Another great job well done Tom . Thank you for making the videos mate ,I appreciate the effort involved in making them, I really enjoy watching your content keep them coming Tom
Just wanted to say Tom that I started watching your videos about six months ago and are thoroughly enjoying them. As an ex-plumber I served my apprenticeship 1984 to 1988 and progressed into site management. The quality of your workmanship is very good, you can see you take pride in what you do.From my point of view it’s interesting to see how the trade has progressed over the last 35 years. It makes me smile regarding some of the things you do which brings back memories when I was on the tools. I have no doubt that you will be very successful in your business hard work always pays off,so again just wanted to say a big thank you for your excellent content.👍
Hi Tom, another great looking installation, nice and neat in the cupboard an excellent job. Thank you for the time you take to film, edit and upload the content, I always look forward to the next film and appreciate the time and effort you put in. Have a great week and as always, take care. 👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Dennis, I love making them to be honest, it takes a bit of my time but I would probably only be sat watching Tv anyway
Nice install Tom, those Worcesters look smart, your efforts for the videos are appreciated, I for one look forward to seeing what jobs your doing, take care. 👍🚽
Lovely tidy job Tom always enjoy to watch your videos. I’ve just recently passed my Gas so not much experience but watching your videos teaches me a lot so thanks Tom. 👊🏻
Can’t believe you’ve been doing videos for 3yrs. Time flies!!! Hope you keep going with the channel Tom. I’m not a plumber but I’ve picked up a few little tips off your videos on basic plumbing. Although I’d never touch the gas side. 😮 😀
Thanks for the support as always Ian, the time has gone really fast, it's weird when I scroll back through the old videos as it's easy to forget jobs I'd done, they're kind of a time capsule for me, I wish I had started 10 years or so ago but hopefully will make them for a good while yet
Great vid as always Tom. Didn't comment on your last video but hope you get your van sorted soon. We all have days where everything goes to pot. Just life keeping us on our toes. Hope you're having a better week this week 😊
Thanks for the support as always Tom, I think we are back on track, sometimes everything goes wrong at once but all you can do is crack on and keep moving forward
Thanks for the support as always mate, I have fitted a few ideals, there not bad boilers, the customer wanted a Worcester on this job but I know every installer has their favourite boiler
I do like them, my only gripe is with the side panels, there should be an extra hook half way up to hold them on straighter, it bugs me every time I fit an 8000, thanks for watching as always Tony
Fair point, I found if you get the gas started everything lines up for me, everyone has there own little ways of doing things though so as long as it works for you, it's all good, thanks for watching mate
Oh the days of the isolation valves peeing out once you've touched them. Even just looking at them! The diverter change and of course the expansion removal.
Thanks for the support as always Colin, I use them a fair bit on commercial jobs where people hide blenders and valves behind cupboards with no thought for maintenance, the panels just look neater than a hole. They make ones you can lock as well which are perfect for some places
Love the vids mate top work as always. Quick question what tool was that what you used for the fittings I can only guess it tightens the copper fittings to the pipe tighter haha first time I’ve seen one
Great video Tom, how do you like worcesters internal filling loop?. You are a credit to the plumbing and heater industry. Thank you for all of your efforts on your channel.
I like them, they are nice to install and I find them easy to work on, even the older ones with the hidden prv I don't find too bad, thanks for watching as always Andy
Worcester quite peticular about the condensate being done in inch and quarter with an air break being done with the company I work with...enjoying the video
Thanks for watching mate, it doesn't mention anything in the instructions about air gaps when using internal gravity discharges or upgrading to 1/14. I find they block where installers glue the elbow as well as the pipe as it pushes all the glue onto the shoulder of the fitting inside, I tend to only glue the pipe for this reason
Have you ever had an issue with the O rings on them fittings with the press gun? I’ve only ever seen traditional method and thinking about trying yours next time I get called into work
Piss poor customer had a faulty integrated filling loop (unable to fill the system in a combi). I have suggested a simple solution: to add a filling loop anywhere else on the system - actually in the nearby room. Double-check valve, detachable hose, and two valves. I am not gas trained and I did not touch the boiler. Have I got into a legally sticky territory?
Sometimes an external fill loop is a great idea, you will be fine if all you are doing is adding a fill loop onto a system, it's no different to working on a radiator, thanks for watching
I get my stuff from Mkm, the last couple of years they have been cheaper for me, I do get a couple of quotes for expensive items as you can win or lose a job with material price. I used to use a local independent but I was paying a lot more, I know they have costs but I have to look after my self first. Thanks for the support mate
@@PlumbLikeTomthat’s great I have been fitting theses Baxi mains and just been buying them of of a small company but the bigger suppliers don’t sell them just the 400s, but there is a big difference in price, what’s you thoughts on them?
Hi Tom I have a 21 year old Baxi combi & it's running spot on. I get it serviced every year by British gas but they they don't want to cover it because it's too old and have put the cover upto £430 for the year. Would you recommend I change to a new boiler and what boiler would you recommend.
It is a tricky one, 430 is a lot of money to be paying for boiler cover, I would cancel it and put the money aside for when the boiler needs replacing. When you need a new boiler get a few quotes from local installers, British gas will likely be more expensive, but go with whoever you feel happiest with, thanks for watching
That seems about the going rate, I wasn't the cheapest quote on this one according to the customer but they still went with me, I always try to get feedback on every job whether I win or lose a quote, just so I get a feel of where the markets at
I do get quite a few, I normally get between 5 and 10 a video but my most is 60, I don't know why that video got so much hate as it was no different to my others, it is a horrible feeling when you get hate as the videos take a fair bit of time, thanks for watching mate
Problem with this boiler is that how is the home owners or tenants ment to know what the pressure is if they need to top up the pressure the gauge is behind the cover it's a bad design that otherwise nice boiler
It tells you on the room thermostat if the pressure is low, it even comes up with a message to stay stop stop filling, they do make an auto top up for these as well which replaces the standard fill loop, thanks for watching Chris
Love all the content, not much to say just wanted to show appreciation.
Thanks mate, I really apprecaite all the support
Great to see you work. Personally I’d fit Ideal as I don’t like all the plastic in a WB. Thanks for doing all the video. Nice hat!
Thanks for the support as always Ian, I have done a few ideals

Never picking worcester over ideal. Ideal literally fits itself they are that easy plus hundreds less. Good video Tom 👍
Thanks for the support as always mate, I have fitted a few ideals, there not bad boilers, the customer wanted a Worcester on this job but I know every installer has their favourite boiler
We had an Ideal Vogue C40 installed when we did the house extension 7 years ago. Touch wood never had an issue with it.
Great video as always. Keep us updated on the van 👍🏼
Thanks mate, hopefully should have it back very soon

The new Worcesters are nice Boiler I think there probably one the quietest one on the market now

Thanks Dave Essex
You need 1m of copper before plastic from the boiler, thanks for watching Dave

Cancel BG. Put the money in the bank in case you need to call a plumber. Only replace if it is beyond economic repair.

If you attempt a claim, all BG do, is condemn it, leaving you cold in the middle of winter...
1 or 2 days £400/ £500 a day Labour depends if it’s a simple swap or more complicated running new gas line etc
