nice old tune! I love your easy strumming pattern. Thanks for sharing.

Nice litle job Marty, glad to see you've come through your problems and lockdown ok. I add a slight embellishment at the beginning of each verse by doing a walk-up to tthe G on the 6th cord - 0,2,3 along with the first words ex "I met my" and then the full G. Best wishes.

I have a request for a song that's been haunting me. Hot Tuna "I'll Be There for You". It only appears on Live At Sweetwater. Not listed on any Hot Tuna lists. I keep hearing it on Google Play and I can't find a chord sheet ANYWHERE! Even wrote to Michael Falzarano who co-wrote it with Jorma with no response. I'm going out of my head, I must play this song!
Me too!! You are very welcome!! That’s a great tune, I will put it on my “possible future project” list. Thanx for your suggestion and for tuning in.

Hey Marty, were you aware that Ewan McGill was Kirstys father ?
Of fairytale of new York fame.
No I wasn’t, really cool
Fact though, thanx for sharing!!
Written by Kirsty MacColl 's dad.
I always thought The Pouges wrote it, but it was Ewan Maccoll in 1949.
Hi Marty, would you have interest in trying a new condenser microphone which is suitable for recording acoustic guitar? I would like to work with you but didn't find your contact email.
Thanx for the tip. I’ll keep it in mind, and thanx for the offer my friend, I will
Reach out if I am in need. Thanx and take care
