Wow, wasn't expecting that #1 at all, not even from you! But that song definitely deserves more appreciation. Overall a typical 80's year, an altogether good year, without any really bad song, just a few uninteresting ones, a handful of good songs and one winner that stands out head and shoulders above all. Yes, Ireland is my runaway winner for me. I also like a lot Norway, Yugoslavia and Italy.
Thanks for the 2nd place. I think it's one of our best entries. I rank it #7 of all our entries. But the performance could have been a little bit better she needed to be more relaxed.

The only song from this year that i have continously listened to since 1987 is Gente Di Mare. I have also watched Israel on internet some times, just because it's funny. I like a lot of the other songs too, but they haven't stayed with me like Italy's song did.

1987 minns jag som ett av mina favoritår i tävlingens historia. Det är ofta så när jag lyssnar på Eurovisionslåtar så sätter jag alltid betyg på dem (från 0 till 5), och vad gäller 1987 ser jag att jag gett den stora femman till åtta(!) av dessa låtar, plus fyran till ytterligare tre. Alltså hälften av alla låtar har fått minst en fyra. Och som kronan på verket var det ingen låt som fick 1 eller 0. Lägg därtill också att Irlands låt också var en av mina "femmor". Det är väldigt unikt att det händer, min smak träffar sällan rätt med övriga Europa. Jäkligt starkt år med andra ord.
I like this year! It has a very deserving winner in Johnny Logan. Hold me now is a masterpiece and the best song this year, period. Italy should have come 2nd tho. I like Germany too but Italy was better. Other good songs are: The Netherlands, Cyprus, Belgium, Norway, Yugoslavia, Israel and Iceland
I know opinions are very personal but, of all the Portuguese entries, THIS is the one you place at nr.1?! I remember being embarrassed at being represented by them that year. Feel Iceland is way too hight on your list, that song is as bland and boring as the perivious years entry, I always forget it exist until I hear it again, and personally even if I cannot stand Isreal and the politics they preach „Shir Habatlanim“, aka hubba-hulle! is probably in my books the best one of the best non-winning song in Eurovison and Its actually better song then some of Isreal's actual winners in my books.
