I love the applause and then laughter in the audience when Norway gets its first 6 points. It's as if they're thinking, "Thank goodness, not another nil points for them".

No, France, Italy and Greece skipped this one. Actually TF1 didn't want to return so another broadcaster FR2 picked up the contest a year later in 1983 when France returned.
