Great video! Diy friendly, great sound and visual, I'm doing the wife's tomorrow and will be keeping you near bye for any points of reference I may need, thankyou!
Spot on and very helpful. I like the way you didn’t use fancy expensive tools ordinary people don’t have at home but those we do! 😀 perhaps you could have given the torque setting for the bearing nut but it seems right is good.
Finally!! Please do more videos on this type of Micra! I had this issues last year and I had to take it to the garage. On a different subject, How to reduce the wind noise inside the Micra. on the motorway it can be really load and noisy, I can hear wheel, wind, engine noise. Also to know that on 70 Mile per Hour I get 3500 RPM which is really load! I always get a headache after a long day trip. Please help!
I have a Micra 03 plate i have a noise coming from the front passenger wheel but it only appears in around 30-40mpd and in excess of this speed but its not a humming it sounds like a card does in the spokes of a bycicle wheel but get louder when i turn to the right would this also be a similar issue if it is the wheel bearing??
Howzit man , doing my bearing change, what size is that socket that you used to remove old sleeve and does the socket sit on a flat surface or in the sleeve tappered part ( the curved inside) Hope to hear back soon and thank you for such a useful video 💪💪💪
can the abs ring fall off during replacement ? how easy can the abs ring be moved the wife had hers done but come back with an abs fault code but the person who did it dosnt recall seeing the ring ? thanks for any info
Good still you could have used plastic hammer while hammering bearing or some flat plate over the hammering area to insert the bearing perfectly in the position Still your job is good
@ Peters Schlagerbox. Thank you Peters, very useful information about which way to turn the bearing. 'The bearing has two sides, the lettering must face outwards'. Sehr geschätzt, vielen Dank und die besten Grüße und Grüße aus Irland
Did I just see you removed the rear brake drum whilst the car was held up Only on the jack???? That's not a very good way to show your subscribers the correct way to do this or any other repair that entails lifting the vehicle. You must know this???
in some ways the bearing change good but no attension paid to cleaness and the blowing of brake dust is not on by any ones standards thanks any way but profesionlism is important.

What kind of socket did you use to remove the outer bearing race?
good job
Does same bearing fit for Datsun GO
Thank you for this video but is there a torque setting for the hub nut please?
175 nm according to the workshop manual
What size socket did you use to knock out housing, thanks
32 mm or larger works well
Howzit man , doing my bearing change, what size is that socket that you used to remove old sleeve and does the socket sit on a flat surface or in the sleeve tappered part ( the curved inside)

When replacing the drums, does it mater what way round you press the bearings in?
No the bearings are symmetrical
I have Nissan 2004 can I use this video to do mine .. where I can buy the part and where I can buy the tools exactly what you used
eBay .com done
Excellent video, is the big nut "grunt tight" or torqued up to any particular value? As it looks like an uber-nylok I guess the former?
175 nm according to the user manual. A new nyloc nut is provided in most bearing kits.
well done
Ouch at 3:35, did you get your thumb on that?
Nice one
Can you help ship a bearing here in The Philippines
Great video, do you not need to pack the bearing with grease before reassembly?
they are sealed bearings
thanks for the video :) just wondering if you know whether 2004 model would have exactly same hubs/drums
Look at the video description and intro screen, which explain, "...Nissan Micra, 3rd generation 2003-2010."

can the abs ring fall off during replacement ? how easy can the abs ring be moved the wife had hers done but come back with an abs fault code but the person who did it dosnt recall seeing the ring ? thanks for any info
you can buy the ring on ebay for about £8 ( and it taps on til flush )
Good still you could have used plastic hammer while hammering bearing or some flat plate over the hammering area to insert the bearing perfectly in the position
Still your job is good
Which size is the wrenxh for the big nut?
30mm
And just the same wheel, but I have still noise coming and he said probably need to replace other wheel as well
What size socket did you use
To knock the inertial bearing race out
32 mm works well
Well! ...
My wife's wasn't as easy as this!
I had to fabricate my own press to get the old one out! Wouldn't budge with just a hammer
Mine had the same problem 2 hours of smashing the thing and no movement .Ended up buying a full rear drum with bearing included as was a good price .

Sound
Whats the god damn torque
Sadly mine bearing outer was stuck so be prepared to find someone with a press.
I'm surprised you didn't pack some grease into the bearing housing.
blowing the brakes is no good..
brakw cleaner and a wire brush maybe more useful in some places
Tirty mm what is that
Did I just see you removed the rear brake drum whilst the car was held up Only on the jack????

not using axle stand, discharging brake dust into the atmosphere, very bad
Not much help to me. Mine is the RH bearing. Thanks anyway.
What size socket did you use to knock out housing, thanks
diameter 50 mm +/- 1 mm
I used a 32 mm, that works well. Can be larger.
