You're just handing the FAA what they need. You can't just say "we followed the guidelines" or "GoPros can be deceiving" when you're clearly under the 2,000' FAR. Think of the entire wingsuit community and stop posting clips of cloud busting.
What is 2000 FAR? Can you please explain so us non experts understand your post.
@@pirate7089 Below 10,000 feet, the FAA requires us to stay 2,000 feet away from clouds horizontally, as well as 500 feet below, and 1,000 feet above. Above 10,000 feet, we must stay 1,000 feet above, 1,000 below, and 1 mile horizontally from clouds.
Thanks for the explanation. It would be very hard to prove without admissions or actual footage of flying through the clouds. I am sure people breach those rules all the time but they would not publish it.
@@pirate7089 You don't need to fly through them. Just being near them is enough. And yes, skydivers bust clouds all the time, we just don't post evidence of it. Because duh.
