When Dom went to get Marcus, Hoffman actually gave him implied permission to undertake the mission. He later felt that he at least partially made up for what he did by helping to save Marcus here.

Yeah, I remember find it and being so happy, but it’s hard because when the Kryll start coming from above you have to turn back and get off or else you die. Besides, RAAM might come over to kill you as you’re trying to get back on so you have to run for it or get insta killed. But man that turret was a godsend.

In this remake I expected an updated skorge to be in here but well... the queen took his place in this particular scene.
he's on easy is so obvious that mother fuckin raam is hard af he puts boutt 12 snipes and 2 grenades but I put all 24 snipes in him and 4 grenades and he still won't die

88Shortfuse took me about 3-5 tries, but that’s because I started at the beginning of the train ride. The torque bow really helps, but the whole act is a pain to go through. Once you’re facing RAAM with the torque bow from what I remember it’s about 10-12 perfect reloads and grenades away from victory.
I wish that gears 4 had armour like in the previous games there aren't really any heavy armour skins just Marcus imagine how sick that would be if you could get a raam locust skin
the graphics has become better, but cinematography and atmosphere has suffered - for example, when we should've seen lightmass bomb crush in the locust hallow, seconds before that we should've seen two drones or grenadiers and hear the part of the main GOW1 soundtrack, wich had a lot of atmosphere and cinematography in the original. Here we have only two drones with no soundtrack an they are acting like it was some fan-made 3D animation short cut, the same we have everywhere - animation is too clumsy
And also it's the queen on her tempest instead of Skorge on his hydra at the very end. Are there any more scenes in this game that aren't the exact same as the original?
They edited out RAAM's battle cry. In the original he does it right before he says "serve the queen." They also took out the flashy yellow slow motion stuff. You will know what I mean when you go back and watch the original ending. I know no one really cares but I feel the need to point it out.
I think my only tiny gripe with these cutscenes was I would've loved to see a remastered Scourge at the end, I think it just makes more sense as a tease to Gears 2 since we don't see Myrrah like that until 3
When RAAM says “Serve the queen", is he offering Marcus and Dom the opportunity to join him? The way he says it and extends his arm when doing so definitely implies it. It's like he has recognized them for their ferocity and determination, and therefore doesn't want that to go to waste.

Well made cutscene. But some parts felt like they went by way too fast and some audio edits were a little bit off for the music right when Marcus jumped into the helicopter. The last thing I have to say about this is the music. Like it felt like it was half missing. I still kinda prefer the way the one from the 360 went.

After this blasting around 100 shots with a machine gun (no matter which one) to Raams head. 2.grenade thrown from behind the second stone block on the right side followed again with 100 machine gun shots to the head. Than i jumped back behind the first stone block on the right side; thrown grenade no.3 and once again 100 machine gun shots to the head. At this point Raam still stands near the second right stone block (far away enough from my position behind the first stone block). So i thrown grenade no.4 at Raam and gave him again 100 machine gun shots to the head. ...R.I.P Raam... as he goes down and out⭐ The complete fight took less than 2 mins of time (and im not a special very good player!!)... In the last wagoon before the final fight starts you will find ANY weapons you need to win this battle and also unlimited refuel for your machine gun (last checkpoint save place before the boss fight)!! I have had with me 4 grenades/6 shot arm burst (which i not needed)/ 660 shots machine gun/ pistol. So you have 10 times the option to free Raam from the birds and 660 shots to make his head go boooom...😉👍 BTW - i also gave it a try with the sniper (also to find in the last wagoon) and with the shotgun (have had with me the entire whole game). But this did not work for me... the way i explained it may be the very easiest way to beat Raam👌
THe one thing I don't like here is the setting. Its too bright. I recall those bat things are meant to usually come out and attack in darkness, not while the sun is out. Yes, its cloudy, but not enough for it to be as bright as it is apparently. I feel the darkness of the original really helped to encapsulate the near hopelessness of the fight, a fitting setting for a final boss.
Anyone else have a hell of a time beating this guy? I beat final bosses of both Gears 2 and 3 on my first try (don’t know how you couldn’t in Gears 2 lol) but this guy gave me the most trouble by far.

i saw the game on microsofts game pass for 1 dollar so i couldnt pass it up for old time sake, was a really good experience untill the boss fight, i couldnt finish it because the boss glitched every time i tried :(
+Knight Artorias (The Abyss Walker) back in the first one it was skorge but as a theron guard since kantus weren't desinged yet by the developers so when 2 came out, they changed skorge's appearance to be a kantus so that is why they removed that skorge and replaced him with the queen in the ultimate edition ending
That bit where Marcus plugs in the data is definitely different from the game's original version. In that version it always looks like Marcus just hits a button to activate the bomb even though their mission is to first deliver the data.

I found ultimate edition....too bright, many scenes in new version lost some kind of feeling in them. a dark atmosphere shroud around the game itself. Ultimate edition did quite a feat in remaking gears of war, but not sure it is good or bad, imo.
What doesn't make sense to me is that the Queen had on her costume from Gears 3. I thought they had to salvage like the rest of the locust and that's when they made the savage Grendadier and all that with different looking suits. I thought Myrrah wouldn't have her salvaged suit on.
Returning to this vid, I'm gonna say this a thousand times more - they've made RAAM's trenchcoat look more badass, but they've fucked up his face - now he looks not like some devil-like creature, but some low-ranked drone on steroids. His original voice doesn't match his new appearance.
They shouldn't have used the queen. This will ruin the mystery in the inevitable remaster of Gears 2 to new players. The main characters don't know what she looks like, therefore the players shouldn't. Otherwise though, this remaster is incredible.

I've only played the original version of the game. I always used a Torque Bow to scatter the Kryll and then shot him with my Lancer repeating the process until he was dead.

Had to double check this video to compare original and they changed the end heavy which is kinda mess up. Only best i saw the post top 5 villain of gears of war and it mentions Queen Myrah at the ends of Gears 1 which I didn't believe it on original gears of war. It didn't mention on Ultimate edition instead saying Gears 1 smfh

It took a couple times but this way definitely worked for me and I tried several other ways that were recommended.
I found ultimate edition....too bright, many scenes in new version lost some kind of feeling in them. a dark atmosphere shroud around the game itself.
Ultimate edition did quite a feat in remaking gears of war, but not sure it is good or bad, imo.

What doesn't make sense to me is that the Queen had on her costume from Gears 3. I thought they had to salvage like the rest of the locust and that's when they made the savage Grendadier and all that with different looking suits. I thought Myrrah wouldn't have her salvaged suit on.
1 costume is a ceremonial costume, the other is for battle.

Returning to this vid, I'm gonna say this a thousand times more - they've made RAAM's trenchcoat look more badass, but they've fucked up his face - now he looks not like some devil-like creature, but some low-ranked drone on steroids. His original voice doesn't match his new appearance.
They put the queen in the ending just like Halo put the arbiter at the end of halo cea.

They shouldn't have used the queen. This will ruin the mystery in the inevitable remaster of Gears 2 to new players. The main characters don't know what she looks like, therefore the players shouldn't. Otherwise though, this remaster is incredible.

I've only played the original version of the game. I always used a Torque Bow to scatter the Kryll and then shot him with my Lancer repeating the process until he was dead.
