Great vid, well done for sharing your honest takings and timings👍 something most businesses won’t do!
Hope everything’s good with the new member👶👍
Thanks for watching and commenting. New member is doing well thank you. I don’t mind people knowing how much I had taken. I never believe these people that say they earn £500 a day window cleaning. I aim for about £250 per day.
Great to see you reaching over the connys, I think I have my pole lower, so may give the higher stance a go. As for the 2 properties next to each other 1 with decorative lead, I find that the flocked brushes are very good on regular cleans - try using the flocked on both houses - I'm sure it will give a good clean. I'm just debating which 35cm brush with my new gardiners pole and I'm leaning towards the extreme flocked sill for most of my regular cleans.
Yeah I think I need to get a wider flocked brush. Never really thought of using the flocked on the other one. Thanks. I’m thinking of getting a 4ft CLX for bungalows and was going to get an extreme brush with it to try.
@@yourcleanerwindows6969 I have a clx8 and its great for bungalows and big connys. I love the extreme 35cm sill brushes - the tapertec and flocked are great although the tapertec does wear a bit quicker than the non extreme versions but they are nice an light especially reaching over connys! Wider brushes do seem to get the work done quicker while still maintaining quality.
Would you recommend the clx8 over the clx4? I live using the wide brushes. Never thought it would make that much difference but when you get used to them it really does speed things up.
@@yourcleanerwindows6969 I actually bought the clx8 as there was a better deal on it than the clx4 at the time. I do quite like the extra reach for over bushes or down the side of connys by fences etc but it's almost double the weight of the clx4. The clx4 is about 20cm shorter than the clx8 so good for tight spaces. Either will be good and it's so nice to grab such a light pole for the odd job and it seems faster.
@ched999uk thanks for the advice. I’m undecided about which to get yet.
To be honest man I don't know why you're just rinsing when you're on the glass you don't need to lift the brush to rinse after you've cleaned everything you might need to increase your water flow but it's worth it.
I guess it’s habit. I’ll have to give it a go.
Thanks for vid , I prefer the smaller houses that are hassle free as opposed to the bigger houses where I’m messing around to overcome extensions etc, keep up the good work
Thanks for the comment and watching the video. Couldn’t agree more about the little houses.
I used to clean the front doors first, so when i knocked at the end most of the water had run off the door. Saved them getting a wet hallway later. Since Covid most people are working from home so not much need anymore to knock on the doors before or after a clean. Helps speed the day up too. Hope getting back to work after the newborn has been easy, weather looks good for you mate.
It’s been hard and I’ve had to miss a lot this month ( monthly cleans) all the customers were understanding but the bank balance suffered. I’ve got a busy week this week of gutter clears, soffit and fascias and solar panels so plenty of opportunity to film and will make the money back that I lost.
@@yourcleanerwindows6969 You'll be fine Matt your customers will be great. Bet you will lose time with customers asking after the babe, but it is great when customers show an interest about you and the family. You also get to understand why they like it whn you show an interest in them.
@CrystalCleanWindows 👍
Thanks for watching again.
What’s your go to brush. What flow rate water mate
@@joerobinson1197 my go to brush for a normal windows is the 36cm Xline systems DuPont with the internal rinse bar. There is a link in the description. I run my flow rate at 80 for this brush because you need to get a decent flow through the 11 holes in the rinse bar. I find that the larger brush helps me to clean quicker and the increased flow rate helps me rinse quick. Over a day I get more work done but I’m not using more water than when I used a smaller brush.
Do you have to use a squeegee after using the water-fed pole?
No the water is pure. It’s been through various filters to remove all the minerals etc. if the window is cleaned correctly then when left to dry it dries spot free. We find it’s gives a much through clean of all the frames etc.
