    A lot of people are on the kick of not needing to upgrade the oiler i think because a big u tuber says theres no need too to just keep rpms high and i agree but there are some applications u cant as u said and you need more oil your vids on these helped me greatly on the 400c thanks

      Mr. Mitchell, I watched and commented on that video
      that I found his commentary interesting. It is a very good video. However, there is no difference in modifying the oiler or modifying the engine to produce more horsepower or torque. There are lots of things stated publicly by prominent individuals that I don't exactly agree with. How did anyone figure this out? Why does STIHL produce the parts and oilers to do this? Why have multiplied thousands of people watched the "oiler" videos? They are looking for a solution for more oil on these specific saws. Thank you Mitchell.

      @@Brian2bears i agree i said some very similar things in a couple vids ago i because to me as like you people upgrade engines and mufflers but when it comes to oilers suspensions or what ever they think theres no sense or they wasnt aware there was a problem and theres not but just like porting upgrading a oiler us suiting the saw to a persons needs i know we all have out opinions and some vary but its crazy to me people jump on a band wagon and start thrashing with out doing it there selfs or knowing our type of wood but its all good thanks again for the oiler info

    Very nice saws huh? I’d love to give a port job to one. Nice to know that there’s room to improve on the Oiler and a solution too. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks so much for the clarification, Brian! I don't know how I got the impression that there was an issue with them, so thanks also to Ian for pointing that out👍.
    As you know, I'm a fanatic about keeping the chain sharp, so maybe I am at a sweet spot with the 25" bar and the oiler wide open. I'll keep monitoring it and keep you all posted!!

    Thank you for this sir. I run a 400c through a lot of ironwood here, and I needed more oil, as the bar got hot due to the stingy oiling. I just took the easy road and put the 3250 oil pump in and it oils like mad now. Thanks again.

      Is the 3250 stamped on the oil pump it or does it have a different number on it I just ordered a 3250 an thats the number on the box but the number on the pump is different

    • @Brian2bears
      @Brian2bears  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@eddiedillingham3638 It should be in sealed plastic with the number on the bag. 0461 are the last digits on the latest HO pump bodies I have seen. Out of curiosity what is the number on the pump body you received? Mr. Eddie, to my knowledge the 3250 pump is the combination of a set of components, not the body itself...

      @Brian2bears the body itself is stamped 1128 647 0461 one the box it come in is 1128 640 3250 when I received the pump was in plastic the different numbers just confused me

      @@eddiedillingham3638 Mr. Eddie, that sounds correct. The "golden marker" will be the oil output, a very notable difference. Thank you sir for watching, and corresponding with me...

    Wow almost double the oil output is impressive. Neat you can run them "stock" as well.

      Yes sir Mr. Eric, specifically 15cc per min vs. 24cc per minute, both can be turned down to 13cc per minute. There is a third option, middle of the road at 18cc per minute but it is not in this video....

      @erniiaylien Hi Markus, the control bolt only...the pump piston will not work. It is also the cheapest of the two parts...here is an inspection vid on a commercial use 261, I do not break down the pump in this video...th-cam.com/video/atvWZMqm0Co/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Gjo5qu2paznN0vij

    Is the factory installed oil pump on a 400c sufficient for a 20-25' bar ? Thinking of buying one!
