So, I'm a man, and when I was a kid, my mom made some candles with paraffin wax crayons as coloring, and I had those candles for a long time. One was in the shape of a chocolate shake with wick making the straw. And when I stumbled across this video, it brought back all those memories of my mom making those candles. Thank you so much for triggering those memories of my childhood. Also, you were very thorough in how to make them too. Great job!!

How much of the scented oil do you use if you want to make a candle highly scented? I wouldn't want to overdo it because I hear the oil is expensive, but I'd like to make a highly scented candle for myself & maybe a friend or two.

I just started making candles last summer. Have sold in some pop-up events and to people I know. I have sold many thank God. It is fun. Sometimes I doubt that my candles are good. I always ask people to please let me know if they do not come out right. Doesn't smell, doesn't light correctly or whatever if anything went wrong. But I always get great feedback.
But still I started watching more videos to see how I can improve. I came across your video and loved it!! I think it has been my favorite so far (and I have watch many!) You are a great teacher! Thank you for this tutorial. It was simple and easy to follow. You are too cute and fun to watch. Your candles are beautiful and elegant. 😊❤

I watched several videos on candle making and people kept saying crap like put 6 percent of the aroma in the candle wax. WTH does that mean? Then I see yours and you made it so much easier, "add 1 ounces of aroma for each pound of wax." I'm glad you talk to me, idiot that I 'am, and made it soooo simple. Thanks for that!!! Making candles for the first time. Fingers crossed.🤞

Thanks so much for this super helpful video. I have made candles on and off over the years. I wanted to do it again, and picked up a kit to fill in the blanks on supplies. The company did a good job, overall, but their instructions left out how to determine how much fragrance oil to add to how much soy wax. It said to "just add the appropriate amount." Yea, I'll be mentioning that in my review. hehe. Anyway, your video here supplied that easy to follow formula, and I'm very grateful for that info, and all the advice. I have 20 lbs. of soy wax in my supply cupboard from a previous craft spasm that I never finished using. I figure I'll get cracking on making that into Christmas gifts this year. :) Thanks again on this info, I subscribed and will watch the rest of your videos.

This video was great. Just a few questions:
-How do I heat up the tins before pouring if I don't have a flat surface stove as yours?
-Say for instance, I get distracted and I missed the 135 degree pour; do I re-heat the wax ?
-Can you make a video on fragrance mixing? I'm interested in building a brand and want to create my own unique scents. Is there a formula for mixing?
    Thanks in advance

Thank you for the video. I didn’t know that soy wax has “memory”. It makes perfect sense. No wonder I randomly turn the flame off without looking if the wax is burnt in a layer towards the outer walls of the container. I have expensive candles that leave about half an inch wax that can’t be used. Thank thank you

One could put the containers into a 175 F oven, and when one needed a container, one could take it out of the oven all nice and warmed up. If that's too warm, they would cool quickly.

what a great video! Everything was really clear. I do have *one* question - when you say that soy wax has a memory so the first time you burn the candle, make sure it burns to the edge ... what would that look like? How would I know that I have done it right?
Also, I'd like to make some "day of the dead" candles in tall glass cylindrical candle holders, and then wrap them in a paper design on the outside so the candle will glow through the image. Do you know of a source for the glass cylinders? And do you have any advice on glueing the images on the outside?

While I was waiting for the wax to drop in temperature to 135f I decided to put my small glass jars into the saucepan to pre heat them before pouring the wax.
One small question how do you clean the wax off the utensils when you have finished?
