Looks good, I always make them out of speaker wire, with hot glue. It's very easy and they work great. The low impedance works best when you make it series resonant. They can hold huge amounts of resonant energy. But they shine when impulsed, creating massive amounts of displacement currents. I share all my research on my channel
How do you impulse them and how do you make them resonate seriously sir? I watched a many of video s and it doesn't really show me how to do it step by step
@Master Ivo, I've seen your channel. It's one of the inspirations for making these PCB coils. If you'd like to try out one of these PCB pancake coils, let me know.
I from the old school of building Tesla Coils where you used spark and rotary gaps. It is very interesting what some of you younger generation are doing with the solid state and pancake Tesla coils.
+PerpetualMotor great job on the build of the coils. I am interesting in purchasing some of the coils but I have a few questions. I have a greater interest in the Bifilar Tesla pankcake coil at 3:55 in your video. 1. Why the two holes in the center? In the Patent the wires just start there and make their way out. The only thing I can think of is that in the PCB design it was easier to build it that way and simply BRIDGE the two holes? Maybe? Please share 2. Why the three connections again maybe a PCB contruction issue. All things being equal there is three wires but if we wanted to jump "A" to "B" I guess that can be done? And be left with just two wires? Please share on this question. 3. Is there a smaller version of the Pankcake PCB design? Say maximum 4" x 4" ? Is it possible? Please let me know so we can begin a possible purchase. Thanks FYI request left on your Instagram page as well.
@Gilbert S these are all great questions. 1. Why are there two holes in the center? - In Tesla's patent, there are two wires that spiral together from outside to inside. In a PCB coil, these two wires have to be on different layers. Those layers can only be connected with a "through hole". I could have used just one, but I wanted to make it so that if someone wanted to do any testing with just one side of the coil independently, or use both sides in parallel or series it would be an option. 2. Why the three connections? - The three connections correspond to the incoming power supply, a connection to a transistor's "Gate" (MOSFET/IGBT) or "Base" (BJT), and a connection to a transistor's "Collector" (BJT, IGBT)) or "Drain" (MOSFET). 3. Is there a smaller version? - I only designed one version of the pancake coil. You can message me on Instagram - @PerpetualMotor. I'm slow to respond, but I eventually will. Thanks for the interest.
@@mauricewright9887 yes yes I just now figured that out.....I know I'm a bit slow on the up tic lololol. I can't wait to start plying with them. Thanks again man. I've been studying up on these type of pancake coils.
I'm wondering if I could attach a bifiler coil to my 3D resin printer print bed and then design a print around it. I know I can ad layers of carbon fiber to the print so in theory it's the same thing since its a flat surface. I seen a guy use a 3D printer to lay out his coils but they were not bifiler. This will be an interesting challenge. The area that is attached to the print bed would have to be flipped over and then printed on or just brush the resin on and cure it with uv light.

@perpetualMotor This is really cool. Just getting into PCB motors and would like to try out some of your coils. Please let me know how to contact you. Thank you
The coils I need have to be a specific diameter and number of turns, so buying your pre-made coils would not work unfortunately. However, if you could sell the KiCad project file and or the STL that could be easily edited, that would be of value to me.
@Light seeker man it's free for me to design it. Why should a person use someone's python code and charge people for it? If I can speed up your research and you help someone else's research, that's what is all about. Do you have any specs that you would want for it?
Excellent research thumbs up 👍. Do you mind sharing the pcb file please? I would like to try order 4 layer pcb connected in series. If you decided to share the file please put it on github

@raza forushani thanks! There is definitely a precedent for charging for work. Rick Friedrich, Aaron Murakami, and many of the top free energy researchers are now on Patreon. And, I'm one of their patrons. John Bedini was very gracious with what he shared, but he also had products that he sold. It's important for us to support the work of others. I've ordered hundreds of dollars worth of products from Rick and Aaron, and I'm a monthly Patreon supporter for a few great researchers. The big one is directly from Nikola Tesla’s pancake coil patent. I use it as a Joule Thief (I.e. boost converter).
