Just knowing that RAAM and kim had a very brief history made the first scene with him so chilling. Like he recognized him and killed him as revenge. Terrifying tbh.
Not as revenge bc Kim was always one of his targets, but the added history makes the remastered interaction between them so much cooler, like when Kim spits in RAAM's face
So cool to think that Raam, a character made last minute to have a villain, became such a memorable and loved character that he gets an entire dlc and comics dedicated to him
Yeah it shows in the first gears, the only things that show he was the leader in his first introduction was that he was doing hand signals where as here it’s more menacing with slightly more build up. Before he kinda feels like a random drone that got lucky where as in the ultimate edition he feels like this imposing threat. Say what you will about the ultimate edition but how it treats Raam is great.
Idc what anyone says Marcus Fenix is up there with Master Chief,Isaac Clarke(dead space) and Doom Slayer for some of the most badass video game characters of all time.

He killed a giant worm the size of Poland from the inside out. After it ate his evac chopper! If that doesn't put him shoulder to shoulder with those guys, nothing will.
Doom Slayer would seriously fuck up the locust though. Bare handed. But Marcus is awesome.

Everytime I heard Raam say "dieeee" I got chills as a kid playing this game. Like damn... Idk who is more bad ass. Him or Skorge.

I wish we could of used that Heavy Machine gun in Raams Shadow.
Fun fact: The actor who voices RAAM, Dee Bradley Baker, also voices Captain Rex and the clones in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

I cant get enough of the detail when Raam vaults over that railing and he actually bends that thing under his weight!
What gave me chills is how he bended that pole just by stepping down to the ground on the last mission
As I love this very Strong character and everyone wins and is very bad. I love it.

Isn’t nearly every soldier, specialized or not, just a drone? Like sure we have the Berserkers and Kantus, but one is the female drone and the other is a completely different species.
All Drones eventually turn into Theron if they live long enough
@@217adaptiveperspective Theron isn't a species, it's a rank. The only races are Drones (Drones, Grenadiers, Therons), Boomers, Kantus, Berserkers - and I guess special ones like Ragers.

Like Jermad still being a regular ranked Drone but he's got those traits and is treated like Locust Boba Fett
I know RAAM got killed but it would of been awesome to of seen him again in Gears 3 as Lambent seeing as his body was in a Lambent ocean when the train fell in.

That boss fight against him as so hard. I remember getting my dad and showing him how to play just so he could beat it for me and he still couldnt 😭i didnt know what to do . Those were the times man

@@souldominator128I think in the original, RAAM throws a bunch of haymakers before finally killing Kim.
The original might be quite cheesy, but I love it lol. The way RAAM points at Kim as if he's saying "He's mine" it's so cool
He just throws one haymaker before grabbing him
One thing I prefer is how in the original you could see RAAM way in the background walking behind Kim, far enough that you might not immediately notice him
I want RAAM for E-Day, that will be the bees knees right there.
Or At least an Easter egg? Maybe a hallway of kryll victims and a last note from a cog saying some monster clad in black controlling bats with a serrated blade carving thru his comrades 👀

Man raam was the dopest villian of the series. Sad he died so early on. We need to see more of him like the Gears of war 3 DLC
