The most difficult aspect of candle making is finding the right wick. It can be so frustrating to test many brands, their recommended sizes and the sizes above and below, yet still not be able to find a wick that works as it should.

Love your videos, Wade! Question for you... how are you doing white in your black labels? Is it white ink and are you printing yourself? Labels seem to be a bottleneck for me these last few months.
Nah that's hard to do yourself. I use a print lab to actually print them. My suggestion is to get samples from various print companies. Then find a style you like and base your design around that. :)
Hi there Wade great overview!! Well I did it I got my kit and follow their directions.. so I do have a question …. On their directions it was stated 1 pound of wax would make 3 jars I got in the kit well…. I measured 1 lb and as it was melting I thought this isn’t enough for one jar.. I added two more lbs and only got two jars.. 🤷♀️ it is Soy wax in chip form it didn’t say what kind of soy wax though.. I’m going back to view your video on the formula about measuring of wax before I make more .. you are right I’m addicted.. can’t wait to make more.. waiting a few days before lighting the two I made to see they burn etc…can you say testing?😜as always thanks so much for sharing your wealth of information!!!
Hey wade. Hope all is well.. let me start by saying that I'm huge fan of your channel because you put out great contents and it helps quite well so I always watched your videos a lot. Here is question. When using dye in my candles, should I wick up one step just to compensate for the the dye? Also, I use ( IGI 6006 wax ) with your premier 765 wick in 3" jar and 760 in 2" 7oz jar. I normally use 4-6 drops of dye in the wax . I realized that I have mushrooms build up in about 1.5-2 hours. But the hot throw is good using these size wicks. This IGI 6006 is better than straight paraffin wax because it doesn't give that smoke as paraffin wax gives, so I'm happy using it in my candles. It also gives good colors and little to no sinkhole in a single pour.
If your candle is not over-priced and is made well, they should sell. Perhaps not as quickly given the current economic situation in many countries, but people still do like the odd treat every now and then. :)
Amazing video thank you. My lady is starting up her own business and making candles but we are hitting a small problem with the wax. It continues to crack on top and inside. Is there any tips to fix this problem?
i appreciate your videos. Most of them cover the candle making part but can you make a video for those of us who would like to know how you do the marketing? for your website, using google seo, etc.. I dont live in the US but it would help me alot to get started. And where are most of your sales from? online website? spotify, etsy, facebook, retailers.
Thank you. I can try but it's really not my strongest point. Lol. I like to bring in others to help with those kind of videos. Most my sales are website and wholesale/private label clients.
Hello brother I'm dying here to start up my candle business please do you organize classes for people who are willing to learn and start up a candle business?
Wax is opaque so it will of course be a lot lighter when added and cooked in wax. That's normal. Uh can try using more dye but it's only going to get so vibrant because the dye is mixed with wax. I've had good luck with dyes from candle science and natures garden.
The one in the video was from csndle science. But I've started using a new one I love from a small business. Us they have matching wick clips that are amazing. Here is a link. Lots of color options too and great price! nordencandlesupply.com?sca_ref=1972485.DlZFh8FQu5

The measurements are the same. But different areas of the world use different scales or units of measurement. For example, oz vs grams. But grams are grams.
I want to make a candle for myself, one little candle, but I don't know if there's any wax alternative that I could possibly have at home, I can't but anything right now😢

Hi,let's say what if you buy a candle dye in my case a liquid dye[from a candle making supplier] and when you ad it in your wax.... the wax starts to boil. What can I do?
Lol. Yah this was on overview on how to make one. Not product development, testing, sounds, etc. Just the basic steps of making one. Testing is after making. And I have a ton of videos talking about testing, lol. Probably mention it too much... if that's even possibly. Lol
You're not going to make any money charging lesser prices like that though. You will want to make an actual profit if you plan to sell. Please be sure you are covering your costs of materials including shipping and paying yourself for your work as well. Otherwise you're basically putting in all the work to practically give your product away. Charge too little and you won't break even on the money and time spent to make everything. You'll be overworked and underpaid just like any other job. Don't underestimate the value of what you make just to make the price point more appealing. Not only does it hurt your potential for possibly building a business, it hurts the market of established candle makers in your area if there are any. If you make a good product, no matter what it is, don't sell yourself short. Charge the two to three times more depending on what materials you use and their cost. That's how profit and businesses work. Those prices you want to sell at really seem more for wax melts over candles. Most vessles and the wax itself wouldn't even be covered if you made several for sale let alone the other materials you would need.
Just what I needed. Length and general Information was perfect. Thank you Sir.
You're welcome
I'm launching my business today and honestly, I couldn't have done it without you. And also your wicks LOL

Just uv inhibitor
would like to know if you ever did a review on acu soy#10 soy wax xant seem to find one thanks

hello. Quick question. What i the additive yo use in your candles? I use a soy/veggie blend. Thank you
Only two o have really used are UV inhibitor if coloring your candles (optional) and vybar for certain wCes, nut usually not needed either.

My candle wax is sinking every time we put it in. Do you know why?
My wooden wicks burn out & the candles don't burn down. What do I do to improve this.
Not sure first vid on candles but off assumption I would say find a different waz mix that melts easier

Why mot use regular cotton threads?
I'm not an expert but I've used the wrong wicks and got more of a flamethrower than a candle.
